Abstract

This study aims to find out how the student's chemistry learning outcomes on the periodic properties of elements in two grade X Mathematics and Natural Sciences at SMA Negeri 02 Mukomuko with the media card game Truth and Dare. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental study with a population of class X MIPA at SMAN 2 Mukomuko and the sample is class X MIPA 2 and class X MIPA 3. The sample in this study is class X Mathematics and Natural Sciences 3 as a control with conventional learning and class X Mathematics 2 as a control. experiment using truth and dare media. Analysis of the data used is the average value of posttest, normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. Data on student learning outcomes were obtained from the pretest and posttest scores with an average of 39.36 and 47.74 for the control class while the experimental class was 26.67 and 68. Then a t-test was carried out with a significant level (? = 0.05), then the value of t-count is 3.290 and t-table is 1.7084. The results showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between classes that used Truth and Dare card media and classes that did not use Truth and Dare card media.

Abstract

Litseaodoriferaval.(MedangPerawas) is well recognized in Muko-Mukoregency, Bengkulu Province and used as construction material. In Serawai and Lembak Ethnic groups, it is traditionally used as medication for mouth sprue, stomachache, and boil as well as used for inducing lactation. This research aims to extract secondary metabolite compound group contained in Litseraodorifera val. leaf and to examine its antioxidant activity potency against 1,1-diphenyl 2-picrylhidrazyl (DPPH). A Fresh leaves from Litseraodorifera val. collected from Tahura Forest, Central Bengkulu area were separated into two parts: one run into chemical screeningand the second was used for extraction experiment using ethanol, ethyl acetate, hexane and acetone. Secondary metabolite compound groups contained in those extracts were tested for antioxidantactivity potency. The results showed that the extract of Litseraodorifera val. leaf contained compound group of flavonoid, saponin, tannin, phenolicand terpenoid. The extract of Litseraodorifera val. Leafincrude extract, ethyl acetate, acetone, ethanol and hexane can reduce free radical of  DPPH with IC50 of 250.7; 66.7; 69.7; 100.3 and 181.9 ppm respectively. Those are higher compared to vitamin C whose IC50 was 28.3 ppm. The extract of Litseraodorifera val. leaf haspotency as antioxidant activity that can be developed through further research.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of LKPM based on solid lipid research of trimiristin nanoparticles resulting from nutmeg seed insulation as a guide sheet of organic chemical practicum II in lipid matter. This research uses 4-D methods, consisting of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, in this study the researchers only performed until the third stage which is the development stage (develope). This research data is obtained from the results of material and media expert validation questionnaires, product practicality questionnaires as well as pretest and posttest results tested to fourth semester students who participated in organic chemistry course II.LKPM based on Research Solid Lipid Nanoparticle (SLN) Trimiristin resulting from Nutmeg Seed Isolation that has been developed obtained a value of 83.75% on media validation and obtained a value of 87.3% on material validation, which means it is in the category of highly feasible. While the practicality percentage result of 88.36 % on the small-scale test, which goes into the category strongly agrees, The average result that means students strongly agree that the products that have been developed are very practical to use. The average value of N-Gain Small Scale Test Score is 0.43, meaning it can be concluded that The Student Practicum Worksheet (LKPM) based on Solid Lipid Nanoparticle (SLN) trimiristin research resulting from Nutmeg Seed Isolation (Myristica fragrans) has moderate effectiveness value.

Abstract

The production and use of a membrane filter made from bagasse (Saccharum officinarum) to filter ground water and peat water had been conducted. The purpose of this research are to evaluate the yield of membrane filter produced from bagasse, assess its ability to filter ground water and peat water as well as to measure the physical and chemical properties covering pH, turbidity and iron concentration, of those waters after filtered out with the membrane filter. Bagasse was used as a raw material for producing membrane filter through pulping process, followed by vulcanized fiber method using ZnCl2. From 100 g of bagasse, 38.7% membrane filter was produced. The membrane filter could increase ground water and peat water quality by increasing ground water and peat water pH from 6.7 to 7.2 and from 6.1 to 7.4 respectively. It also reduced ground and peat water turbidity from 48.33 to 1.67 NTU (96%) and from 65 to 2.67 NTU (96%) respectively. Iron concentration declined from 4.67 to 0.056 mg/L (for ground water) and from 3.645 to 0.121 mg/L (for peat water) respectively. Membrane filter produced from bagasse could improve ground and peat water quality after filtered out, whose physical and chemical properties met the quality standard of water according to Health Ministry Regulation of Republic of Indonesia No.492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study that aims to find out misconceptions that occur in class X science students of SMAN 03 Bengkulu City on Stoichiometry material. The data obtained in this study were collected by means of a written test on an instrument that has been tested for validity, , reliability, difficulty index, and discriminatory power. The results of the analysis of the percentage of misconceptions that occur in the stoichiomeric material at SMAN 3 Bengkulu City are in the range of 0%-2,2%. Based on the literature, misconceptions with this number range are in the category of moderate misconceptions. The misconception with the smallest percentage value is in item number 2 with a percentage of 0,1%, namely in the sub-topic of Atomic Mass. The misconception with the most significant percentage figures occurs in questions number 9 and 10 or in the sub-chapter interconversion of moles and chemical calculations, which is 2,2%. Factors that cause misconceptions consist of internal factors caused by the students themselves, and external factors that cause environmental factors. These factors are wrong preconceptions or initial concepts, learning methods, student abilities, lack of interest and motivation to learn, wrong intuition, and inadequate books.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and students' responses to an e-module based on creative thinking skills using flip pdfprofessionalprogram on colloidal material. This research was a research and development (research and development) that adapts from the Borg & Gall model which is limited to the seventh stage, namely product revision. The sample in this study were students of class XI MIPA 1 SMA N 4 Singaran Pati,Bengkulu City with a total sample of 33 people. The sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were obtained from interviews, material and media validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The results of the validation test of e-module materials and media obtained values of 4.25 and 4.60 which are included in the "very valid" category because they are in the range of values of 4,2< 5. The results of the e-module student response test at school was 4.35 which is included in the "very interesting" category because it is in the value range of 4,2< 5. So it can be concluded that the e-module based on creative thinking on colloidal material developed is feasible to be used in the learning process.
