Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

Islam forbids Muslims to abandon a soil. Islam also advises people to give excess water to other people who need the water to maintain their soil. Rasulullah SAW ordered to hold the land for people who do not want to rent or give the land to others. He also encourages his people to plant trees. Prophet also forbade us to urinate in stagnant water. All the suggestion and prohibition have a goal to improve people life.

The various of regulations and legislation about teachers is part of the long-term effort and strategy to improve the quality of education.The experts generally agree that the improvement of the quality of education stems from the improvement of the quality of the teachers. Beside has the knowledge and skill, the power of thinking, an ulil albab alsomust have moral value, obligation and responsibility to built a civilization. When a scholar is defined as someone who has a deep religious knowledge, very high moral and has a responsibility to educate public. It is not wrong, even though it is not enough. Ulama in the classical period of Islam was according to the guidance of Al-Qur’an are those who not only master the science of religion but the general science and responsible for building civilization.

Religion and education have strong relationship. Religion guides human to do good things and leaves bad things. Based on this reason, many schools (private and public school) apply Islamic curriculum and full day system. Teacher in the classroom activities include two main things, namely teaching and managing classes. Teaching activities directly intended to intensify students achieve goals such as studying the needs of students, preparing lesson plans, presenting teaching materials to students, asking questions to the students, assessing student progress are examples of teaching activities. Manage classroom activities intended to create and sustain an atmosphere (condition) that the class teaching activities that can take place effectively and efficiently. Rewarded with immediate effect, develop a good relationship between teachers and students, develop rules of the game in the groups activities are examples of activities to manage the class. Failure of a person achieve the learning objectives of teachers is directly proportional to the inability of teachers to manage classes. Guidance and conseling is an integral part of education that has a position to help students develop a psychosocial aspect consisting of strenghthening the value of virtuous values to produce human resources of character. Characters can not be built only taught to remain internalized through a holistic approach. The government gives 18 values of character education that are described as follows: religious, honest, tolerance discipline hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nasionality love of the homeland, appreciate achievement, friendly/communicative, love to read, care about the environment, social care, and having responsibility. The scope of character education include two aspects of human being that is the inward aspect and the exit aspect. Inward aspect or potential aspects include aspect of cognitive ( if thought), affective (though the heart), and psychomotor (sport) aspects. Exit aspects are in the context of sociocultural aspects in interation with other include interaction in the family, school and community. Each aspect has a space that contains the value of character educational value.

Motivasi merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, karena bagi sebagian siswa bahasa Inggris merupakan pelajaran yang tidak penting dan juga menakutkan sehingga mereka tidak memiliki keinginana atau kesadaran untuk belajar bahasa Inggris. Salah seorang ahli, Bellafiore Joseph mengatakan bahwa tanda baca sangat perlu dalam menulis. Tanda baca tersebut sangat menentukan pesan-pesan yang akan disampaikan oleh penulis kepada pembaca. Maka penulis harus mampu meletakkan tanda baca pada tempat yang semestinya karena penghilangan, penambahan, ataupun kesalahan letak tanda baca tersebut akan membingungkan pembaca bahkan tidak dapat menangkap pesan-pesan yang akan disampaikan penulis. Kemampuan menulis ditentukan banyak hal seperti penguasaan kosa kata, penguasaan tanda baca, dan penguasaan tata bahasa. Dalam hal ini penulis menganalisis kesalahan-kesalahan yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa dalam penempatan tanda baca.untuk mengetahui masalah diatas, penulis menggunakan Punctuation Test sebagai instrument. Dalam pengelolaan data,penulis menggunakan descriptive analysis untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan tanda baca yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesalahan dominan ditemukan pada penempatan titik (.), tanda Tanya (?), tanda seru (!), tanda pisah (--), tanda kutip (“ “), huruf besar, tanda apostrof (’), dan tanda penghubung (-).

