Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

Abstract

Islam forbids Muslims to abandon a soil. Islam also advises people to give excess water to other people who need the water to maintain their soil. Rasulullah SAW ordered to hold the land for people who do not want to rent or give the land to others. He also encourages his people to plant trees. Prophet also forbade us to urinate in stagnant water. All the suggestion and prohibition have a goal to improve people life.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out whether there was a significant difference between reading comprehension recount text ability of students who were taught by using Herringbone technique and those who were taught without using Herringbone technique. The research method used was experimental research. The instruments  for collecting data was test. It was given to subjects before and after the experiment. The test was used in order to find out the students comprehension ability on recount text. The subject chosen for this study were 62 students at the tenth grade of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Terpadu Duri. They were divided into two group: experimental and control group.Based on finding, the results of t-test and interpretations, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) Herringbone Technique  was applicable to improve students` ablity in comprehending recount text, (2) there was a significant difference between reading comprehension ability of students who were taught  before using Herringbone Technique and those who were taught after using  Herringbone Technique. And  (3) there was significant effect of using Herringbone Technique in comprehending recount text at the Tenth Grade Students of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Terpadu Duri. It was evidence by calculation of t- test. The result of t-test was  (2, 00 7, 15 2, 65). It could be concluded that Ha was accepted.  Key Words: Herringbone Technique, Recount Text

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap penilaian sumatif dan formatif bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Hubbulwathan Duri, tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei yang menggunakan angket untuk mengumpulkan data. Angket tersebut terdiri dari 30 pernyataan yang berkaitan dengan sikap siswa terhadap penilaian sumatif dan penilaian formatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Hubbulwathan Duri. Ada 75 siswa sebagai sampel. Berdasarkan analisis data, peneliti menemukan bahwa sikap siswa bervariasi pada kedua komponen. Total rata-rata jawaban siswa 69.16% pada penilaian sumatif dan 78.54% pada penilaian formatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ini menunjukkan bahwa sikap siswa terhadap penilaian sumatif dan formatif di kelas VIII MTs Hubbulwathan Duri adalah tinggi.This research was aimed to find out the students’ attitude to English summative and formative assessment at the eighth grade students of MTs Hubbulwathan Duri, in the academic year 2017/2018. The type ofthe research was survey research which used questionnaire to collect the data. The questionnaire consisted of 30 items dealing with students’ attitude to summative and formative assessment. The subject of this research was the eighth grade students of MTs Hubbulwathan Duri. There were 75 students as sample. Based on the data analysis, the researcher found that the students’ attitude had various numbers for each component. The total mean of students’ answer was 69.16% in summative assessment and 78.54% in formative assessment. Based on the research finding, it shows that the students’ attitude to English summative and formative assessmentat the eighth grade of MTs Hubbulwathan Duri was high

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the development of the number of villages that have school facilities in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands, and analyze the development of the percentage of illiterate population in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, compare it with the percentage of national illiterate population and analyze the influence of the number of villages that have school facilities on blind residents letters in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands. This research is a quantitative study, using statistical analysis with linear regression data analysis techniques and validation tests of ANOVA analysis. This research uses data from the pages of the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Statistics Agency from 2011 to 2018. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the number of villages that have school facilities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province of 32% to 36% in contrast The percentage of illiterate people in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province has decreased from 17.41% to 2.91%. This 2.91% figure is lower than the national percentage of 4.88%. Based on regression analysis with a regression coefficient of 0.940 and the regression equation Y = -0.860X + 128.2 and ANOVA analysis with a p-value of 0.0038 and significance 0.0049 can be concluded a variable increase in the number of villages that have school facilities resulting in a decrease variable percentage of illiterate population in Bangka Belitung island province.

Abstract

The various of regulations and legislation about teachers is part of the long-term effort and strategy to improve the quality of education.The experts generally agree that the improvement of the quality of education stems from the improvement of the quality of the teachers. Beside has the knowledge and skill, the power of thinking, an ulil albab alsomust have moral value, obligation and responsibility to built a civilization. When a scholar is defined as someone who has a deep religious knowledge, very high moral and has a responsibility to educate public. It is not wrong, even though it is not enough. Ulama in the classical period of Islam was according to the guidance of Al-Qur’an are those who not only master the science of religion but the general science and responsible for building civilization.

