Abstract

The existing data shows that the average number of the graduates of SMK Negeri in Semarang City who continued their study to universities was as many as 16.5%. It shows that the graduates' interest in continuing study to universities has not achieved the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) of SMK which states that among 20% of SMK graduates should continue their study to accredited universities. By this finding, this study was aimed at knowing the influence of the socio-economic background and students' self-potential towards the interest of continuing study to universities in the Eleventh graders of SMK Negeri in Semarang City either simultaneously or partially.The population in this study were the Eleventh graders of SMK Negeri in Semarang City, namely 5,067 students. They were sampled into 100 students by using Slovin formulae. Moreover, the sample was divided through proportional cluster sampling, while their data were collected by using questionnaire and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there was a simultaneous influence ofsocio-economic background and self-potential towards the interest in continuing study to universities showed by the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and Adjusted R Square of 0.407 (40.7%). Partially, the influence of socio-economic background contributed to the significance value of 0.025< 0.05 and r square as many as 0.226 (22.6%), self-potential influenced the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and r square of 0.509 (50.9%) towards the interest in continuing study to universities. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v10i12017p052

Abstract

Cooperative learning model Think Pair and Share (TPS) is a cooperativelearning technique that requires students to think, respond to, and worktogether to achieve the learning objectives. The results of student learning isthe value achieved by students cognitively of the material on the Market andMarket Price Formation in Economy measured through test questionsprovided by the teacher is the matter of granting pre-activity and postactivitycycle I and II to measure cognitive domains. The approach in thisstudy used a qualitative approach, type of research is a class act. This studywas conducted two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. Subjectsused were students of class X IPS 2 MAN 3 Malang. The instrument used inthis study is a matter of testing, observation checklist, field notes,documentation, and questionnaire. The results showed that by applying thelearning Think Pair and Share (TPS) can improve learning outcomes asindicated by the value of post-activity of students in cycle 1 students whopass as many as 21 students or equal to 70% with an average grade of 81.5.In the second cycle students who pass as many as 30 students or in otherwords the whole class X IPS 2 MAN 3 Malang completed. Abstract

Inferential statistics require students to understand and be skilled in the advanced application of descriptive statistics in the parametric and non parametric drawings required by students to achieve competence in the formulation of models, the selection of analytical techniques and conclusions as well as the interpretation of the sample statistical test results within the scope of the development economy. The problems faced are the limited knowledge of students both in the level of concept and the direct implementation of statistical materials. Another problem found in the learning process is the lack of understanding of students both individually and in groups towards the use of statistical tools to suit the needs of the analysis. The objectives of this research are (1) to know the implementation of life skill approach based on lesson study, (2) to know the increase of positive character of student of inferential statistic through life skill approach based on Lesson Study. This research uses type of action research based on lesson study with qualitative descriptive approach. The research procedure is carried out for two cycles. Each cycle is carried out on a single subject to know the results that have been achieved by the research subject as a basis for improvement in the next cycle. Each cycle consists of three stages: plan, do, see. Abstract

This study departs from the problem of the number of students who havedelayed graduation because they cannot complete the thesis on time. Forthat, it is necessary to do research to determine the cause of thesis by thestudents. The type of research conducted is qualitative descriptive, with thelocation of research in Economic Development Department Faculty ofEconomics, State University of Malang. Technical data is done through.Data analysis is done in data processing, presentation, and data verification.The result of research indicates the existence of internal factor causingdelays of completion of thesis of health factor, weakness of motivation,interest, level of intelligence (IQ, SQ, AQ, and EQ), difficulty indetermining research topic, accuracy in collecting data and analyzingresearch data, Scientific papers, work, active organization, and low ability ofstudents in time management. Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to describe the influence ofeconomic study result, family environment and colleague on efficiency toconsume student class X Social Science Senior High School 1 Tumpangduring 2015/2016 learning period. The research metodology used isquantitative descriptive with exsplanation format. The instrument used in thisresearch was tests and questionnaires. The number of respondents are 95students. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21 For Windows.Based on theanalysis of data obtained the following results : (1) there is influence betweeneconomic study result (X1) with efficiency to consume (Y) about 2,76%. (2)there is influence between family environment (X2) with efficiency to consume(Y) about 26,6643%. Abstract

