Abstract

ABSTRAKDalam penelitian ini peneliti membahas tentang sebuah permasalahan yakni jenis-jenis praanggapan apa saja yang terdapat pada komentar halaman penggemar facebook.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi, dan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis  praanggapan dalam komentar halaman facebook. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, yakni metode yang menggambarkan secara sistematis atau mendeskripsikan peristiwa secara langsung maupun tidak langsung.Data yang diambil adalah sebuah komentar pada halaman facebook yang mengandung makna praanggapan.Hasil analisis dari penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa dalam komentar halaman penggemar metro tv di facebook terdapat  berbagai jenis praanggapan yakni praanggapan eksistensial yang menyatakan keberadaan, praanggapan faktual, praanggapan leksikal dengan makna yang tersirat, praanggapan struktural menggunakan kata tanya ?apa?, ?siapa?, dan ?mengapa?, praanggapan non-faktif dengan menggunakan kata kerja ?membayangkan?, dan praanggapan kontrafaktual yang bertolak belakang dari apa yang dikatakan.      Kata kunci : Praanggapan, komentar halaman facebook, dan jenis praanggapan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   In English, there are two subclasses of verb, they are lexical verbs and auxiliary verbs. Auxiliary verb is a helping verb which grammatically functions to form or to add meaning of the verb phrase. This study is an attempt to describe and analyze the auxiliary verbs which are found in the Album of Maroon 5 Overexposed and V. The aim of this research is to classify and identify the form, meaning and function of auxiliary verb used in the film. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data of auxiliary verbs have been taken from the sentences in the album of Maroon 5 Overexposed and V and analyzed by using Hudson?s concept. The results of this study show that the auxiliary verbs found in the two album of Maroon 5 are categorized into two classes: primary auxiliary verb (am, is, are, were, was) and modal auxiliary verbs (can, could, may, might, will, would, should) however must, shall, be to, used to, need, be supposed to and dare are not found in these album. In terms of the meaning, the primary auxiliary verbs have no meaning in themselves, but the modal it means auxiliary verbs have their own meaning depending on the context. Can means ability and with negative it means inability. Could means ability and with negative it means inability. May means possibility. Will means willingness, representation of some situation, promise and agreement. Would means willingness. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research entitled “Compliment Utterances in The Film Me Before You by Jojo Moyes : Pragmatic Analysis”. The aims of this research is to identify, classify and analyze the compliment utterances and their function in Me Before You film. This research used a descriptive method. The data were collected from conversation among characters, then they classified and analyzed they are according to the concept of Holmes (1986).The result shows five types of compliment utterances and their function applied by the characters in their dialogues. First, ability consists of 7 compliment utterances based on compliment abilities that function to express solidarity and admiration for abilities that are real. Second, possession consist of 10 compliment utterances based on compliments of possession that serves to express an admiration for human property that is real deserves compliment or appreciation. Third, physical appearance consist of 8 compliment utterances the function of expressing a sense of attraction will fascinate the physical appearance who intends to give real compliment without the desire to mock that can establish a smooth and positive communication relationship. Fourth, personality consist of 22 compliment utterances based on personality compliment that serves to express a sense of solidarity, admiration, appreciation of the behaviour, character, or nature of someone who can build one's self-confidence. Fifth, quality consist of 3 compliment utterances based serves to express a sense of appreciation for someone good and bad qualities. This compliment phrase also serves to appreciate the actions or qualities produced by someone who can build one's enthusiasm. Abstract

