Abstract

Abstract

Stability of soil on the riverbank necessary to considered towards landslide. Especially the location of soil in around it commonly have kinds the soft soil and over deformation. The large lateral earth pressure grant the influence to sheet pile stability. The face problem was embankment placed in riverbank on natural soil. It is potentially occur shear failure on embankment. Aim the study was design sheet pile to own bearing capacity in order to able withhold mainly lateral force. The source data from soil investigation report was SPT and analysis method based on soil properties, load design, lateral earth pressure, moment force. The result based on soil investigation obtained that almost 20 meters depth was soil to overly soft density. Depth of sheet pile was not reached rock soil because it mainly withhold lateral earth pressure. Therefore design of sheet pile planned to using steel sheet pile of Larssen profile 605K with length 12 m and driving depth 7 m along reinforcement to block anchor.

Abstract

Air Putih - Sei Selari crossing of Bengkalis regency has a distance of 5 miles. The total number of Ro-Ro vessels operating at the parallel crossing of Air Putih – Sei Selari is 6 vessels with a rolling system where 4 vessels operate and 2 vessels are off / standby. The number of trips served per day is an average of 20 trips. However, the overall number of ships operating on a fairly close trajectory is not balanced with optimal ship operating time service. As a result there is a queue of ships to dock. In this study used several methods of analysis to solve the problems that occur, including load factor analysis, frequency analysis required and analysis of the needs of the number of ships. From the results of the analysis it was found that the ideal number of ship frequencies under normal and congested conditions were 21 trips/day and 24 trips/day respectively. Scheduling is based on ship service time during normal and busy times, both of that condition have Sailing Time 35 minutes, headways 90 minutes at normal condition and 103 minutes at congested, Layover time 20 minutes at normal times and 25 minutes at congested, so as to minimize the length of waiting time for ships to dock on the wharf. With a total of 6 ships, the ship operating schedule per day uses a ship rolling system with the division of 3 ships in operation and 3 ships off / standby.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparative efficiency of cost and time in soil transportation using two methods: 300-foot barges and 250-foot barges, within a reclamation project. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method with a comparative approach to assess volume, cost, and completion time. The analysis indicates that using a 300-foot barge, with a transport capacity of 8,000 tons or approximately 3,810 m³ per trip, can complete a total workload of 1,000,000 m³ within 350 working days. The total cost for this method amounts to IDR 600 billion. In comparison, the 250-foot barge method requires a higher cost of IDR 650 billion for the same volume of work. Based on these calculations, the 300-foot barge method is deemed more efficient in both cost and time, offering a cost savings of IDR 50 billion and a more consistent execution timeline. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for planning and decision-making regarding soil material transportation methods in future projects of similar scope.

Abstract

The village area is a location far from the city which has many shortcomings, especially information technology communication. The best development and the fastest and most efficient way of developing information communication is to build from the bottom up at the village level. Every village in Indonesia must be independent and be able to develop themselves to obtain and share information. For this reason, the government has begun to implement a system of development and development from the outskirts or the lowest level, which is called the village and then to the urban area. To support this development, the government created the Smart Village information technology concept. The Smart Village concept has an agenda to strengthen rural management through the use of information and communication technology. In this regard, the Government continues to innovate and be creative to support the Smart Village program. Sei Lembu Makmur Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province is a village located approximately 45 kilometers from the provincial capital. For this reason, information technology education and data communication through Smart Villages are needed so that village governments can develop Smart Villages independently and community leaders and agencies in the local village area can accept Smart Village development directly in the village.

Abstract

The knowledge on the behaviour of a building structure is very important in order to predict the behaviour of the structure before it is constructed. This is to ensure that the structure is safe to be used. New current modern technology is now able to predict the behaviour of a structure through computer simulation as a replacement to laboratory tests. However, laboratory tests will also have to be performed in order to validate the proposed computer models. This thesis illustrates the prediction of the structural behaviour of Profiled Steel Sheet Dry Board (PSSDB) which is a structural composite floor system constructed of Bondek II (profiled steel sheeting), Cemboard (dry board) connected via Power Drive DX14 (self drilling, self tapping screws). The floor structure is loaded with a uniformly distributed loading and its behaviour due to the openings at the center of the panel analysed using a finite element perangkat lunak package, LUSAS-FE. The one-way spanning plate have been analysed in this research. The increase in deflection in the longitudinal direction is found to be more influenced by the presence of the opening than the deflection in the transverse direction. The average percentage of the increase in deflection of the one-way spanning plate due to the presence of 20%, 40%, and 60% opening of its overall width are 36%, 108%, and 184% respectively in comparison to the deflection of plate without opening. It has been found that as the size of opening increases, the deflection also increased.

Abstract

The analysis of a 2-dimensional truss structure (plane truss) can be done using the matrix method with the stiffness matrix formula to obtain the internal forces that occur. The stiffness matrix method can be easily described with the PTC Mathcad application. With this PTC Mathcad application, the stages in the matrix method analysis can be clearly seen, starting from the stages of the matrix method, namely creating a truss model, creating a local stiffness matrix, creating a transformation matrix, creating a global stiffness matrix, compiling a structural stiffness matrix, stacking partitions and re-arrangement of structural stiffness matrices, calculating displacement in local and global coordinates, calculating the forces in each rod and calculating the reaction force of the platform. The purpose of this research is to create a simple program using the PTC Mathcad programming language to analyze the 2-dimensional truss and compare the results of the simple programming with the results of the SAP2000 analysis. The comparison results obtained on the joint displacement / displacement value and the bar force value between the PTC Mathcad application and SAP2000 obtained an average result below 2%. For the analysis of the reaction to the pedestal, the analysis using PTC Mathcad is the same as the SAP2000 analysis for the vertical reaction and for the horizontal direction, the SAP2000 application gets the result of 1.25x10-13 while in PTC Mathcad there is none.

Abstract

Concrete is one of the building structural elements consisting of a mixture of aggregate as a filler and cement paste as a binder. Improving the quality of the concrete mixture will produce concrete with high or maximum compressive strength. Many people think and assume that the more cement used in a concrete mix, the quality/strength will increase. Actually, this assumption is not completely wrong and not completely correct and here the author will try to examine whether adding a lot of cement will improve the quality of the concrete and see the effect of temperature on the quality of the concrete mixture. Variations in adding cement from 450 kg, 500 kg, and 550 kg showed an increase in concrete quality, with compressive strength values of 34.19 MPa, 37.40MPa, and 42.01MPa, while variations in adding 600kg cement experienced a decrease in concrete quality. With a compressive strength value of 41.16MPa. From this research, adding cement does not always improve the quality of concrete. Variations in adding cement of 450kg, 500kg, 550kg and 600kg during morning mixing with a mixing temperature of 24°C with compressive strength values of 33.22 MPa, 37.3MPa, 40.51MPa and 44.69MPa, show increasing quality values. Meanwhile, during the afternoon mixing time with a mixing temperature of 32℃, variations in the addition of 450kg, 500kg and 550kg cement showed that the compressive strength results continued to increase, namely with compressive strength values of 34.19MPa, 37.40MPa and 42.01MPa. Meanwhile, by adding 600 kg of cement variation, the compressive strength value was found to be 41.16MPa, where the concrete experienced a decrease in the compressive strength value. So it can be concluded that mixing the concrete mixture in the morning with a mix temperature of 24℃ is better than in the afternoon with a mix temperature of 32℃
