Abstract

This research aims to present teachers at SMPN 7 Batanghari, Jambi Province, with a focus on planning, implementation and obstacles faced in the evaluation process. Qualitative methods are used to explore teachers' experiences, perspectives and motivations through interviews, observations and document analysis. The research results show that teacher performance evaluations are carried out regularly every semester, with the aim of improving teacher performance and professionalism. Even though there is a complete evaluation system and the implementation of the Independent Curriculum which provides uniqueness in learning, there are still obstacles such as limited time, lack of teacher commitment, and difficulties in implementing a culture of discipline. This research emphasizes the importance of effective communication and school management support to overcome these challenges, so that the quality of education at SMPN 7 Batangharican continue to be improved.

Abstract

The principal's leadership plays a strategic role in shaping the work ethic culture and discipline of teachers, particularly in Islamic educational institutions that are required to meet academic quality standards while upholding religious values. This study aims to describe the form of transformational leadership at MTsN 2 Jombang, analyze the work ethic culture of teacher discipline, and examine the role of transformational leadership in improving the work ethic culture and discipline of teachers at the institution. This study employed a qualitative method with a naturalistic-descriptive approach and a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study involving the principal, teachers, and educational support staff selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis followed the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that transformational leadership was implemented comprehensively through four dimensions: consistent role modeling (idealized influence), inspirational motivation grounded in prophetic values (inspirational motivation), intellectual stimulation through open communication (intellectual stimulation), and individualized consideration.

Abstract

Objective: Curriculum reform in Indonesia has shifted significantly from the 2013 Curriculum (K-13) to the Merdeka Curriculum, which aims to provide learning flexibility and character development. However, implementing this conceptual framework creates a gap between expectations and reality in primary education, particularly in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). This study aims to analyze the challenges and readiness of MI during this curriculum transition. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate a notable discrepancy between ideal expectations and field realities. While the Merdeka Curriculum is expected to reduce administrative burdens and center on students, MI teachers face major obstacles. These include limited formal training, difficulties in designing differentiated lesson plans, and adaptation challenges with digital grading applications. This study concludes that the transition from K-13 to the Merdeka Curriculum in MI is still in a challenging phase that requires intensive assistance and sustainable guidance rather than a simple administrative change.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of educational institution marketing strategies through the online Trial Class program at SMP Al Furqan MQ Tebuireng Jombang through the lens of the 7P Services Marketing Mix framework, as well as to measure its effectiveness in converting public interest into actual new student enrollment decisions. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a field research case study design, where data were intensively gathered in April 2026 through a combination of triangulation techniques, including limited participant observation of virtual instructional processes, in-depth interviews with 6 key informants (the principal, public relations coordinator, practicing teachers, and parents), and authentic documentation analysis, which were subsequently processed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings demonstrate that the integration of the 7P marketing mix into the Trial Class program yielded a highly significant quantitative impact, whereby out of a total accumulation of 365 active elementary school student participants, 207 students (56.71%) officially converted into registered new students, thereby dominating 95.39% of the institution's official new student enrollment capacity. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the tactical formulation modifying traditional "Place" elements into digital ecosystems (Zoom and WhatsApp) combined with the packaging of a miniature "3 in 1" curriculum (classical tahfidz Al-Qur'an and modern science based on SEAQIS standard STEM) as a free "Price" core product to break down psychological barriers to entry and overcome the intangibility of Islamic boarding school services through the seamless, original, and interconnected fulfillment of David A. Kolb's Experiential Learning Cycle stages.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a problem based learning -based Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) on taxation materials to improve students’ learning outcomes and to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed product. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The product was tested on 36 eleventh-grade students of SMAN 1 Kedamean using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Research instruments included validation sheets from material, media, and evaluation experts, student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest questions. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis, validity percentage, practicality percentage, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the developed PBL-based E-LKPD achieved a very high level of validity, with material validation of 94%, media validation of 93%, and evaluation validation of 93%. The practicality test indicated that the product was very practical, with percentages of 96% for content, 97% for presentation, and 94% for language aspects. The effectiveness test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the N-Gain score was 0.6858, which falls into the moderate category. Therefore, the PBL-based E-LKPD on taxation material is considered valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes

Abstract

study aims to analyze the influence of inflation and interest rates on economic growth in Indonesia. The type of research is associative research. The data used is time series data for the period 1986–2024 sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the World Bank. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression, preceded by a stationarity test to ensure the validity of the data. The results show that inflation has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia, meaning that increasing inflation tends to reduce the rate of economic growth. Meanwhile, interest rates do not have a significant effect on economic growth, although they have a very small positive coefficient. Simultaneously, inflation and interest rates are able to explain 52.5 percent of the variation in economic growth, while the remainder is influenced by other variables outside the research model. These findings indicate that inflation stability is an important factor that needs to be a primary focus in the formulation of economic policies to support sustainable economic growth in Indonesia

Abstract

Objective: This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach regarding the implementation of educational supervision at SMK Ma'arif NU 2 Ajibarang. This study aims to describe the implementation of educational supervision carried out in schools referring to the administrative supervision program and academic supervision. Educational supervision at SMK Ma'arif 0NU 2 Ajibarang is implemented through 5 stages, namely program planning, program socialization, administrative supervision, academic supervision, and evaluation and follow-up. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is the data analysis technique according to Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that educational supervision at SMK Ma'arif NU 2 Ajibarang has been systematically programmed through the existence of educational supervision documents prepared by the Curriculum Division. Planning and socialization have been implemented optimally. However, the implementation of supervision, especially at the academic supervision stage, has not been optimally implemented because it was implemented in the second semester and not all teachers have carried out academic supervision. The school will conduct an evaluation of the entire program at the beginning of the school year as an effort to optimize the educational supervision program in the following school year.

Abstract

It focuses on how local cultural values shape interpersonal communication patterns that subsequently contribute to the development of social empathy and diaspora solidarity. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight Madurese migrant informants, participant observation, and documentation conducted in Selangor, Johor, and Penang, Malaysia. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that interpersonal communication within the Madurese diaspora is strongly influenced by the cultural value of bhuppa’-bhabhu’-ghuru-rato, which serves as a normative framework guiding social relationships and interactions. This cultural orientation promotes familial, affective, and trust-based communication among community members. As a result, multidimensional social empathy emerges, encompassing cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. Social empathy is reflected not only in migrants’ understanding of the difficulties and experiences of fellow migrants but also in tangible forms of assistance and mutual support. Furthermore, social empathy functions as a foundation for the formation of diaspora solidarity, which is manifested through informal support networks and collective actions within the migrant community.