Malay culture is one of the supporting pillars of the national culture in Indonesia. Malay culture influences from the outside, but it does not change the basic structure of the Malay culture. Malay culture has proven its ability in accordance with Malay motto “tak lekang karena panas tak lapuk karena hujan“. So, it needs to be continued and preserved. Form of Malay culture is very diverse. This can be oral and written. This is also in the form of poems and rhymes. Malay teachings have many messages in accordance with the teachings of Islam. The Malay culture is identical to Islam.

Menulis merupakan mata kuliah utama dalam jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris.Banyak hal yang mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis. Diantaranya adalah Emotional Quotient (EQ) dan penguasaan tata bahasa. Penulis melakukan penelitian yang berbentuk penelitian korelasional. Tiga hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Emotional Quotient (EQ) terhadap kemampuan menulissiswa, penguasaan tata bahasa siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis mereka, dan pengaruh Emotional Quotient (EQ) dan penguasaan tata bahasa siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis mereka. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh Emotional Quotient (EQ) dan penguasaan tata bahasa siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis mereka dari Jurusan Bahasa Inggris STAI Hubbulwathan Duri pada tahun akademik 2015/2016. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah EQ siswa danpenguasaan tata bahasa siswa memiliki kontribusi yang kuat untuk kemampuan menulis mereka.

Kinerja adalah perilaku nyata yang ditampilkan setiap orang sebagai prestasi kerja yang dihasilkan oleh karyawan sesuai dengan perannya dalam perusahaan/organisasi. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa kinerja merupakan suatu kondisi yang harus diketahui dan dikonfirmasikan kepada pihak tertentu untuk mengetahui tingkat pencapaian hasil suatu organisasi atau lembaga. Dalam tulisan ini, yang dimaksud dengan organisasi adalah lembaga pendidikan. Sementara, karyawan adalah guru atau dosen. Konsep komitmen organisasi penting bagi karyawan dalam menjalankan tugas sehari-hari di tempat kerja. Bila seorang karyawan memiliki komitmen tinggi terhadap organisasi tentu dia akan menjalankan tugasnya secara profesional, sehingga kualitas karyawan tersebut tercermin dalam perilakunya di tempat kerja. Komitmen merupakan rasa keterikatan dan kesetiaan yang ditujukan oleh seorang karyawan terhadap perusahaan/lembaga. Sementara, kinerja merupakan jawaban dari berhasil atau tidaknya tujuan organisasi yang telah ditetapkan. Kinerja (prestasi kerja) adalah hasil kerja secara kualitas dan kuantitas yang dicapai oleh seorang pegawai/karyawan dalam melaksanakan tugas sesuai dengan tanggung jawab yang diberikan kepadanya. Komitmen guru atau dosen merupakan rasa keterikatan dan kesetian yang ditunjukkan oleh seorang guru atau dosen terhadap institusi pendidikan tempat ia bertugas, sedangkan kinerja adalah jawaban dari berhasil atau tidaknya, baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas, seorang guru atau dosen terhadap tugas dan tanggung jawab yang diberikan oleh institusi pendidikan kepadanya.Performance is a tangible behavior that everyone displays as work performance generated by employees in accordance with its role in the company / organization. Thus it can be said that performance is a condition that must be known and confirmed to certain parties to know the level of achievement of an organization or institution. In this paper the author intent with the organization is an educational institution. While the employee is a teacher or lecturer. The concept of organizational commitment is very important for employees in carrying out daily tasks in the workplace. When an employee has a high commitment to the organization of course he will perform their duties professionally, so that the quality of employees is reflected in his behavior in the workplace. Commitment is a sense of attachment and loyalty directed by an employee to a company / institution ". While performance is the answer to the success or failure of organizational goals that have been established. Performance (performance work) is the work of quality and quantity achieved by an employee / employee inperforming tasks in accordance with the responsibilities given to him. The commitment of teachers or lecturers is a sense of attachment and loyalty shown by a teacher or lecturer to the educational institution in which he is in charge, while performance is the answer of the success or failure of both the quality and quantity of a teacher or lecturer to the tasks and responsibilities provided by educational institutions to her.
