Abstract

Human life is motivated by searching of meaning. Life without meaning is unbearable. This is the condition where human being undergoes existential vacuum. Logoteraphy, as existential counseling and psychotherapy, helps human being to solve this existential problem. There are three ways to reach the meaning of life: (1) creative values, (2) experiential values, and (3) attitudinal values. Logoteraphy fundamentally believes that human being has positive freedom and responsibility. Based on those two qualities human being can transcend their condition: though they are not free from certain conditions, they have freedom to take a stand in every condition. The meaning of life can be experienced in all conditions, also in the situation of incurable sufferings.

Abstract

The faithful of the Archdiocese of Semarang put a high respect on the Eucharist in their daily life. In many parishes, there are so many people who celebrate and participate in the Eucharist. Besides, they also try to understand and fully experience the Eucharist in their daily life among others. This research, concludes that the Eucharist as the expression of the faith was fully experienced by the people of Santo Yohanes Rasul Somohitan Parish. It was supported by many kinds of means and by the proper understanding of the Eucharist. The Eucharist also gave the positive influences to the personal growth and the sensitivity of the social situations. This research showed that there was a close relationship between lex orandi, lex credendi, and lex vivendi. What the people pray, is what people believe in, and what the people believe in, is what the people fully experience. The Eucharists full and comprehension in Santo Yohanes Rasul Somohitan parish should be evaluated continuesly. Based on that discovery, the Church was expected to give cathecism and other activities which could improve the Eucharists full and comprehension. And could give more positive influences to the community life.

Abstract

Prophecy and liturgy is not a common topic to talk. In general, prophecy is often confronted to liturgy, as many shown in the Old Testament where lots of prophets criticized the Jewish that were strongly hold their devotion and worship to God, but surprisingly their life was much far away from justice and truth. In the context of church life nowadays, a topic about prophecy and liturgy may be focused on the discussion related to prophetic liturgy. Is it possible that liturgy has a characteristic of prophetic? This writing is a research study to find the meaning and possibilities of prophetic liturgy. Throughout qualitative study and liturgy significance intensifying as the unity with God, we could analyze and explore the deepest relationship between liturgy and prophecy. By deepening a prophets role and how a prophet catch Gods will, this writing offers three dimensions of prophetic liturgy. The prophetic meaning and characteristic of the liturgy is demanded by the very nature of the liturgy itself.

Abstract

Religions in a pluralistic society meet two main challenges, namely religious pluralism and the crying of the oppressed. Religious studies have to take serious consideration of the presense of other religions as well as to engage in an interreligious dialogue and to participate in the struggle of the oppressed. This article proposes religious studies that is both interreligious and liberative.

Abstract

Sejarah perjumpaan Kristen-lslam diwarnai oleh pemahaman timbal balik dan perseteruan, dan keduanya mengenai Trinitas dalam peranan Yesus Kristus dalam hubungan manusia dengan Allah. Dengan dasar Sabda Allah dalam Al-Qur'an mengenai Trinitas, teologi lslam sepanjang sejarah mempersoalkan kristologi serta ajaran tentang Trinitas itu; sebaliknya, teologi kristiani menjawab pertanyaan dan peftentangan itu, pada umumnya secara apologetis, untuk membenarkan ajaran kristiani. Bukankah dalam perdebatan itu juga pantas dipertanyakan rumus iman kristiani?Buku lmanuel memperlihatkan bagaimana terbentuk kristologi (dan ajaran tentang Trinitas), mulai dari pengalaman-pengalaman murid-murid Kristus sampai monjadi dogma dan kaidah iman. Sejarah itu menghadapkan pada pembaca dengan pertanyaan inti: bagaimana bicara dewasa ini sehingga orang dapat mengerti bahwa Allah menyertai kita dalam Yesus Kristus (lmanuel!) ? lmanuel membuka kembali pertanyaan bagi orang kristiani: Ajaran kristologi menekankan bahwa manusia Yesus Kristus berelasi amat khusus dengan Allah dan ajaran itu sekaligus harus menghindari kesan triteisme. Abstract

This article focused on Contextually Christology reflections. They are Leonardo Boffs Christology reflection in Latin America, Aloysius Pieris in Asian, and Banawiratmas in Indonesian as the examples of Contextual Christology reflection with different context. Comparative method is used to learn the idiosyncrasy of each author in context to present the meaning of Jesus Christ in the churchs struggle and experiences in different context. From this research it was found that contextually Christological reflection found an image of Christ in which it lives and edifying the church struggle now a days. Christians are the majority group in Latin America. The faiths of Jesus Christ encourage fighting for liberation and justice in the middle of various socio economic and politic life of bondage. In Asia, Christian are minority, the preaching of the faith of Jesus Christ as a savior is only effective in a dialogue with a view to safety in Asian religion. In Indonesian contextual, the dialogue with the local community in introducing Christ to be approached by understanding the meaning of sacrifice in relation with a real love of the neighbor.
