Abstract

ABSTRACTNutrition problem contributes to the death rate of toddler. In Aceh Province during 2013,  there are 855 toddlers suffering malnutrition and only 14,04% of them recovered, 2,46% died and there are still 714 more toddlers under treatment.Qualitative descriptive research with observational design through action research approach using  Geographical Information System (GIS) are carried out in the city of Banda Aceh where the sample of children with malnutrition are obtained from the result of nutrient status monitoring, weighing routine data in posyandu, investigation of the health facilities and the report from society. The collected dependent data variables are children with severe malnutrition and malnourished children, the residence location of the research subjects, the work place of the nutrient management employee, the community health center (puskesmas) and serving fasilities of children with severe malnutrition by Global Positioning System (GPS).The distribution pattern and regions prone to children with malnutrition are concentrated in Kecamatan Kuta Raja, Kecamatan Meuraxa and Kecamatan Ule Kareng. In those districts, the number of children with severe malnutrition is above 0,6% and the number of malnourished children is also above 1,5% of the minimum tolerance number of children set by the City Health Department of Banda Aceh. The percentage of the weighed children to the number of target (D/S) for those districts is in between 53,7% to 69,5%. The number of recovered children after being treated is 7,2%, while 0,9% are died and 9,9% of the children with severe malnutrition are dropped out.  The number and the distribution of nutrient management employee are not sufficient and they are not well trained with 21,2% of the posyandu are active. In the other hand, the number and the distribution of puskesmas and hospital are fairly equally distributed throughout Banda Aceh. The development of severe malnutrition children monitoring management information system creates the information of improvement of children with severe malnutrition, distribution map of nutritional cases, the distribution of human resources and the health facilities, and produces a report of success coverage of nutritional program indicator. The distribution pattern and regions prone to malnutrition are distributed in the coastal area and in the city border which are slum and poor region. The regions also suffer low quantity and quality of nutrient officer, limited operational infrastructure, and only few posyandu are active . The severe malnutrition children monitoring management information system can help through evaluating the improvement of the children’s recovery and it can also produce various information needed. Keywords: Spatial information system, improvement monitoring, toddler, severe malnutrition

Abstract

Field Work Lecture (KKN) is one of the activities carried out by all students of the 45 Bekasi Islamic University to apply the knowledge gained while sitting in lectures as well as a real form of community service. To help support KKN (Field Work Lectures) activities, a training program related to the 2021/2022 period KKN (Field work lectures) activity program is needed. The purpose of this training program is to improve the knowledge, attitudes and skills of students in SMK about building drawing technology using 3D (three-dimensional) SketchUp. This program discusses the stages in drawing a one-story residential building technique using the 3D (three-dimensional) digital method. There are many kinds of computer applications that are used to draw in 3D (three dimensions). Although there are many, the SketchUp application was chosen as an interesting solution for drawing 3D (three- dimensional) buildings, because using this application the process is not too difficult. From the results of the training carried out, it can be said that building design can be more effective and efficient if it is implemented into a three-dimensional design, so that the final results can be presented.

Abstract

The specification of the cooling load or chiller in the FTI UPGRIS dean's room currently requires a review of the distribution of cooling air in the room due to the number of electronics and occupants in the room and the size of the air conditioner. Therefore, the room must be taken into account to prevent insufficient cooling load, As a result, it is impossible to reach the desired temperature and humidity set. The FTI Dean's room has an air conditioner with a cooling capacity of 1 unit. It should be able to cover the amount of cooling in the room. To calculate the cooling load borne by the room of the Dean of the FTI UPGRIS, an analysis of the calculation of the cooling load was carried out to determine the number of cooling units needed to provide sufficient cooling in the Dean Room of the FTI UPGRIS. Data collection techniques obtained from the results of research in the room used quantitative research. quantitative data that the largest load is the sensible load 322753.21 Btu/hr, and the latent load is 47152.52 Btu/hr with the total cooling load 369905.73 Btu/hr + 5% Safety Factor (SF) 388.401.01 Btu/hr at 16.00 WIB. Why does the highest load occur at 13.00 WIB, this is due to the maximum load or the peak of the cooling load in the FTI Dean's room. And in terms of the load density of the FTI Dean's room of 388,401.01 Btu/hr divided by the building area of the FTI Dean's room of 530.76 ft^2, the result is that the cooling load density is 731.78 (Btu/hr) per ft^2. From research in the FTI Dean's room, the result was 113.83 Kwatt. The selection of AC units is adjusted to the size of the room, the larger the room that is cooled in the FTI Dean's room, 2 AC units are installed with a power of 1.5 pk with a capacity of 12,000 Btu/hr.

Abstract

This study focuses on the vulnerability of general knowledge held in semantic memory. Previous studies have shown that exposure to inaccurate information can negatively affect prior knowledge. This study explores the effect of exposure to inaccurate information on semantic memory, presented in nonfiction articles. The procedure consisted of a pretest (general knowledge quiz), a manipulation stage one week later with articles containing inaccurate information for the experimental group and neutral information for the control group, and a posttest (another general knowledge quiz) given immediately after the manipulation stage. The participants were 55 Universitas Indonesia undergraduate students, divided into control and experimental groups by randomized matching based on the pretest results. An independent sample t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental group (M = −1.538, SD = 1.794) and the control group (M = 0.517, SD = 1.639), (t(53) = −4.441, p < 0.01, two-tailed), with the experimental group showing a decline in general knowledge quiz scores. These findings demonstrate that exposure to inaccurate information affects semantic memory by interfering with the retrieval process of that memory.

Abstract

The practice of publishing photos and videos containing children’s private information on social media—also known assharenting—is popular among parents in Jakarta. Embarking from the debate about privacy paradox in which it is believed that privacy concern does not predict someone’s behaviors in managing his/her private information online, this research tries to reveal the considerations underlying parental decisions when sharing their children’s private information through social media and their perceived risk toward their children’s online safety. Using qualitative approach, the researcher conducted interviews with 20 parents in Jakarta with at least one child younger 13 year old. The result suggests that the perceived benefit of sharenting exceeds its perceived risks. The study also found four reasons why parents exercise sharenting: to document their children’s development, to gain social support from their followers on social media, to overcome loneliness as a new parents and the low self-efficacy of parents in protecting children’s privacy on the internet. Unsurprisingly sharenting through social media has become a growing trend among parents. This finding thus will be useful as a groundwork to develop an intervention program with regards to relevant sharenting in the context of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between corporate governance, information asymmetry, and earnings management. Prior research indicates that information asymmetry negatively correlated with earnings management (Richardson, 2001). As predicted, this study also found negative correlation between bid-ask spread, as a proxy of information asymmetry, and discretionary accruals, as a proxy of earnings management. In addition, we also test whether corporate governance mechanisms will impact the level of discretionary accruals and eventually affect firm value. We use several variables as proxies of corporate governance mechanisms such as institutional ownership, audit quality, independent board, and existence of audit committee. We found that audit committee has significant negative relation with discretionary accruals. This indicates that audit committee existence is effectively constraining the level of earnings management. This study also has that proportion of independent board and existence of audit committee increase the positive relationship between discretionary accruals and stock return. These indicates that earnings management conducted by firms having higher proportion of independent board and firms having audit committee will be valued higher by the market.
