Abstract

The skill to arrange sentences in language is very much determined by how the speaker or writer uses the language grammatically correctly, that is, prioritizing coherence and coherence. In this ability, the writer or speaker must be able to develop sentence 1 to the next sentence by putting forward a continuous flow and can understand the message of what was written. In Discourse Analysis there is the term Theme which is something that is discussed, the point of departure for clauses as messages and Rheme is part of clauses and other grammatical structures. In a text or paragraph the development of the first sentence occurs to the next sentence with a different arrangement of themes and rhemes but still prioritizes coherence and coherence. This development process is called the Thematic Progression Pattern. The researcher analyzes the forms of the Thematic Progression Pattern in two articles in the Madura Radar print media and describes how they are analyzed. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the authors of the two articles use themes and interpersonal themes to develop sentences into paragraphs. In the development of sentence 1 into new sentences that coherently form a split theme on the theme progression.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the analysis of metaphor in the report text hoax in social media. The need of information is increasing, making the media increasingly developed into various forms and functions that enable people to meet their needs. For example, television and radio, which categorized as in electronic media. Newspapers, magazines, and tabloids in the category of print media, and online media in which there are the internet and social media. Meanwhile, in the online world, the more popular and have increased with news websites managed by the residents, and show news made by citizens, not by professional journalists. Internet access is widespread and increasingly inexpensive, allowing every citizen to participate in jurnalistic world, not only as a consumer of news, but also as newsmakers, including through the creation of personal web-blog. The problem in this research is the analysis of metaphors in hoax news in social media. Research using qualitative descriptive study. Sources of data in this study is hoax news text in which there are words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. From the results of analysis are structural metaphor, metaphor orientasional and ontological metaphors.

Abstract

This research is for study aims to test the problem-based learning model to improve the ability to write exposition and critical thinking skills. This research was conducted to find out the right model of learning to improve the ability to write expository text and critical thinking ability. The research method used in this research is quasi-experiment research method. The design of this research is quasi-experimental design. Based on the research findings it can be concluded that learning to write exposition text is considered difficult learning. In addition, students' interest in this text is low because writing expository texts is considered unpleasant. The structure and rules of exposition texts in this study include six aspects, namely (1) the title produced reflects the exposition text; (2) completeness of the text structure (thesis, argumentation, and reaffirmation); (3) the development of ideas is inductive and/or deductive; (4) the accuracy of the use of linguistic principles; (5) the presentation of arguments coherently in accordance with the theme; (6) conclusions in accordance with the arguments presented. After being treated in the form of application of problem-based learning model in the experimental class, learners have improved the ability to write expository texts and critical thinking skills when compared with control classes that are given learning in advance.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to yield the social relation of Madura society in the anthology of short story Karapan Laut by Mahwi Air Tawar, covering (1) social relation of bhâlâ (companion), and (2) social relation of moso (opponent). Base on the purpose can be concluded the followings: (1) bhâlâ divided to become two, bhâlâ mata (only in vision) and bhâlâ atè (really companion), and (2) moso also divided two, moso dâlâm (relative) and moso lowar (others), besides, moso can be divided again become moso mata (visible) and moso atè (unvisible), also there is moso salaje (unilateral) and moso dukalaje (bilateral).

Stylistics knowledge are shape knowledge objective, because observation from target knowledge and explanation. Stylistics knowledge are knowledge which focus on shape utilizing signal system in literature creation who got by rational empirical who able to responsibility. The base of empirical are refer to appropriate base of conceptual with way work who use if connected with characteristic fact who become target knowledge. Abstract

Literary works are perceived through elements of form and content. In addition, the comparative element also deepens the understanding of literary works. This is so applied to the novel Ciuman di Bawah Hujan (kiss under rainfall) by Lan Fang. This work is discussed through three main issues: structural elements, content elements, and comparative elements. With descriptive approach, data collection is done by documentation method and technique of text study through structuralism, semiotics, and comparative study. The analysis was done by descriptive method, structural-base method and content analysis technique. Based on the discussion, this novel presents an interesting structure by presenting the story in the story. The plot of this model is similar to a cerita berbingkai (framed story). In the novel sense the meaning of this novel is interesting to bring the figure and its relation to the title of rain. From this aspect of the novel comparison, it shows that ethnocentrism in various cultures in Indonesia is still quite relevant.

