Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

Motivasi merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, karena bagi sebagian siswa bahasa Inggris merupakan pelajaran yang tidak penting dan juga menakutkan sehingga mereka tidak memiliki keinginana atau kesadaran untuk belajar bahasa Inggris. Pada dasarnya bahasa Inggris merupakan pelajaran yang sangat bermanfaat bagi setiap individu khususnya peserta didik. oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan motivasi agar siswa tersebut menyadari bahwa setiap mereka memilki potensi untuk memiliki kemampuan bahkan menguasai bahasa Inggris.

The value of education in the sentence azan includes several elements, among others, first, the educational value of monotheism, instilling the values of monotheism to children who are expected to have strong beliefs, Aqidah to God alone and avoid shirk. Second, the educational value ubudiyah, which through the azan in children at birth is expected to be a child who always maintain the cleanliness, discipline, orderly, like helping others, not bothersome, always do good to others, do not do evil, be useful and beneficial for the people others, both in the life of society, nation, state and religion. Thirdly, the educational value akhlaqiyah, this value imparted to a newborn child so that the child has a good personality commendable to God, fellow human beings, as well as to animals and nature. And so the child can try, do the right path, but it does not spoil. Azan sentence submitted to a newborn child could be applied because of the wisdom and educational value contained in the sentence azan. Because, first received sound human hearing are sentences calls the Supreme Being that contains the greatness of God, is also the creed as a condition of the first to convert to Islam.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah komite sekolah yang sudah dibentuk oleh masyarakat dan sekolah sudah maksimal keterlibatannya secara penuh dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, misalnya dalam memberikan pertimbangan dalam penentuan dan pelaksanaan kebijakan pendidikan. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana peran komite sekolah di SMPN 12 Mandau dan bagaimana implementasi fungsi dan tujuan komite sekolah di SMPN 12 Mandau. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang berupa penelitian dengan metode atau pendekatan studi kasus, dengan teknik wawancara. Dalam hal ini penulis mengambil sample sebanyak 13 orang masyarakat. Hasil dari penelitian adalah Komite Sekolah bertujuan untuk mewadahi dan menyalurkan aspirasi dan prakarsa masyarakat dalam melahirkan kebijakan operasional dan program pendidikan di satuan pendidikan sudah terlaksana walaupun belum maksimal dan perlu dilakukan kerjasama yang lebih baik lagi. Peran Komite Sekolah sebagai pemberi pertimbangan, pendukung, pengontrol, mediator sudah terlaksana walaupun belum maksimal perlu mempelajari kembali AD/ART komite sekolah. Fungsi Komite Sekolah sudah terlaksana di SMPN 12 Mandau walaupun masih perlu mempelajari lagi PP no 17 tahun 2010 ini disebutkan bahwa komite sekolah selain mandiri juga harus profesional. Artinya Komite sekolah harus benar-benar dapat menjalankan peran dan fungsi, tidak hanya menjadi alat pelengkap di sekolah, atau bahkan hanya menjadi ”tukang stempel atas kebijakan kepala sekolah.This study aims to know whether school committees that have been established by the community and schools have maximal full involvement in improving the quality of education, for example in giving consideration in the determination and implementation of education policy. The problem formulation in this research is how the role of school committees in SMPN 12 Mandau and how the implementation of the function and purpose of school committees in SMPN 12 Mandau. This research is descriptive qualitative research in the form of research with method or approach of case study, with interview technique. In this case the authors take a sample of 13 people. The result of the research is the School Committee aims to accommodate and channel the aspirations and initiatives of the community in giving birth to operational policies and educational programs in educational units have been implemented although not yet maximal and needs to be done better cooperation. School Committee's role as a consideration, supporter, controller, mediator has been implemented although not yet maximally need to re-examine AD / ART school committee. School Committee function has been done in SMPN 12 Mandau although still need to study again PP no 17 of 2010 is mentioned that the school committee other than independent also must be professional. This means that the school committee must really be able to perform roles and functions, not only be a complementary tool at school, or even just a "stamp on the principal's policy

Artikel ini mengidentifikasi aspek fungsi dan makna pada papan iklan yang ada di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Data diperoleh dari papan iklan yang ada di kawasan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Data dikaji meggunakan metode observasi dan teknik simak catat. Data dianalisis berdasarkan konsep pragmatik dan metode identifikasi dengan teori tindak tutur ilokusi oleh Searle (1983). Searle menggolongkan tindak tutur ilokusi ke dalam lima macam bentuk tuturan yang masing-masing memiliki fungsi komunikatif, yaitu asertif (assertives), direktif (directive), ekspresif (expressive), komisif (commisive), dan deklaratif (declarative). Berdasarkan analisis data pada bilboard ditemukan tindak tutur asertif, direktif, ekspresif, dan komisif. Artikel ini akan dipresentasikan secara deskriptifThis article identifies the function and meaning aspects of billboards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Data obtained in the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia area. The data analyzed uses the observation method and the technique of note taking. Data analysis based on pragmatic concepts and identification methods. The data is analyzed based on the illocutionary speech act theory by Searle (1983). Searle classifies illocutionary speech acts into five types of speech forms, each of which has communicative functions, namely assertive, directive, expressive, commisive, and declarative. Based on data analysis found the speech act of asertive, directive, ekspresif, komisif and deklarative. This data will be presented narative descriptively

This study aims to improve basic questioning skills and student achievement through learning based on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This is a classroom action research that carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The subjects of this research were 30 fourth grade students. The data collection tool used evaluation tests, observation sheets for teacher and student activities, and observation sheets for students' basic questioning skills. The results showed that the application of STEM learning can improve students' basic questioning skills from the first cycle with an average of 2.48 to 4.45 in the second cycle. Students' mastery learning presentation also increased every cycle, from 70.44% to 96.66% for science lessons and 78.94% to 96.66% for Indonesian language lessons. The application of STEM-based learning gives good results and learning activities take place actively and pleasantly.