This skripsi is entitled “Realita Kehidupan yang Tercermin lewat Latar dalam Drama Riders to the Sea Karya Synge” The objective of this research is to analyze the play in terms of setting using intrinsic and extrinsic approaches. This research is based on Aristotle theory “mimetic theory”, and Walek and Warren’s theory on literature and society. Literature and society are two parts that cannot be separated, both of them have connection with each other. Many of literary works including plays were born from society, so we can see that society has its own part to contribute to literature. In some of literary works we can see the story imitated from the real world. Riders to the Sea is one of the plays which was based on the reality. The playwright John Milington Synge, wrote this play where he visited the Aran islands. In Aran islands he heard a tragedy that happened to one of families there. By that experience, he decided to write play describing the fact that he heard. Based on the analyzing of the setting, this research concludes that there are 5 elements of setting that reflect the social reality of Irish people especially people on Aran  islands. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian “ Skripsi “ ini Mengacu pada Sejarah Tempat Pelelangan Ikan ( TPI) di Tumumpa Kota Manado Tahun 1992-2016. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lebih jauh tentang bagaimana asal – usul berdirinya Tempat Pelelangan Ikan ( TPI ) di Tumumpa Kota Manado Tahun 1992 – 2016. Dalam penulisan ini penulis menggunakan metode sejarah yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu : Heuristik, Kritik analisa, Interprestasi, dan yang terakhir Historiografi. Metode sejarah ini sangat membantu penulis untuk dapat memperoleh data. Kemudian diklasifikasikan data yang mendukung permasalahan diolah dengan penafsiran menggunakan fakta-fakta sejarah, kemudian dilakukan penulisan sesuai permasalahan yang telah dirumuskan dan tujuan yang akan dicapai sehingga terwujudlah skripsi ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada faktor-faktor yang mendukung terjadinya Tempat Pelelangan Ikan di Tumumpa di sebabkan karena Tempat Pelelangan Ikan di Kali Jengki sudah tidak memadai lagi sehingga dialihkan di Tumumpa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Semiotics is a study about signs. A Sign is something that can be found in some different forms such as verbal or nonverbal, written or unwritten. They can be anything that convey meaning such as words on papers, pictures, drawings, and gestures or codes. In this research, the writer takes the gestures codes used by diving activity as the object of research.Codes also can be found in gestures for example in diving activity. In this category, codes are used in diving activity for communication. The problems in this research, what are the forms of codes used by Manado’s diver in diving activity, and what are the meaning of codes in diving activity. The purpose of the research is to identify, analyze, and classification the codes in diving activity. The data about codes are collected by getting some information from informants, and the data pictures of international and local codes were collected at dive spot at Malalayang II seashore.All the collected data are analyzed based on Peirce theory of signs and codes, and the analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that there are 17 codes international, and also 9 local codes In Manado that usually using by local divers in Manado. The form of International codes there are 5 classification of codes, direction codes, sea species codes, safety codes, secure problem codes, and attention codes. The form of local codes there are 4 classification of codes, sea species codes, safety codes, secure codes and attention codes. and the meanings of codes are, how to show to buddy about the condition when the diver look, give a clue, or feel something inside water and codes are the way the diver give information with fellow while diving activity.   Keywords: Diving Codes, Descriptive Analysis, Semiotics.

