Abstract

The study of purple sweet potato leaf extract as an antioxidant to slow down rancidity in coconut oil has been conducted. The aim of this study was to prove the addition of purple sweet potato leaf extract to postpone the rancidity of coconut oil. The sample used in this study was coconut oil taken from the village of Tingkeum Lampeuneurut, Aceh Besar District, as much as 300 mL. The sample was divided into two Erlenmeyers with 150 ml in each and heated to 90°C of temperature. After that, the first Erlenmeyer was added by 30 ml of purple sweet potato leaf extract. Then, the second Erlenmeyer was chilled and left in open air for 5 days. The sample that was not added by purple sweet potato leaf extract was set as a control. Several parameters were tested in both samples, namely an iodine number, peroxide number, free fatty acid and saponification number. The results were obtained by the addition of purple sweet potato leaf extract and control oil respectively the iodine number 10.21 and 7.54 g I2/100 g samples, peroxide numbers 4.67 and 9.33 mg O2/g, free fatty acids 8.87 and 8.67%, acid numbers 24.2 and 23.5 mg KOH/g, saponification 230.49 and 234.09 mg KOH/g, esters 206.29 and 210.59 mg KOH/g. The peroxide number of oilwhich was added by the purple sweet potato leaf extract has been fulfilled the SNI for coconut oil while the control oil does not. Meanwhile the iodine numbers, acid numbers, saponification numbers, and free fatty acids in both oils do not fulfill the SNI. Based on this study was obtained that the purple sweet potato leaf extract can postpone the rancidity caused by oxidation by reducing the peroxide number. However, the purple sweet potato leaf extract was not able to inhibit the increasing of acid numbers or free fatty acids caused by hydrolysis reactions.

Abstract

The results of recapitulation of UN scores students on static fluid material from 2014-2016 have fluctuated every year. Many factors affect these conditions, one of which is the use of learning methods that are more memorized and low motivation to learn students. Mastery learning approach to learning with remedial group patterns allows can change the mindset of students and can improve learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the mastery learning approach with remedial group patterns on student learning outcomes. The method used in this research is quasi experiment research, which involves 4 (four) classes with remedial patterns per class. Data collection is done by using multiple-choice test questions. The test result data were analyzed using the one way ANOVA test formula. The results of the statistical test show that Fcount> Ftable is 2.90> 2.72 for a significant level of 95% and α = 0.05. The results showed that Ha hypothesis was accepted. The conclusion that there is an effect of the mastery learning approach with the remedial group pattern on learning outcomes, this can be seen from an increase in the class with the incomplete remedial pattern of selective friends (TTT-PT), compared with other classes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, afektif siswa, psikomotor siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta analisis dan refleksi. Pada aktivitas guru, perbedaan nilai terlihat pada kelas C dengan persentase 76,28% (sangat baik) di siklus pertama menjadi 92,55% (luar biasa) di siklus kedua. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada aspek afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotor siswa. Skor profil dari hasil belajar pada ketiga kelas mencapai skor ketuntasan pada siklus 2, meskipun pada siklus 1 kelas A telah mencapai ketuntasan dengan kelulusan mencapai 85,71%. Selanjutnya, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing ini dapat meningkatkan afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotor siswa. Oleh sebab itu, hasil belajar siswa pada materi sifat koligatif larutan telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiri learning model on the quantity and unit materials to improve the KGS and student learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental type / model with pretest-posttest group design using the control class. Research samples were given treatment through the model in the experimental class. The data collection activities were conducted by comparing the final test results between the experimental and control classes for KGS mathematical modeling and student learning outcomes. Data processing is done by t-test for different test. This research was conducted on Chemistry Education Program FITK UIN Ar-Raniry. The results showed that there are differences in the ability of students 'mathematical model and students' learning outcomes with guided inquiry learning model. The mean value of KGS model of experimental mathematics class is 75,20 higher than control class that is 65,53. For the value of learning result obtained experimental class equal to 73,67, higher than control class equal to 67,72. Result of t-test result of learning result known from result t arithmetic = 1,70 with dk = 64 and t table 1.67, where t count> ttabel that is 1.70> 1.67. This shows that the Ho hypothesis is rejected and Ha accepted. So that learning with guided inquiry model has an effect on the ability of KGS mathematical modeling and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Experiments/practical activities in science learning are important, but it cannot be denied that there are limitations in infrastructure facilities in the implementation of the practicum. To overcome this, one solution is to empower natural laboratories. Natural laboratories, namely the whole world around us, both original and man-made, are often overlooked for practical activities. In addition, students will be very interested if science lesson observations make use of the natural rides around. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes and responses of students with the use of natural laboratories as student learning facilities in MIN Sabang. The research design used was pre-experiment with a population of all IV classes of MIN Sabang, while for the sample in this study were IV1 students 22 students are also called Total Sampling. Data collection techniques in this study were tests and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the study obtained student learning outcomes can be increased from the pre-test value of 31.82 to 76.14 post-test values. The results of hypothesis testing with t-test statistics were obtained by t count t table or 18.62-1.72 so that Ha was accepted, student learning response data had an increase of 89.9% which was very good criteria. Then it can be concluded that the use of natural laboratories can improve learning outcomes and responses in material changes in the form of objects in MIN Sabang.