This study aims to determine the role of the madrasah committee in improving the quality of madrasah. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were the head of the madrasah and the madrasah committee. While the object of this research is the work program of the MTsN 2 Siak madrasah committee for the 2018/2019 academic year. The number of samples in this study were 13 people consisting of 1 madrasah principal and 12 madrasah committees. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the madrasah committee had played its role and function as a provider of consideration, support and mediator. In the relationship between the head of madrasah and the madrasah committee, it can be linked as coordinative, supportive, evaluative, normative, collaborative, and communicative.

Malay culture is one of the supporting pillars of the national culture in Indonesia. Malay culture influences from the outside, but it does not change the basic structure of the Malay culture. Malay culture has proven its ability in accordance with Malay motto “tak lekang karena panas tak lapuk karena hujan“. So, it needs to be continued and preserved. Form of Malay culture is very diverse. This can be oral and written. This is also in the form of poems and rhymes. Malay teachings have many messages in accordance with the teachings of Islam. The Malay culture is identical to Islam.

Menulis merupakan mata kuliah utama dalam jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris.Banyak hal yang mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis. Diantaranya adalah Emotional Quotient (EQ) dan penguasaan tata bahasa. Penulis melakukan penelitian yang berbentuk penelitian korelasional. Tiga hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Emotional Quotient (EQ) terhadap kemampuan menulissiswa, penguasaan tata bahasa siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis mereka, dan pengaruh Emotional Quotient (EQ) dan penguasaan tata bahasa siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis mereka. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh Emotional Quotient (EQ) dan penguasaan tata bahasa siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis mereka dari Jurusan Bahasa Inggris STAI Hubbulwathan Duri pada tahun akademik 2015/2016. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah EQ siswa danpenguasaan tata bahasa siswa memiliki kontribusi yang kuat untuk kemampuan menulis mereka.

Hasil prestasi akademik mahasiswa tergantung pada usaha mahasiswa, baik mahasiswa yang berkarir atau mahasiswa yang tidak berkarir. Tidak menutup kemungkinan mahasiswa yang berkarir bisa meraih prestasi akademik yang lebih baik. Penelitian dilakukan pada 36 orang mahasiswa semester VI program studi Pendidikan Agama Islam STAI Hubbulwathan Duri. Dalam penelitian ini, hasil menunjukkan adanya perbedaan prestasi akademik antara mahasiswa yang berkarir dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa yang tidak berkarir, yaitu mahasiswa yang berkarir lebih tinggi nilai rata-rata IPK-nya daripada mahasiswa yang tidak berkarir. The result of student's academic achievement depends on the effort of students either students who are career or students who do not have a job. It doesn’t mean that students who have a career couldn’t achieve better academic achievement. The study was conducted on 36 students of the sixth semester of the Islamic Religious Education course STAI Hubbulwathan Duri. In this study, the results indicate differences in academic achievement between students with a career with academic achievement of students who are not a career. The result shows students who have a career higher than the average score of students who doesn’t have job.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar mind mapping picture dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa pada deskriptif teks pada kelas VIII SMP S Sentosa, serta faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi peningkatkan keterampilan menulis tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Mei sampai 15 Juni 2017. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat kali pertemuan. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 32 siswa. Peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, wawancara, dan tes menulis. Dari hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan bahwa penggunaan mind mapping picture dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil tes siswa pada tes I adalah 60,38, dan pada tes II adalah 71,13, dan hasil siswa pada tes III adalah 77,50, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa. Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perubahan peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks descriptive adalah media dan materi pembelajaran. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan mind mapping picture pada pengajaran menulis teks descriptive dapat memberikan hasil yang sangat memuaskan dengan meningkatnya keterampilan menulis siswa.The purpose of this researchwere to find out how much mind mapping picture can improve students' writing skills in descriptive texts in class VIII SMP S Sentosa, and what factors influence the improvement of writing skills. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was started from May10th 2017 up to June 15th2017. The research was conducted in three cycles, which each cycle had four meetings. The populations in this research were 32 students. The researcher gathered the data in each cycle from observation checklist, fieldnotes, interviews and writing test. After analyzing the data, the researcher found that mind mapping picture was able to improve the students’ writing skill in descriptive text. Based on the result in test I is 60.38 then the result of the test II is 71.13 and the result of test III is 77.50, it could be seen that there were improvement in students’ writing. Furthermore, the factors that influenced the improvement of students’ writing involved media and material. Finally, the implementation of mind mapping picture in teaching writing of descriptive text could provide satisfied result on students’ writing skill
