Abstract

PT. Restindo Dayatama is a manufacturer company engaged in the car body industry which concentrates on seat products, especially bus seats. PT.Restindo Dayatama in procuring goods cannot be separated from computerization. When the stock of goods in the warehouse runs out, the warehouse clerk submits a request for goods to the procurement by providing a letter of request for goods made through Microsoft Excel. This process is constrained by efficiency, and there is often duplication of data on demand for goods which results in goods piling up in warehouses. Therefore, PT. Restindo Dayatama requires a procurement information system that can assist in carrying out procurement transactions, calculating and storing more data, accessing data faster and making time more efficient. The development method uses DFD (Data Flow Diagram) and system development that will be built using a waterfall so as to produce a procurement information system.

Abstract

The paper analysed the relationship amid board characteristics and environmental information disclosure of listed Nigerian manufacturing firms. The data used were sourced from twenty (20) Nigerian listed companies from the manufacturing sectors, which were randomly chosen from manufacturing firms listed on the Nigerian stock market between 2013 and 2017. The study made use of ordinary least squares regression. According to the research findings, there exists a positive and significant relationship linking board independence and environmental disclosure in Nigeria’s oil and gas and manufacturing sectors. In line with the results, a large board of directors comprised of foreign directors would improve firms’ environmental disclosure. Furthermore, this study’s findings would help organisations satisfy stakeholders’ needs in their corporate governance practices. This study throws light on voluntary disclosures and how firms can adjust their corporate governance practices to boost their environmental disclosures, which is a contemporary issue because stakeholders demand more information that affects their investing decisions.

Abstract

In this competitive business era, Klinik Bunga Melati (KBM) has changed its business and management strategies 3 times in the last 2 years with the aim of adjusting internal and external conditions in the health sector and make KBM superior to other competitors. KBM expects the development of technology that can be applied efficiently and integrated between KBM internally. In 2018, KBM teamed up with the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Kesehatan. In this regard, BPJS provides a Health Facilities Information System (HFIS) with the aim of making it easier for health units to make claims. But the leader of the KBM considers HFIS not suitable to be implemented in the KBM Welirang Branch. The KBM Welirang Branch staff must do 2x recapitulation of patient medical records every day. There are quite a lot of variables in HFIS besides self-data, staff must also write data related to diagnosis, details of drugs used, drug costs, and doctor's fees. Based on the KBM leaders interview, this is considered to be very time-consuming and costly because HR has to work 2x more and patients need more time to get action. HOT-Fit method is considered suitable for this research because this model can provide an explanation and provide an evaluation of the application a system in the field of health services from human factors (human), technology (technology), organization (organization) and net benefits. The output of this research is an analysis of aspects that need to be improved and the match rate of HFIS implementation in the KBM Welirang.

Abstract

The growth of an industry growth couldn’t be separated from technology development. Nowadays, technology development mostly affected by digitalization, which brought us to industry 4.0 era. The same thing also occurs in construction industry, although its development relatively slower than the growth in manufacturing industry. Construction technology, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D printing, and robotic equipments, has been introduced to construction industry. BIM is defined as digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility, forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle. However, in the end, technological development in Construction Industry depends on industry players’ readiness to accept and implement the most advance technology. This research’s focus is on BIM technology acceptance among players in Indonesia Construction Industry. The research will be conducted in Indonesia Construction Industry, data will be collected through questionnaires asked to the industry players, such as, consultants, project owners, and contractors who have already use BIM technology for their projects. The analysis will be conducted using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM is a model which was developed to enhance our understanding about user acceptance of a technology, thus could enable technology designer and implementator to evaluate the system before it being implemented. The research’s result shows that Indonesia Construction Industry is able to accept BIM technology, the conclusion is taken because all the variables used in TAM has higher than 3 on 1 to 5 Likert scale. Path analysis also shows that Attitude Toward Usage variable do not affect Behavioral Intention variable. Direct, Indirect, and Total Effects analysis show that BIM technology acceptance is affected by Perceived of Usefulness. This result could be used as a basis to introduce BIM to new users, that people are more interested in its usefulness rather than ease of use variable.
