Abstract

Uncontrolled uric acid on blood can lead to hyperuricemia in a person. Many symptoms shown when a person suffer gout were inflammation, pain, heat, swollen and stiff joints so it cannot move as usual. The morbidity rate of patients at the age of 34 years was 32% and aged over 34 years was 68%. One of the solutions that can be offered to reduce the symptoms of gout is by treating was removing static blood that contains toxins from the human body. The research aim was to determine the effect of wet cupping on reducing uric acid levels in the blood. The method that used on this research was Problem Intervention Comparison Outcome Study design (PICOS) framework. The selection of articles with the keywords "gout" and "cupping" found 1627 journals. Total of 32 data do not match the formulation of the problem and objectives. While 312 data do not match the title. Journals that match the inclusion criteria obtained 8 studies. The literature used is the Google Scholar database, Springer Link, Science direct. The results of the assessment of 8 journals, found that wet cupping can reduce uric acid levels in the blood with a significant value (P <0.05).

The data analysis used is path analysis with STATA 17. The results showed that there’s a direct and positive association between perceived benefit and stunting prevention behavior (b = 1.45; p = 0.036). There’s a direct and positive association between self-efficacy and stunting prevention behavior (b= 1.83; p < 0.001). There’s an indirect and positive association between prior related behavior and stunting prevention behavior through perceived benefit (b = 1.45; p = 0.003). There’s an indirect and positive association between prior related behavior and stunting prevention behavior through self-efficacy (b = 1.78; p < 0.001). Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a major global problem, with 2.5 to 3 billion people at risk of developing the disease. Aedes aegypti is the main vector in epidemics, a disease that usually affects urban areas, but is starting to hit rural areas, infecting an estimated 50 to 100 million people each year. The only program to control it is mosquito control as a vector. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using modified mosquito killer as an alternative to controlling Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes. The method in this study was an experiment with a pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in July-September 2022. The population in this study was 34 houses of residents suffering from DHF in the Sindang Barang Health Center, Bogor City. The sampling technique in this study used the sowball sampling technique. The procedure in this study used UV light to attract mosquitoes and fan suction to attract mosquitoes into the trap then assessed changes in the density of Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes using observation sheets and hand counters using measuring instruments, namely changes in the number of mosquitoes trapped and killed in units. tail at 10.00-11.00 WIB. The results of the pretest-posttest data show that the density of mosquitoes has a significance value of 0.053. So it can be concluded that the use of a modified mosquito killer is not effective as an alternative to controlling Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. The use of mosquito killers depends on humidity and temperature factors.

Abstract

Background Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease that requires long-term management, particularly adherence to dietary recommendations, to achieve optimal glycemic control and prevent complications. According to the latest World Health Organization (WHO) report in 2023, the global number of people living with diabetes mellitus continues to increase and is estimated to reach approximately 422 million. Dietary adherence plays a crucial role in improving quality of life and reducing the risk of both acute and chronic complications. However, many patients still experience difficulties in consistently following dietary recommendations. Objective: This study aimed to determine the factors associated with dietary adherence among patients with diabetes mellitus, with particular emphasis on family support, knowledge, and attitudes. Methods: This study employed a quantitative cross-sectional design. A total of 99 patients with diabetes mellitus were recruited using purposive sampling based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis included univariate analysis to describe respondents' characteristics and bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test to examine the associations between variables. Results: The results demonstrated statistically significant associations between family support and dietary adherence (p < 0.05), knowledge and dietary adherence (p < 0.05), and attitudes and dietary adherence (p < 0.05). Patients who received good family support, possessed adequate knowledge, and had positive attitudes were more likely to adhere to dietary recommendations. Conclusion: Family support, knowledge, and attitudes were significantly associated with dietary adherence among patients with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Background: Excessive doomscrolling may adversely affect children's sleep quality. Furthermore, its affect negative cognitive, emotional, and behavioral consequences include reduced attention, poor academic performance, increased daytime sleepiness, and a higher risk of mood and anxiety disorders. Objective: This study seeks to ascertain the correlation between the duration of doomscrolling and the quality of sleep in school-aged children. Methods: This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 87 students was obtained by a simple random sampling method at SDIT Permata Malang, located in the Lowokwaru District of Malang City. The tools employed were the doomscrolling scale questionnaire and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The analysis employed the Spearman's rho test. Results: The findings indicated an association between doomscrolling and sleep quality in school-age children (p-value = 0.028 (<0.05)) with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.236. A majority of sixth-grade students at SDIT Insan Permata Malang exhibited low doomscrolling length (52.9%) and good sleep quality (64.4%). Conclusions: Longer doomscrolling behaviour tends to be associated with poorer sleep quality. Subsequent research may evaluate doomscrolling behavior, sleep efficiency, and parental monitoring, utilizing longitudinal and experimental studies.