Cognitive ability is a behavior that emphasizes the intellectual aspects, aswell as the knowledge, understanding, and the thinking of students inlearning. To measure the cognitive abilities of students using text reading,the study raced on Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The purpose of this studywas to determine the level of students' cognitive abilities as measured bytests such as reading texts give the economy and about the description.This research uses a qualitative approach research with descriptivephenomenology. The subjects were students of class XI IPSK3 SMAN 10Malang totaling 29 students. Data collection techniques used in this studyinclude observation, testing, documentation and assessment rubrics.Meanwhile, data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, andconclusion. Based on the survey results revealed that out of 29 studentswho take cognitive tests found 29 students who were able to reach a stageof cognitive ability at level C1, C2, and C3. Of the 29 students who takecognitive tests were seven students were able to achieve levels of C4 areanalyzed, four students on the test 1 that the reading "of the economy inIndonesia is not inferior to other States" and three students on test 2 on thereading "of fuel in one direction". It also happens to students who aredifferent. Of the 29 students who take cognitive tests there are studentswho are able reach stage is to evaluate the C5 and C6 are creating. Abstract

Facing growing competition in the age of education right now, all partiesneed to equate the thinking and attitudes to promote improved qualityeducation. then as the author of I want to know how far the level ofprofessionalism of teachers in study refers to Permendiknas the year of 2007that already assigned. The author would like to know how the professional inlearning ranging from planning, implementation, and evaluation. Here theauthor took rumusah problems about the application of professional teachersin the planning, implementation and evaluation and then coupled with asupporting factor and the factor restricting teachers become professional.From the results that have been obtained through observation anddocumentation indicate that economics teacher at SMAN 1 Sooko still not besaid because of the four professional competence set forth in thisGovernment Department, second economics teacher This is not yet able tomeet all of them, like the relationship with a less harmonious society, andalso the relationship of fellow teachers who have not undertaken smoothly,then the results of the second study video recording the teacher hadn't meetthe hours of lessons on the set, and also still using learning methodsaccording to the learners tend to be boring, thus there are 6 factors thatsupport the success ofachieving professional teacher SMAN 1 Sooko i.e.factor the presence of expertise each teacher, community support, a factor ofdukngan colleagues as teachers, government intervention, the demands ofthe teachers ' code of ethics, and the last factor is the scrutiny of theDepartment of education. In addition there is a supporting factor there isdefinitely a factor that inhibits a teacher could become a professionalatSMAN 1 Sooko Mojokerto, factors such a barrier is the lack of fulfillmentof the hour lesson, there is a lack of social interaction, the relationship is notgood against fellow teachers, and also the use of inappropriate methods oflearning in students. Abstract

Saving interest of students is student’s interest to save their moneyin the financial institution with certain goal. Saving interest of studentsaffected by two factors, internal and external factors. Economic knowledgelevel and school mini bank utilization. Economic knowledge level teachesthe students to be smart in managing their finances, determining priorityscale in fulfilling their needs. One factor that affects education is by schoolmini bank utilization optimally where the students can habituatethemselves to deliver their saving interest, then the habits will bedeveloped and be student’s character. This research used quantitativeresearch design and explanation research type. Population in this researchwas students in the 11th Grade of Social Science SMA Negeri 2 Malangacademic year 2016/2017 for 138 students. Sample in this research wasdetermined based on Slovin formula using proportional random samplingtechnique, then it was obtained 102 respondents. This research aims toknow: (1) the effect of economic knowledge level to the saving interest ofstudents in the 11th Grade of Social Science SMA Negeri 2 Malang; (2)the effect of school mini bank utilization to the saving interest of studentsin the 11th Grade of Social Science SMA Negeri 2 Malang; and (3) theeffect of economic knowledge level and school mini bank utilization to thesaving interest of students in the 11th Grade of Social Science SMA Negeri2 Malang. DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17977/UM014v10i12017p001
