Abstract

In construction concrete is the most widely used building material in the world, both in construction. Concrete is a composite building material made from a combination of aggregate and cement binder. The most common form of concrete is portland cement concrete, which consists of mineral aggregates (gravel, and sand), cement and water. Indonesia is the country with the 2nd largest plastic waste producer in the world on June 7, 2017, with data on the amount of plastic in the high seas of Indonesia reaching 0.48-1.29 million tons annually. Therefore, one way to cope with plastic waste, on this occasion the author tries to conduct an experiment about the Effect of Utilization of Bottled Plastic Waste as an Additional Material on Concrete Flexural Strength. This research was carried out by making concrete with the addition of alternative polymeric materials, namely plastic bottle waste (PET). The variation of the percentage of the addition of plastic bottle waste in this study is 0%, 2%, 3%, 5% of the mass of cement and concrete material used materials originating from Kampar Regency and Padang cement with the type of PCC (Portland Composite Cement). The results of the flexural strength test, obtained the quality of concrete has decreased, which in the mix of 3% decreased concrete quality is quite low from the mixture (0%, 2%, 3% & 5%), from 53.93 kg / cm2 in the mixture of 0% to 45.09 kg / cm2 in a mixture of 3%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Riau Province is one of the provinces that has several coastal areas, both in the mainland and the islands. The handling of many coastal locations in Riau Province is a problem for relevant agencies in making decisions about which coastal locations will be prioritized for handling. This study analyzes the level of coastal vulnerability and decision-making systems in terms of determining the priority of coastal areas to be handled using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results showed that Tanjung Motong beach, Kepulauan Meranti Regency and Coastal Pambang Beach in Bengkalis Regency were the highest vulnerability beaches with a value of 244.95. The criteria for strategic issues with sub-criteria for national strategic areas have the highest level of influence for determining the priority of coastal handling areas, which is 73%. Coastal Pambang Beach in Bengkalis Regency is a coastal area that is located in a national strategic area that gets priority handling. Abstract

Generally, laboratory testing to determine the value of soil shear strength and stress path is triaxial test, especially for clay soil. In this research, the clay used for digital triaxial testing on axial compression (AC) stress path is Karawang clay soil, West Java, which have high plasticity (CH) in USCS classification. On pre-saturation process, a combination of vaccum and back pressure is used to speed up the saturation of the sample and to provide a high degree of saturation. Furthermore, the obtained soil parameters are used as inputs on finite element modeling which Mohr Coloumb and Hardening Soil model were used as the soil constitutive models. The results show that parameter optimization using hardening soil modeling has a behavior that is closer to the shape of the stress strain curve from laboratory tests.

Abstract

The knowledge on the behaviour of a building structure is very important in order to predict the behaviour of the structure before it is constructed. This is to ensure that the structure is safe to be used. New current modern technology is now able to predict the behaviour of a structure through computer simulation as a replacement to laboratory tests. However, laboratory tests will also have to be performed in order to validate the proposed computer models. This thesis illustrates the prediction of the structural behaviour of Profiled Steel Sheet Dry Board (PSSDB) which is a structural composite floor system constructed of Bondek II (profiled steel sheeting), Cemboard (dry board) connected via Power Drive DX14 (self drilling, self tapping screws). The floor structure is loaded with a uniformly distributed loading and its behaviour due to the openings at the center of the panel analysed using a finite element perangkat lunak package, LUSAS-FE. The one-way spanning plate have been analysed in this research. The increase in deflection in the longitudinal direction is found to be more influenced by the presence of the opening than the deflection in the transverse direction. The average percentage of the increase in deflection of the one-way spanning plate due to the presence of 20%, 40%, and 60% opening of its overall width are 36%, 108%, and 184% respectively in comparison to the deflection of plate without opening. It has been found that as the size of opening increases, the deflection also increased.

Abstract

The construction of the 500 kV Sumatra transmission network is the main project supporting the transmission line below and first on the island of Sumatra. With the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project scheme in its implementation the main contractor experienced several technical and non-technical constraints that affected the time performance of the project itself. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the performance of the project implementation time from the pre-construction stage (licensing, land clearing, and design planning) to the construction of the construction. The research method used is a survey method of the Project Implementation Unit with analysis using the Relative Importance Index (RII) method. The results showed that factors related to licensing problems from the government, inaccurate survey data (Pre-Design), and scarcity of raw materials are the three main problems that affect the performance time of the Sumatra 500 kV transmission development project

