Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the Fourth largest population in the world. The coverage of the LongTerm Contraceptive Method (MKJP) at the Tikung Health Center is very low, at 8.3%. According to previous research, pocket books effectively improve knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pocket book counseling on the use of MKJP. This research is an experimental study with a post test control group design. The sample in this study were couples of childbearing age who met the criteria that had been set. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample size was calculated using the formula for the difference in the average of the two samples and obtained each experimental and control group, namely 60 respondents. The experimental group was given counseling with a pocket book and the control group was given counseling with a leaflet. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate with Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test and multivariate with logistic regression test. Based on the Mc Whitney test, it was found that the p value < 0.05 that the provision of pocket books was more effective than the provision of leaflets in the use of MKJP.

Abstract

Background: The increasingly complex zoonotic threats and global health dynamics necessitate a comprehensive One Health approach to enhance community resilience. Despite acknowledging this framework’s relevance, previous research reveals fragmented findings and insufficient integration of crucial socio-economic dimensions in pandemic response. This systematic review aims to synthesize knowledge, identify trends, gaps, and scientific contributions surrounding the interaction between One Health and zoonosis. Objective: The main objective is to comprehensively identify trends, gaps, and contributions within the academic discourse of One Health, zoonosis, and community resilience. Methodology: Following PRISMA guidelines, a rigorous Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the Scopus database. We included 65 relevant articles published from 2019 to 2024, focusing on One Health-zoonosis intersections and community-level interventions. Qualitative thematic synthesis was employed to integrate diverse findings and identify core patterns. Results: Findings show the scientific narrative has shifted to integrate Community Resilience as a vital component alongside One Health and Zoonosis pillars. Analysis revealed geographical polarization: developing countries focus on strengthening local capacity, while developed nations emphasize advanced technology. Highly cited literature tends toward quantitative and mixed methods approaches for greater evidence. Conclusion: This study contributes by synthesizing fragmented knowledge and integrating elements such as local knowledge, digital technology, and gender dynamics into a holistic One Health framework. The key implication is a research paradigm shift towards integrated methodologies to yield robust and actionable evidence. Abstract

Background: Appropriate breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices are essential to prevent stunting, as inadequate nutritional intake increases the risk of growth impairment. Therefore, nutrition education needs to be strengthened to enable mothers to meet their children’s nutritional needs optimally, using easily accessible digital media such as flipbooks. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of digital flipbook–based nutrition education on mothers’ perceptions of stunting prevention for children aged 0–60 months. Methods: A quantitative study with a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 110 respondents selected through simple random sampling and divided into intervention and control groups. The study was conducted in the working area of Sukarahayu Primary Health Center, Subang. Results: There was a significant improvement in the intervention group after receiving the digital flipbook education (p = 0.0001), whereas the control group showed minimal changes (p = 0.012). Additionally, an Independent t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups in stunting prevention perception (t = 6.986; p = 0.000). Conclusion: The findings indicate that digital flipbook–based education positively influences mothers’ knowledge and perception regarding stunting prevention. Correlation analysis revealed that maternal age, education, income, and internet access were associated with improved perception of stunting prevention, while child’s sex, child’s age, mother’s occupation, and number of children were not associated. Thus, digital flipbooks can serve as a more effective educational alternative compared to traditional lecture methods in stunting prevention efforts.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) is a condition that causes illness and death. As of 25 October 2022, it was stated that there were 6.472.664 total confirmed cases and 158.454 deaths in Indonesia. Pregnant women are a high-risk population for Covid-19 infection. But a pregnant woman might be hesitant to attend a health center to monitor her pregnancy for fear of contracting Covid-19. This problem decreased the number of pregnant women in Indonesia who visited health services. This research study aims to examine the anxiety issues experienced by pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic. This article's methodology is based on an exhaustive search of numerous databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and the trusted scientific website. Articles are chosen based on criteria like free full text, open access, and publication date beyond January 2020 to October 2022. The systematic search produced a total of 1238 articles, with 9 articles meeting the inclusion criteria. This research study concludes that pregnant women constitute a high-risk population during the Covid-19 pandemic. Pregnant women were known to feel anxiety in the majority. These psychiatric diseases offer risks to the fetus, including prenatal development impairment, early delivery, and low birth weight. Pregnant women require social assistance to lessen their fear during the Covid-19 pandemic and to increase their compliance with Antenatal Care in an effort to discover pregnancy issues early, so that mothers and infants may be anticipated to be healthy and safe.