Abstract

The need for salt at this time is very high, especially in the food sector, so analytes that are declared very good for health must meet the requirements of the KIO3 compound (potassium iodate), SNI requirements are 30-80 ppm. The purpose of this study was to compare the levels of potassium iodate in term salt with two processes, namely cooking and natural drying. The sample used comes from the term salt produced in Matang Glumpang Dua. The method used in this research is iodometry. The results showed that the average levels of potassium iodate in cooked salt amounted to 32.13 mg/kg and dried salt content amounted to 50.32 mg/kg, with a ratio of levels of 18.19 mg/kg. From the results of the analysis of the two salts meet the requirements specified by SNI 01-3556-2010.

Abstract

Mathematical analytics Important, analytical skills When students are able to understand analysis in physics learning, students will be able to answer questions with questions that are different from the examples given by the teacher. The aim of studying the increased thinking of participants in cognitive taxonomy analysis in Newton's law materials was approved using problem solving learning models. Hypothesis testing is done by comparing the average value of the ability of the initial test (pre-test) and the average ability of the final test (post-test) of students. The process of testing the hypothesis will test the normality and homogeneity test as a requirement to use parametric statistics, namely by using the t-test. Based on the results of the study obtained a value of tcount (8.25) and ttable value at dk = 42 with a 95% confidence level obtained at 2.02. This shows that tcount> t table. So can it be concluded that the expansion of students' thinking analysis ideas on cognitive taxonomy in the legal material used uses problem solving learning models.

Abstract

Research on the application of the ICARE learning model to the redox reaction material in class X was done. The purpose of the study was to determine the activities and responses of students to the ICARE model. This study uses a quantitative approach. This type of research was a quasi-experiment. The research subjects were 25 students of class X MIA 1. The instruments used in the study were the students' activity observation sheets and questionnaire responses sheets. The results of observations of the activities of experimental class students at the first meeting were 83.65% and 92.19% at the second meeting. Students' responses to the application of the ICARE  model on the redox reaction material were said to be very amenable to the percentage of 85.20%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the ICARE model can increase activities and respond very well by students in the learning process so that this model can be used in the learning process on redox reaction materials.

Abstract

This research aims to produce large amounts of lipase and have high activity so that it can be utilized in the food industry. Method of Research used a thermostable enzyme derived from compost AL96 microorganisms. Qualitative tests are carried out using Thermus media. Extracellular lipase enzyme expressed by AL96 culture at 700C for 17 hours was isolated as much as 1000 mL and the crude extract obtained was deposited by fractionation of ammonium sulfate. After obtaining a fraction of 0-30%; 30 -50% fraction; 50-70% fraction; and 7-90% fraction was then tested for lipase enzyme activity using spectrophotometric techniques and testing of protein content determined by the Bradford method. Results Of research obtaining partial purification using ammonium sulfate into crude enzyme extract from AL96 isolate with a fraction of 50-70% resulted in the highest specific activity of protein 0.018 U / mg. Further analysis of lipase in the 30-50% fraction has the optimum temperature at 65 0C and the fraction of 50-70% has the optimum temperature at 75 0C. Characterization of the optimum pH for 50-70% fraction and 30-50% fraction showed that both fractions had optimum pH 10.

Abstract

This Research to analyze the abilityof students through the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning model has been carried out at MTsN Sabang. The research design used was a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of a One-Shot Case Study. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTsN Sabang consisting of 4 classes with class VII3 samples collected by 25 students. The research sample was selected by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a written test of 10-question questions. Data were analyzed using a formula that was calculated based on scores obtained from essay tests. The results showed the victory over the assessment of critical indicators obtained a simple assessment of getting a percentage of 76%, indicators of building skills gained 64.8%, indicators were obtained obtaining a percentage of  71.8%, indicators giving explanations received obtaining a percentage of 70.6%, and 71% of strategies. Critical learning about students in the ecosystem material through the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning model in MTsN Sabang is in the high category.
