Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

Reading comprehension is one of the skills that students must have to enrich their knowledge, especially university students. There are two kinds of reading strategies: Top – Down strategy and Bottom – Up Strategy. The aim of this research is to find information about students’ reading comprehension strategies that were applied by the students when they were given reading comprehension text. The research design was qualitative approach. The informants consisted of ten English educational department students, one reading subject lecturer and the head of English educational department. Interview and observation were the major sources of the data to find out the students’ strategies on reading comprehension. Based on those data, it was found that most of the students applied bottom – up strategies in reading comprehension texts

Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan kemampuan berbicara siswa antara kelompok kontrol engan kelompok eksperimen.Sebelum menggunakan Power Teaching Strategy nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 53.64 setelah menggunakan Power Teaching Strategy nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 78.00. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa t-diperoleh 2.73 pada tingkat signifikansi α = 0.05 dan derajat kebebasan (df) 94 yang diperoleh dari N-1,t-kritis adalah 1.98. T-diperoleh lebih tinggi dari t-kritis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada efek yang signifikan antara kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas delapan M.Ts Hubbulwathan Duri setelah menggunakan Power Teaching Strategy.

Decreasing moral values today is very worrying. It does not only happen in adults, but also occurs in youth and students. The factor that causes the wrong attitude in teenagers is looseness of grip on religion values. Moreover, the moral guidance ineffective in homes, schools, and communities also cause the wrong attitude in teenagers. Cultural materialistic, hedonistic, secularism and lack of awareness of government also joined the cause of the decline in moral values today. To solve these issues, religion education should be enhanced by involving members of the household, school, and community.

Teacher in the classroom activities include two main things, namely teaching and managing classes. Teaching activities directly intended to intensify students achieve goals such as studying the needs of students, preparing lesson plans, presenting teaching materials to students, asking questions to the students, assessing student progress are examples of teaching activities. Manage classroom activities intended to create and sustain an atmosphere (condition) that the class teaching activities that can take place effectively and efficiently. The study is aimed at finding the effect School Participation (APS) of the students of the age 16—18 on poverty rate in Bangka Belitung Province using quantitative research methodby implementing statistic analytic of simple regression model. The data used in this study is derived from National Statistics Bureau (BPS) of Bangka Belitung from the year 2012—2016. The results of the study show that the increase of APS has strong relation with the decrease of the poverty level. The result of the study is important for the local government to maintain the increase of APS rate in order to combat the poverty level in Bangka Belitung Province.Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh angka partisipasi sekolah (APS) usia 16—18 tahun terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangkabelitung menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis statistik yaitu regresi sederhana. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari laman Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Bangkabelitung tahun 2012—2016. Dari penelitian ini, diketahui secara rata-rata bahwa nilai APS berbanding lurus dengan penurunan tingkat kemiskinan. Hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk pemerintah daerah agar terus meningkatkan APS, karena hal tersebut terbukti dapat menurunkan tingkat kemiskinan.

This study aims to determine the effect of failure in parenting for early childhood and factors that inhibit or support parents in parenting. This research is a correlation study with product moment correlation analysis. The method in this study is to use a case study approach, instruments or tools used to obtain data through the dissemination and filling of questionnaires by parents, direct interviews with parents and documentation as secondary data so that the data obtained is more complete. After going through a fairly long process of data collection, processing and analysis, it can be seen that there are significant effects of gadgets in parenting for early childhood. The presentation was permissive parenting 88.31%, democratic parenting 61.65% and authoritarian parenting 50.04%. With the analysis that the three parenting styles above are influenced by gatget in the process of parenting parents to early childhood but the most strongly influenced are parents with permissive parenting. The factors that hinder parenting are many 5-year-olds who use gadgets, 5-year-olds can already be friends and choose friends, 5-year-olds have their own desires, and global technological developments. The factors that hinder parents in parenting are many 5-year-olds who use gadgets, 5-year-olds can play with friends and choose friends, 5-year-olds have their own desires, and increasingly sophisticated technology. Supporting factors for parents in parenting are good cooperation in the family, having the same commitment, consistency in caring for children, parents providing educational tools in accordance with the age of the child, and parents providing time to play with children. The solutions for parents, children and early childhood education institutions in caring for children should not be affected by gadgets. For parents, it is better to do and multiply positive activities.

Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan Big-Book dapat meningkatkan kemampuan tata bahasa menjadi lebih baik dalam menulis; dalam hal konten, organisasi, tata bahasa, kosa kata, dan mekanika. Siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan Big-Book memiliki menulis yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan Big-Book . Dengan kata lain, Big-Book dapat membantu siswa dalam menulis. Dengan menggunakan Big Book dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menggunakan tata bahasa yang baik dan kemampuan menulis mereka.

Salah seorang ahli, Bellafiore Joseph mengatakan bahwa tanda baca sangat perlu dalam menulis. Tanda baca tersebut sangat menentukan pesan-pesan yang akan disampaikan oleh penulis kepada pembaca. Maka penulis harus mampu meletakkan tanda baca pada tempat yang semestinya karena penghilangan, penambahan, ataupun kesalahan letak tanda baca tersebut akan membingungkan pembaca bahkan tidak dapat menangkap pesan-pesan yang akan disampaikan penulis. Kemampuan menulis ditentukan banyak hal seperti penguasaan kosa kata, penguasaan tanda baca, dan penguasaan tata bahasa. Dalam hal ini penulis menganalisis kesalahan-kesalahan yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa dalam penempatan tanda baca.untuk mengetahui masalah diatas, penulis menggunakan Punctuation Test sebagai instrument. Dalam pengelolaan data,penulis menggunakan descriptive analysis untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan tanda baca yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesalahan dominan ditemukan pada penempatan titik (.), tanda Tanya (?), tanda seru (!), tanda pisah (--), tanda kutip (“ “), huruf besar, tanda apostrof (’), dan tanda penghubung (-).

The purpose of this research is to know how the institutional management system that run in Ma'had alquran and Dirosat Islamiyah. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is influence of institution management implementation to educate of alquran in Mahad alquran and Dirosat Islamiyah. The research method used in this research is quantitative method. Data collection techniques consist of observation, documentation, interview, questionnaire, and literature study. For data analysis technique use descriptive and percentage. Based on the results of research conducted it can be seen that the institution Ma'had alquran and Dirosat Islamiyah as an educational institution alquran has implemented the functions of management as contained in the theories of management science. Institutional management run in Ma'had alquran and Dirosat Islamiyah is quite maximal, but also new innovations both in institutional system and education system of Quran, so that institution Ma'had alquran and Dirosat Islamiyah is better known by other regions. This proves that a well-managed Quran educational institution produces a good quality of Quranic education so as to bring people's appeal to study the Quran there.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana sistem manajemen kelembagaan yang dijalankan di Ma’had alquran dan Dirosat Islamiyah. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh implementasi manajemen lembaga terhadap pendidikan alquran di Ma’had Alquran dan Dirosat Islamiyah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri atas observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, angket, dan studi pustaka. Sementara untuk teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualiatif dan persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwa lembaga Ma’had alquran dan Dirosat Islamiyah sebagai sebuah lembaga pendidikan alquran telah melaksanakan fungsi-fungsi manajemen sebagaimana yang terdapat dalam teori-teori ilmu manajemen. Manajemen kelembagaan yang dijalankan di Ma’had alquran dan Dirosat Islamiyah terbilang cukup maksimal, tetapi perlu juga adanya inovasi-inovasi baru, baik dalam sistem kelembagaan maupun sistem pendidikan alquran, agar lembaga Ma’had alquran dan Dirosat Islamiyah lebih dikenal lagi oleh daerah-daerah lain. Ini membuktikan bahwa sebuah lembaga pendidikan alquran yang terkelola dengan bagus menghasilkan kualitas pendidikan alquran yang bagus pula sehingga mendatangkan daya tarik masyarakat untuk belajar alquran di sana.