Abstract

The Damar road section is a connecting lane for the Pasar Raya Padang area which starting to face parking problem. The indicator is the disruption of the flow and the high accumulation of parking volume on Jalan Belakang Olo section. These affected to the decrease on the level of the road services (LOS) on Jalan Damar Padang. So, the analysis of LOS, parking characteristics and parking management on Jalan Damar were carried out. The results of the parking characteristics analysis during the three days of observation showed that the average parking duration was 34-35 minutes, the maximum Parking Turn Over was 3.6 vehicles /day/space, and a maximum Parking Index was 84.91 %. The level of service level value indicated that the degree of saturation was 0.51 (DS <0.80) and it categorized to the B level; the flow classified stable with the average travel speeds ≥ 40 km / hr. The results of the traffic volume analysis trends and the volume of parked vehicles are contradictory. This could answer the question why that on parking activities the Jalan Damar did not caused a significant problem. Management of the on street parking through a Parking Meter Machine at this location is recommended. In the initial stage, the results of the parking characteristics analysis and the lay-out of parking lot can be offered. However, the further study will be needed to determined such as the vehicles growth rate and parking tariff to avoid the impact on the Level of Service.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Ruas Jalan Tol Pekanbaru-Dumai seksi-1 termasuk percepatan pembangunan jalan tol Sumatera, penelitian ini melakukan analisis kelayakan finansial pada investasi jalan tol Pekanbaru-Dumai seksi-1 dengan konsesi single period, analisa pendekatan stokastik dengan bantuan sofware -at-risk versi 7.6.1 serta pendekatan deterministik sebagai pembanding, Investasi jalan tol Pekanbaru-Dumai seksi-1 sebesar Rp. 1.766.858.970.000 dengan proporsi ekuiti sebesar Rp.1.236.808.000.000 dan dept sebesar Rp. 530.050.970.000. Hasil perhitungan NPV dengan metode pendekatan deteriministik pada risiko rendah Rp. 100.247,04 juta, risiko sedang Rp. 99.492,09 juta, risko tinggi Rp. 97.280,99 juta, serta dengan pendekatan stokastik pada risiko rendah Rp. 574.617,27 juta, risko sedang Rp. 544.400,74 juta, risko tinggi Rp. 512.530,56 juta. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, maka proyek jalan tol Pekanbaru-Dumai seksi-1, layak secara finansial.

Abstract

RIO HAMDANI, NIM 1410246101. Evaluation of the Implementation of Building Information (BIM) 5D on Review Time For Optimizing Time And Costs, supervised by Sigit Sutikno and Manyuk Fauzi. Design review efficiency to obtain the changes order document is very important to be completed at the beginning of the project and not overlapping to the implementation schedule. One cause of the addendum or CCO is a drawings error that use 2D CAD software suchas mismatches design, design changes, specification changes, design errors and drawings that are less detailed and complete so that it affects the work schedule and material purchases. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach where data were obtained from interviews and questionnaires on four competent personnel both from the contractor and construction management consultants to then be compared with data obtained from BIM practitioners. With this research it is proven that the use of BIM greatly helps the efficiency of review time so that it affects the overall project time achievements. The efficiency of review time can be achieved by 52.94%, the calculation of volume and cost can be improved by 42%. While the cost efficiency and number of personnel are 9% and 9.5%. Abstract

Shear strenght is a parameter to soils strenght analysis. Shear strenght can be obtained from laboratorium test that interpreted as stress and strain. Soil tests had done on soil stabilization of cement with mixing 5%; 10%; 15% of content. Soil tests were used by triaxial test of unconsolidated undrained (triaxial UU) with cell pressure at 50; 100; 200 kN/m2 and unconfined compression test. The test specimens were disturbed soil samples which compacted and remolded, and then carry out curing for 0; 3; 7; 14; 28 days. The laboratory test results were back analysis in Plaxis 2D by using Mohr-Coulumb and Hardening Soil model later. The Mohr-Coulumb and Hardening Soil model had deviator stress results was almost equal to the test results of triaxial UU and unconfined compression test. Especially of strain by Mohr-Coulumb model, shew the lower strain than be showed by triaxial UU test and unconfined compression test. The Hardening Soil model, provides fluctuating strain results of triaxial UU test because it is affected by the application of cell pressure (σ3) and it provides greater strain results from unconfined compression test. Abstract

In 2019 the presidential intersection was renovated by installing traffic lights, increasing the number of lanes, and geometric changes to the Jhoni Anwar road arm. The redesign is done by widening the road on the Jhoni Anwar (T) arm from 6.5 m to 9 m and the application turns left following the Traffic Light (PLT) on the arm of Jhoni Anwar (B). The recalculation results obtained a DS value of 0.83 with a service level "D" that is the current is approaching unstable, the speed is still controlled, Q / C can still be tolerated. The value of the average intersection delay is 37.75 sec / pcu. The queue length of the Khatib Sulaiman (U) 84 m, (S) 95 m, (T) 58 m, and the Jhoni Anwar (B) intersection arm 47 m. Budget Cost needed for Traffic Light planning is Rp. 328,959,800,-.
