Abstract

EVENTMALANG website is a media for reporting information about event performances in Malang, Batu, and its surroundings which is located at www.eventmalang.net. This study discusses how to increase the level of usability website using the WEBUSE questionnaire which has 4 categories of Content,vOrganization andvReadability, Navigationvand Links, UservInterface Design and Performancevand Effectiveness which are given to 30 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Solution design making applies the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach and then evaluates the solution design again. The results of the solution design evaluation showed the highest increase in the category of User Interface Design that experienced an increase of 0.103. Followed by Navigation and Links an increase of 0.086. Content, Organization and Readability has increased by 0.065, and Performance and Effectiveness has increased by 0.055.

Abstract

Deaf children belong to a group of children who experience language and communication problems because of their inability to get a voice. Despite their shortcomings they still have the potential to learn to speak and speak. In developing language skills and speaking deaf children need special services in the form of systematic language teaching to minimize the impact caused by the phlegm they experience. In this study developing language teaching and training services using Android-based mobile devices technology by utilizing Google Speech to process sound. Language training applications for Deaf provide a feature to facilitate deaf people in practicing language skills. In the application there are pictures and learning videos that discuss pronunciation pronunciation techniques and techniques to support training and learning. Based on the validation testing that has been done, the results obtained with a percentage of 100%, which means the system has met functional requirements. As for the usability level, the results of the average test are 70.5, with the user acceptance rate stated in the Acceptable, grade C category with a Good rating.

Abstract

A temperature rise that exceeds the comfort zone leads to heat stress to broiler chickens, where the chicken will experience a decrease in growth, decreased feed, anxiety, increased water consumption and lead to death. The comfortable zone temperature of broiler chickens ranges from 20-25 °C, humidity ranges from 50-70%, and ammonia levels from 0-5 PPM whereas the current temperature problem in Indonesia fluctuates between 29-36 °C. Based on the problem is made automation system to minimize heat stress with Fuzzy Sugeno method. This study using 3 parameters of temperature, humidity, and ammonia from the readings of DHT11 sensors and MQ 135 sensors as input and output of fan speed and water pump dewy scale on the system. To determine the output using Fuzzy Sugeno method. It can be concluded that this system is able to minimize heat stress with the test conducted for 15 days by using 2250 broiler chickens where the death of chickens in cages that do not use this system the number of deaths as many as 93 chickens, and in cages using this system the number of fewer deaths as many as 42 chickens.

Abstract

One of the things that is inseparable from the progress of technology is security. If we only rely on a security system using human power, it is also not so effective because people also have a sense of tired. Therefore a security support system was created such as barcode, rfid card, PIN, password and etc. However, the use of media that has some security flaws namely can be lost, stolen or damaged, and abused by people who are not responsible. One of the alternatives that can be performed i.e. utilize face as data security. On the research of this system are made using Raspberries Pi 3 were integrated with the Logitech webcam C525 as input, as well as the mikrokontroller Arduino Uno as ultrasonic and light sensor processing. For LCD, buzzer, and module SIM800L is used as the output of the system to provide notification in the form of a alarm,visual text, and SMS. This system uses Haar-Classifier to detect face objects in the image captured by the webcam. Next, Eigenface method is used to get weight of face image. After weight of face image obtained, search the smallest difference in weight of face image of new faces with the image of the face on the database where the results determine how the output from the system. From the results of testing the accuracy of face detection, best accuracy is obtained at a distance of 40 cm with 100% accuracy. Overall accuracy of testing the accuracy of face recognition at a distance of 40 cm is 75%. From system integration testing software with hardware obtained percentage error of 0%. The average time of computation in recognizing a face is 0.11536 seconds.

Abstract

Software defined networking is a new field of research, where the concept aims to replace an inflexible and complex network with an innovative and agile network by separating the control plane and data plane. One of the protocols that can carry the concept of SDN is OpenFlow. Problems about network security that related about gap on conventional network are also occur on the OpenFlow network. One of the network attacks which can be threatening the security of the OpenFlow network is DoS of duplicate address detection, which attackers exploit a gap on IPv6 duplication checking schemes in a local network. Program that can be applied on controller to resolve some security issues in OpenFlow is Stateful Packet Inspection. To resolving the gap, development of the Stateful Packet Inspection can be done to prevent attacks on duplicate address detection processes by adding an NDP checking mechanism using the NDPMon method. There are several tests to test the system's functionality and performance in overcoming gaps in DAD process on the OpenFlow network. From the test results, we obtained that the system can noticed duplicate address detection process and successed to handle three test scenarios for DAD DoS attacks.