Abstract

ABSTRACT All regions in Indonesia have a diversity of traditions that enrich the culture. It is also found in the sub-ethnic groups in the district Bolango Bolaang South Mongondow. One is a dangisa dance which is kind of a war dance. The poem of dangisa dance contains the cultural values ​​implicit in expressions. But the lack of public will culturally meaningful expressions in poetry led to cultural values ​​contained in it is no longer applied in social life. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify and explain those phrases and then find cultural meaning contained in the poem dangisa dance. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method. To gather data, researchers conducted a study of the documents, and observations and interviews using interview techniques recommended Spradley (1997). The observations are then translated into engineering Etnography of Speaking by Hymes (1974). Identify and describe forms of lingual units, data were analyzed using linguistic theory proposed by Chaer (2007) and Djajasudarma (2009). Then, to find the meaning behind the cultural expressions that are used in poetry linguistic anthropological theory proposed by Foley (1997). The results showed that in poetry there dangisa dance-language expressions in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences have meaning and significance in the form of broad, cognitive meaning, connotative meaning, idiomatic meaning, and emotive meaning. Cultural meaning in poetry is classified into 5 meaningful cultural expression. From the results of the research and the discussion concluded that the poem dance dangisa are speaking Bolango meaningful cultural expressions containing noble values. Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam bahasa Jepang, tidak hanya hal tata bahasanya saja, tetapi pembagian ragam bahasa laki-laki dan perempuan merupakan suatu keunikan bahasa Jepang. Bagi Pembelajar bahasa Jepang dari  Indonesia,  ini merupakan hal yang sulit, dikarenakan dalam bahasa Indonesia tidak ada pembagian bahasa laki-laki dan perempuan. Selanjutnya, penelitian tentang bahasa perempuan sudah banyak dilakukan, tetapi penelitian penggunaan bahasa perempuan dalam, novel, film anime dan lainnya masih sangat sedikit. Untuk itulah dalam makalah ini penulis bermaksud meneliti tentang bagaimana pemakaian ragam bahasa perempuan dalam anime yang berjudul {Kimi no Na wa} karya Makoto Shinnkai. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu, dengan cara mengumpulkan contoh kalimat yang terdapat dalam Anime yang berjudul [kimi no na ha] karya Makoto Shinkai, selanjutnya dianalisis berdasarkan teori dari para pakar  linguistik Jepang. Terakhir, dalam penulisan laporan menggunakan teori deskriptif analisis. Hasil analisis, ditemukan, pertama, dari sudut pandang sejarah, bahwa, ragam bahasa perempuan sudahada sejak jaman Heian. Hal itu dapat dimengerti dalam tulisan  {Makura Soshi} karya Sesho Nagon. Selanjutnya, ragam bahasa perempuan berubah seiring perubahan jaman. Kemudian dalam anime kimi no na ha, ragam bahasa perempuan terbagi  dua kelas, yaitu kelas kalangan atas(bangsawan), dan kalangan bawah. Selanjunya pemakaian bahasa perempuan dalam anime {kimi no na ha} ditemukan bahwa karakteristik pemakaiannya hanya dalam penggunaan pada akhir suatu kalimat, kata ganti orang pertama, kedua, interjeksi, dan dalam pola bentuk merendahkan. Terakhir, karena latar tempat yaitu distrik Gifu, sehingga dialek yang digunakan dipengaruhi oleh dialek Jepang timur dan Jepang bagian barat. Hal tersebut dapat dipahami dalam contoh-contoh kalimat yang sering menggunakan [ya, yaa]. Akhirnya, penulis berharap semoga makalah ini sedikitnya, dapat bermanfaat bagi pendikan bahasa Jepang .

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research entitled ‘‘Preposition in Drama Away by Michael Gow’’ is written to analyze and classify the form and the meaning of the preposition that are use in drama. A preposition is a word that connects a noun or pronoun with a verb, adjective, or another noun or pronoun by indicating a relationship between the things for which they stand. In analyzing the data, the writer used Quirk Randolph and Harman’s theory, and the data were taken from the Drama Away by Michael Gow. The problems of this research are focused on what are the from and the meaning of preposition. The forms are simple preposition and complex preposition. The meanings of preposition refer to the apposition, cause or reason, comparison, concession, condition, degree, description, direction, design, instrument, manner, material, means, measure, objective genitive, partition, place, purpose, quality, respect, source, time, and value.   Key words: English Preposition, Forms and Meaning, Drama Away by Michael Gow

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research, entitled “Error Analysis of English in Status and Chatting in the  Social Media BBM”, is an attempt to identify, classify, analize and describe the kinds of errors in the use of Social Media BBM. This research gives contribution in terms of understanding the error analysis especially the errors of the BBM users in chatting and status. Ellis’s theory is used to analyze the errors in the Social Media BBM. The result of this research shows that there are 16 kinds of errors made by BBM users, they are omission of  the subject, omission of  verb (to be),  omission of the ending for plural nouns, omission of a preposition, omission of auxialiary verb (to be, to do and to have) and omission of an article. Errors of misinformation are misinformation of singular nouns, misinformation of plural nouns, misinformation of subject, misinformation of object, misinformation of preposition, misinformation of verb and misinformation of word spelling. Errors of misordering are misordering of object, misordering of adverb of  place and misordering of adverb of time. Keywords: error analysis, Status and Chatting Social Media BBM
