Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is a global health problem that remains unresolved, including in Indonesia. The high incidence of TB indicates the need for attention in TB control, which is carried out with the Directly Observed Treatment Short Course (DOTS) strategy by supporting patients to take Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (OAT). TB treatment takes a relatively long time so it is feared that it can cause hepatotoxicity which is diagnosed through albumin and bilirubin levels. Objective: the purpose of this study was to determine the description of albumin and bilirubin levels in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis using OAT in Ambon City. Methods: this study was a descriptive observational study with a prospective cohort approach using purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted in 4 locations, namely at Al-Fatah General Hospital, Tk.II Prof. dr. J. A. Latumeten Hospital, Maluku Province Community Lung Health Center, and Maluku Province Health Laboratory Center. The number of subjects with TB was 21 subjects who met the inclusion criteria, namely patients with pulmonary TB who will undergo first-line OAT treatment. Results: results of this study showed that patients with pulmonary TB were mostly 15-24 years old (33.3%) , male (66.7%), BMI before treatment <18.5 kg/m2 (52.3%), BMI at the end of treatment 18.5-22.9 kg/m2 (57.1%), new cases (90.4%), bacteriologically diagnosed (66.7%), taking Category 1 KDT OAT (100%), and without a history of comorbid diseases (57.2%). Conclusion: During the treatment process, the average albumin level increased within normal limits, while bilirubin levels fluctuated but remained within the normal range.

Abstract

The work environment has the potential for Occupational Diseases which cause health problems for workers due to physical work environment factors. The physical work environment is in the form of infrastructure conditions, temperature, lighting and noise, while the non-physical work environment is related to work relations and communication. Workers have the right to work in a safe and comfortable working environment because it is the main factor in determining worker conditions. A supportive work environment can trigger workers to increase productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the comfort level of a workplace using three variables, namely temperature, lighting and noise with the Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) approach. Using the Mamdani FIS method and Matlab R2010b program, it is expected to measure the condition of the work environment, including temperature, lighting, and noise, so that if the work environment conditions are inadequate, evaluation and improvement can be carried out. This research was carried out by a system engineering to determine the quality of the workplace environment using the Mamdani FIS method algorithm through the matlab software. It has been assumed that there are three indicator variables used to determine a condition in which each variable has its own decomposition of the input function and fuzzy set. Based on the case study used as a sample, the room conditions had a temperature level of 22°C, 55 db of noise and 210 lux of lighting, which resulted in an environmental quality of 91.3 with good workspace criteria.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a kidney function disorder characterized by a gradual decline in the filtration rate, resulting in severe and irreversible kidney damage. In patients with CKD, the body's fluid balance will be disrupted, necessitating the use of fluids. Fluid in the body will result if the patient is unable to control his or her fluid intake. Hemodialysis patients’ health and quality of life are largely determined by their fluid compliance. Family support is one of the risk variables that can influence a patient's willingness to reduce fluid intake. The purpose of this study is to see if there's a link between family support and the need for fluid contact in kidney failure patients at avisena general hospital's hemodialysis unit. This is a quantitative research method that employs an analytical descriptive method with a cross-sectional design. The purposive sampling strategy was used to select 30 respondents for this investigation. Family support and fluid request questionnaires were employed as the research tool. Almost all of the 24 respondents (80.0 %) had good family support, and the majority of the 22 respondents (73.3 %) were obedient in restricting fluid intake, according to the findings. According to Fisher's exact test analysis, p-value = 0.002 < (0.05), there is a significant correlation between family support compliance with fluid intake restrictions in chronic kidney disease patients at the hemodialysis unit at avisena hospital. The findings of this study are likely to be utilized as a guide and foundation for future research.
