Abstract

PT Kaltim Daya Mandiri has a total of 109 employees who are managed by the HRD department. Of course, every employee must be assessed to maintain their performance, which always increases every year. Therefore, the HRD department uses the 360 method of employee appraisal. To increase the effectiveness of employee appraisals, it is necessary to design a 360 employee appraisal website. In this project, the author's team chose to use the Design thinking method because this method focuses the user in the design process according to the needs of the customer. PT Kaltim Daya Mandiri which also focuses on its users. In the Design thinking method there are five stages, namely; Empathize (empathy), Define (determination), Ideate, Prototype, and Testing with cognitive walkthrough methods. This study resulted in a high-fidelity prototype based on an assessment using a cognitive walkthrough, on the HRD dashboard page every second the respondent takes an average completion time of 1545.3 seconds with success rate 94% and on the assessment dashboard page every second the respondent takes an average completion time of 512.5 seconds with success rate 60% from each second given task scenario.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a collection of sensor nodes with limited energy resources that are distributed in a certain area so as to create a network architecture that is connected to each other. With the limited energy resources available at each node, it becomes a challenge for the implementation of the architecture. In an effort to save energy, one of the ongoing studies is to make WSN devices last a long time. One of the efforts to save energy is to choose a routing protocol that can save energy. One of the protocols developed by experts based on meta-data for ideal lossless networks is the Sensor Protocol for Information via Negotiation (SPIN) protocol. However, the SPIN protocol itself still has problems that the protocol has not been able to solve. One way to solve this problem is to modify the SPIN protocol itself. Modifying the protocol is expected to extend the lifetime of a node, by applying randomized packet dropping modifications to the SPIN routing algorithm and using energy detection in the OMNET++ simulation program so that it can save energy consumption and extend the active life of nodes. In this study, the results achieved to extend the lifetime of a small number of nodes, while the larger the number of nodes the energy difference becomes less different.

Abstract

Twitter is a very popular social media platform in the current millennial era. Twitter is widely used as a means to express opinions and criticisms on issues that are currently being discussed. At the beginning of July the government had made efforts to handle COVID-19 in Indonesia by establishing a policy Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) Darurat. Such a policy is very necessary considering the spread of the COVID-19 virus is still high, especially in big cities. But on the other hand, the limitation of activities as part of the policy has a very large impact on the community, especially with the addition of the extension of the policy which makes people bored because they find it difficult to carry out activities. For this reason, this research conducted a sentiment analysis to see the tendency of public sentiment during the implementation Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) Darurat policy in Indonesia using the Naive Bayes classification method and the addition of the Lexicon Based feature. The provision of the Lexicon Based feature aims to filter sentimental words, so that data processing becomes faster. Based on the test results obtained, through the division of cross validation with the confusion matrix test, the accuracy is 0.75, precision is 0.76, recall is 0.76, and f-measure is 0.75. The use of the stopword feature has an influence on the classification results, because the use of the stopword feature can eliminate some of the terms resulting from the Lexicon Based feature which causes a reduction in term variations so that the accuracy results obtained are lower than without using the stopword feature.

Abstract

Basic programming is an important subject to be passed by Vocational High School students whose majors are technology and computer based. In basic programming itself, there are several basic competitions that students must understand, starting with students being required to know various types of programming languages, followed by writing program syntax, understanding data types and constant variables, etc. Learning basic programming requires a lot of practice which can train students to directly engage in programming, as was experienced by SMK National Media Center Malang who found the problem of lack of time to practice due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During the pandemic all teaching and learning activities are always carried out online. Online learning activities like this usually take place assisted by video call media. The existence of this distance constraint means that this learning path will be different from direct learning activities in class, in terms of the flow of material delivery or students' interest and motivation in receiving material.I develop a media that can help students understand Basic Programming lessons. This media will later be in the form of a game based on Android, with a puzzle quiz game style and a material module. This game media was designed using the ADDIE method of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Game media testing will be carried out using 3 methods, namely, using Blackbox testing for the performance of game media functionality, followed by User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to measure the level of user acceptance with the media, and finally a Motivation Questionnaire to measure the level of student learning motivation after using the media.

Abstract

Gelsey Real Surakarta is a home industry that is engaged in the business of buying and selling clothes. The increase in the number of sales by up to 50% from the beginning of 2021 to the middle of 2021 which makes them need more effort because they are recorded manually or recorded. The amount of data that must be written, they often do a re-calculation in the middle of 2021, when the soaring demand for production of up to ±1000 orders per month creates sales results that are not balanced with the recording in the book. The small number of employees makes them do double jobs in the production and transaction departments. From these problems, Point of Sales (POS) information system was created for data management and sales transactions. The development of this system uses the Laravel framework and the programming language PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL database. The tests used are functional testing, user acceptance testing and compatibility testing. Functional testing using a validation test results from this test obtained the results of 24 test cases which show all are valid. While the user acceptance testing test, the author submits a questionnaire with 18 total questions and the result is 91.11% where when adjusted to the Likert interval table, the examiner's assessment agrees with the questions in the questionnaire for information systems. The last test, namely the results of the compatibility testing test, shows that this system can be accessed by all web browsers. It can be concluded that the Point of Sales (POS) information system facilitates transaction management and also recaps data so that employees can minimize the occurrence of unintentional errors.