Abstract

The goalkeeper robot is part of robosoccer team which is in charge of catching the ball correctly and also effectively. To make the movement of goalkeeper robot correct and also effective, the goalkeeper robot must be able to know how far the distance between the ball and itself. Therefore, ball distance detection system on the goalkeeper robot using Hough Circle Transformation based on Raspberry Pi was made. This research used webcam Logitech C525 and Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. The images captured by camera will be processed to obtain binary images with minimum noise. Then cartesian coordinates and diameter of the ball will be obtained by using Hough Circle Transformation. The distance between ball and goalkeeper robot is calculated using comparison between ball diameter that detected by system and diameter at the references distance. Ball coordinate in the frame can also be used to get position and angle direction of the ball. Based on the test, best angel of view of camera for distance and angle detection is 47,2o with the accuracy of distance detection is 97,69% and accuracy of angle detection is 94,69%. The average computation time is 158.54 ms.

Abstract

The technology of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) can be used in a wide variety of needs for example in terms of its network of offices, companies, health care, and even daily activities that require the WSN. However, in terms of the functions that are owned by WSN technology required monitoring against resources consumed in order not going waste of resources. Meanwhile, on the other hand monitoring the transfer of certain activities require the existence of a state. For the problem of the excessive use of power resources in the intermediate implementation mechanism needed quite a long low power on sensor nodes in some conditions one of which was the sleep mode on a periodic basis. Taking and sending of data sensors this time using gas sensor MQ-7. Mikrokontroller used in the sensor node is system has low power features ATmega328p in its components. For the method used in protocol the MQTT-SN is mechanism of publish-subscribe communication serves as a regulator of event-driven architecture on each state. Protocol on the MQTT-SN has four state two of which also feature sleep available which are suitable for the application of energy-saving systems. After testing done on these results are obtained when the ATmega328p normal average current of 45.15 mA and when the sleep of 26.47 mA with the reduction of current of 18.68 mA.

Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia is a business entity owned by Indonesia transportation service provider namely train,along with the time PT KAI is quite aware of the importance of a mobile application to provide online services. with this application is expected to providing convenience in accessing and conducting transactions,but the reality application users provided by PT KAI is KAI Access application is quite low based on the rating and user response on the PlayStore. this shows that the value of Usability KAI Access is quite low it is necessary to conduct research by testing and improvement in usability aspects.In measuring the quality of an application can be done by measuring usability value.in this research was conducted using usablity technique,with usability questionnaire the name is Syestem Usablity Scale (SUS)method,it can measuring user satisfaction after doing testing by assigning tasks performed by respondents using the Access KAI application and make improvements with using Discovery Prototyping method as suggestion for improvements whic conducting by interview the users,the give recommendation with using prototype and do testing again then compare it.The result obtained from testing performed get result of usability value KAI Access aplication is 57.48% and after re-testing with using prototype from improvement recommendation suggest get result of 83,03%.

Abstract

Management information is the main thing that has to be met by companies with a large and complex data. Currently, many hospitals, clinics, health centers, as well as the practices of doctors have used information system to facilitate data management and improve the quality of service to patients.But Klinik Elisa Malang encountered obstacles in registration of patients and medical record search.One patient could take 5-15 minutes to perform the registration process, including the search of the patient's medical record or creating medical record documents for new patients.This process can take much longer if a patient's medical record document was not found or is found in the broken state, the officer should make a new medical record. Based on these problems, the authors developed the electronic medical record system and online patient registration web-based that provides medical registration for old patients and also has features that are related to the patient's medical record management that have been converted to electronic form.The author uses the software development life cycle with waterfall model. Testing is done using unit testing with whitebox method and validation testing using blackbox method that produces valid values on all test cases, and compatibility test with 82% valid results.

Abstract

Kids in their early age(born - 6 years) are experiencing rapid growth phase and they can learn all kind of knowledge, therefore they need a good guidance for their education. Beside books medium that can be used for education are video games. By playing video games childrens can have a fun and educational medium. Therefore this research develop a video game that can be played by childrens. Augmented reality used in the game in hopes that the game will looks attractive and makes the childrens be keen on learning. The game designed using iterative rapid paper prototype method because the more the game prototype iterate the better it will be. To test if the game is fun and makes children to have an interest in learning reading, writing, and calculating we test it with Fun Testing test and the result of that shown that the childrens are interested in learning reading, writing, and calculating. Childrens concept of reading, writing, and calculating are increasing shown by the mean score of the pre-test and post-test with the score of pre-test is 76 and the post-test is 80.