Abstract

Deixis adalah kata-kata yang acuannya selalu berubah tergantung pada konteksnya. Pembahasan deiksis memiliki arti pragmatik karena deixis merupakan bagian dari pragmatik. Deixis adalah satu-satunya cara yang jelas di mana hubungan antara bahasa dan konteks tercermin dalam struktur bahasa itu sendiri. Deiksis terdiri dari lima macam, yaitu deixis orang, deixis spasial, deixis temporal, deixis wacana dan deixis sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk deixis yang muncul dalam proses interaksi pembelajaran di STKIP PGRI Bangkalan. Data-data tersebut adalah ujaran-ujaran yang diucapkan di kampus dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif ditemukan bahwa dalam komunikasi lisan dapat dinyatakan bahwa menggunakan beberapa jenis deixis dalam berbahasa.

Abstract

This research aims (1) to describe the publishing of local literary work of Bangkalan from the 1960s till now and (2) to describe background and factors of publishing local literary work of Bangkalan from the 1960s till now. Methods of collecting data in this research are document study and interview. Document study was used to collect data for (1) and interview for (2). Analysis results that local literary work of Bangkalan, though written since the 1960s, was published firstly by 1998. It was one of some agenda in Temu Sastrawan Jawa dan Bali held by Lingkar Sastra Junok (Junok Literary Circle). The factors behind the publishing of literary work in Bangkalan including three things: first, publishing as part of the art (literary) event, second, publishing for (self)-conservation and third, publishing for a competition event.

Abstract

Oka Rusmini is one of the Indonesian women writers from Bali. His figure and works are phenomenal and often controversial because they raise a number of issues of old-fashioned Balinese customs and traditions that are detrimental to women, especially in the griya environment, home of the Brahmins. This study aims to describe the form and meaning of myths about women in 'Akar Pule' by Oka Rusmini. The form of myth contained in 'Root Pule' by Oka Rusmini consists of two fields, namely the field of anthropology and sociology. Both fields of myth are closely related to women. the form of myth in the field of anthropology is closely related to the rituals that must be performed by women, while in the field of sociology the form of myths closely related to women is a curse, a jinxed bearer.

Abstract

Terdapat aspek-aspek keterampilan bahasa dalam proses pembalajaran. Aspek-aspek keterampilan bahasa itu harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Keterampilan berbahasa yang dimaksud yaitu, keterampilan menulis, keterampilan mendengarkan atau menyimak, keterampilan membaca, dan keterampilam berbicara. Aspek-aspek keterampilan berbahasa sebagai tolak ukur dalam pembelajaran. Keberhasilan proses pembelajaran bisa ditinjau pada hasil belajar siswa di sekolah. Hasil belajar diartikan sebagai capaian prestasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan kriteria. Kriteria merupakan patokan atau acuan untuk mencapai nilai di sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis nilai siswa dalam menulis cerita pribadi kelas XII semester I SMA MA Bustanul Arifin Lukguluk Tramok kecamatan Kokop kabupaten Bangkalan sebelum menggunakan media audio visual hasilnya lebih banyak siswa yang mendapatkan nilai 0-70 adalah 23 siswa dengan kriteria kurang baik sedangkan yang mendapatkan nilai 71-100 berjumlah 3 orang dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa setelah mengadakan tes tulis yang kedua menggunakan audio visual pada cerita peribadi siswa kelas XII semester I MA Bustanul Arifin Lukguluk Tramok kecamatan Kokop kabupaten Bangkalan yang mendapat nilai 70-80 berjumlah 4 siswa, nilai 81-90 sebanyak 14 orang dengan kriteria baik, dan siswa yang mendapat nilai 91-100 6 siswa.