Abstract

Greenhouses can protect plants from erratic weather and plant pests. One of the optimal planting methods to grow in a greenhouse is wick hydroponics. Hydroponic wick is static because it relies on the principle of capillarity which causes high temperatures and poor dissolved oxygen due to the transfer of oxygen from the solution to the air. However, not necessarily hydroponic wick plants are perfectly protected in a greenhouse. The greenhouse effect is an event where some of the heat that penetrates into the greenhouse is then trapped inside so that the greenhouse air temperature becomes warmer. Warm temperatures affect plant growth because the temperature rises and humidity drops. To create optimal temperature and humidity, this research aims to create a temperature and humidity control system. Multiple linear regression is used to control the system, so that the system can run and adjust according to the time predicted by the multiple linear regression model. The temperature and humidity sensor used is a DHT22 sensor with an error during detecting temperature of 5.47% and humidity of 4.85%. In the system, the mean time of multiple linear regression computation is 111 milliseconds. The multiple linear regression model that used to control the system is very good with an error of 7.34%. The system works well and can lower the temperature and increase the humidity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an electronic module that suits the needs and can improve student learning outcomes in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Online Business subjects at SMK PGRI 3 Malang. The development of electronic modules is carried out using the Research and Development (R&D) method. The developed module applies multimedia principles including Contiguity principle by placing pictures and explanations on one page, Signaling principle by marking special points, Coherence principle by adding materials related to the learning objectives only, and Redundancy principle by reducing explanations or unneeded media. The application of multimedia principles obtained a very good validation level from media experts with an average score of 4.00. Tests using a questionnaire were conducted to material experts, media experts and students to determine the validity of the electronic module. From the testing process, an average total score of 3.50 was obtained with a very good validation level. The Paired Sample T-Test test is used to measure the success rate of implementing the electronic module which is carried out by combining the students' pre-test and post-test scores. This test results in a significance value of 0.000 which is less than 0.05, so there is an increase in the value of learning outcomes obtained by students between before the application of the electronic module (pre test) and after the application of the electronic module (post test).

Abstract

Primkopal AAL Surabaya merupakan koperasi penyedia kebutuhan dari anggota AAL Surabaya. Dalam menjalankan seluruh fungsi, pengurus Primkopal AAL melakukan pencatatan data yang dimulai dari pencatatan data anggota, simpanan, penjualan, pinjaman, dan kredit. Seluruh proses tersebut dilakukan secara manual dimana hal tersebut dinilai kurang efektif dan efisien dikarenakan dalam prakteknya, membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama saat pengajuan pinjaman dan kredit, sulitnya penyampaian informasi kepada anggota, banyaknya kesalahan pencatatan data, dan banyak hilangnya data yang disimpan oleh pengurus koperasi. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas, penulis mengusulkan sebuah sistem yang dapat membantu melakukan penyampaian informasi dan pembukuan dari proses penjualan dan simpan bagi pihak pengurus Primer Koperasi Angkatan Laut AAL Surabaya. Sistem yang akan diimplementasikan memiliki fungsi untuk melakukan pendaftaran anggota, penjualan barang, simpanan sukarela, kredit, pinjaman, dan penyampaian informasi alur seluruh proses. Implementasi sistem akan menggunakan metode SDLC Waterfall dengan bahasa pemrograman Javascript pada framework React JS pada frontend dan Express JS pada backend dengan database MySQL. Sistem ini akan diuji dengan menggunakan metode pengujian unit testing, integration testing, validation testing, dan compatibility testing.

Abstract

Humidity and acidity (PH) are essential factors because if rockwool is too acidic not moist or dry the plant growth rate will be slower. A pH that is too acidic or alkaline can result in the deposition of nutrients and inorganic substances in hydroponics so that plant growth is less than optimal. Temperature also plays an important role in plant growth. With this the author will create a system using a Soil Moisture sensor a PH-4502C sensor and a Linear Regression method that is connected to the Arduino Uno and will issue an output that is flowing water through a water pump with the condition that the humidity in the rockwool has not met the set point as well as for the pH will flow PHUP water if the pH conditions on Pakcoy plants are low and will flow PHDOWN if the pH conditions on Pakcoy plants are high. For this system there are 25 training data including 20 data as training data and 5 data as test data. The results obtained from the Linear Regression test are MAPE and RMSE for humidity 5,1% and 0.12 while for PH are 5,2% and 0.17 and the results of Pakcoy seed plants can grow perfectly as expected.

Abstract

This research was carried out based on the current condition, namely the Covid-19 pandemic, so learning activities were conducted. Education is currently experiencing challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore the government issued a policy so that learning is done from home using online methods to suppress the spread of the virus. During this pandemic there was a change in the learning environment that influenced rning styles, learning motivation, and the role of parents on student learning achievement at home. This study aims to determine how the influence of learning styles, learning motivation, and the role of parents on the learning achievement of class X TKJ students in Basic Networking subjects at SMKN 6 Malang. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with the type of inferential analysis research. The sample in this study were students of class X TKJ 1 with a total of 30 students. Data retrieval of learning styles, learning motivation, and the role of parents on student achievement using a questionnaire distribution media using google form. The results showed that learning styles, learning motivation, and the role of parents together did not affect on student achievement. It was stated that H0 was accepted. The significance value obtained is 0.595 > 0.05; 0.040 > 0.05; 0.000 > 0.05.