Religion and education have strong relationship. Religion guides human to do good things and leaves bad things. Based on this reason, many schools (private and public school) apply Islamic curriculum and full day system. In full day school, learning process is not merely formal, but also a lot of atmosphere is informal. It is not stuffy. It is fun for students and requires creativity and innovation from teachers. With this system, the length of learning time will not be burden.  It is hoped to create high quality of education

Abstract

Integrated Quality Management (TQM) is a management system focuses on a group of people aiming at an increase in satisfying customers with lower costs continuously. Integrated Quality is an integrated system approach (not a separate area or program), and an integral part of the strategy high.In the level of total quality perspective, the educational managers should be held that: (1) Everyone involved in education is a part of the educational process. (2) All the education process should be supervised,  because it required the presence of inspectors. (3) The education managers must also control the functioning of self sebagain any educational process. The process involves the design of education, process control by education providers, and managers of education must involve all parties to get their commitment in the design, re-design and control of the educational process in order to remain productive

Abstract

Evaluasi pembelajaran meliputi kegiatan pengukuran dan penilaian terhadap perkembangan hasil belajar peserta didik. Dengan begitu, evaluasi harus dilaksanakan dengan sebaik-baiknya agar tidak terjadi kesalahan dalam mengukur dan menilai perkembangan hasil belajar peserta didik tersebut. Evaluasi yang baik adalah evaluasi yang dilakukan dengan mendasarkan diri pada prinsip-prinsip yeng telah ditetapkan. Di antara prinsip tersebut adalah prinsip kontinuitas. Prinsip kontinuitas menghendaki evaluator melaksanakan evaluasi secara berkesinambungan dari waktu ke waktu agar mendapatkan kesimpulan yang benar terhadap perkembangan hasil belajar peserta didik tersebut.Evaluation of learning includes measurement and assessment of the learning outcomes of learners. Thus, the evaluation should be carried out with the best in order to avoid errors in measuring and assessing the learning outcomes of learners. A good evaluation is an evaluation that is done by basing themselves on the principles that have been established. Among these principles is the principle of continuity. The principle of continuity requires the evaluator to continuously evaluate from time to time in order to get a correct conclusion on the learning outcomes of the learners.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the students’ decoding ability in comprehending reading text. Related to the object of the research, the researcher used the descriptive method by using quantitative approach. The research was conducted at the fourth semester of English Program. The population of this research was the all students of fourth semester of English program at STAI Hubbulwathan Duri in academic year 2017/2018.The sample of the research was 13 students. In analyzing the research data, the researcher used SPSS. The data were taken from the students’ decoding ability in comprehending reading text is test score. Based on statistical calculation in data analysis, the researcher interpreted test score. From the calculation, the result mean values that researcher obtained through analyzing the data that has been collected from sixth components of decoding ability in comprehending reading text, they are previewing, reading for main idea, using context for vocabulary, scanning for detail, making inference and locating reference is around “76.73‖ and from that data, the researcher can conclude that the value is in ―Average‖ category.

Abstract

Guidance and conseling is an integral part of education that has a position to help students develop a psychosocial aspect consisting of strenghthening the value of virtuous values to produce human resources of character. Characters can not be built only taught to remain internalized through a holistic approach. The government gives 18 values of character education that are described as follows: religious, honest, tolerance discipline hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nasionality love of the homeland, appreciate achievement, friendly/communicative, love to read, care about the environment, social care, and having responsibility. The scope of character education include two aspects of human being that is the inward aspect and the exit aspect. Inward aspect or potential aspects include aspect of cognitive ( if thought), affective (though the heart), and psychomotor (sport) aspects. Exit  aspects are in the context of  sociocultural aspects in interation with other include interaction in the family, school and community. Each aspect has a space that contains the value of character educational value.
