Abstract

The coastal area of Rupat Island has a high level of vulnerability to abrasion and sea waves, requiring coastal protection structures in the form of revetments to protect the shoreline area. Along with the increasing age of the structures, the physical condition and function of the revetments have deteriorated due to the continuous influence of waves and sea currents. This study aims to identify the performance index of coastal revetment structures on Rupat Island based on the Guidelines for Operation and Maintenance of Coastal Protection Structures SE No. 01/SE/M/2011. The research was conducted through inventory surveys, monitoring, and evaluation of the physical condition of the structures in several villages on Rupat Island. The performance index assessment was carried out based on the condition of structural components, including the crest, outer slope, outer foundation, outer mattress, and armor layer, using weighting values according to the revetment structure type. The results showed that the condition of the revetments on Rupat Island varied from good, fairly good, requiring repair, to heavily damaged categories. The highest index value was found in RV Segment 1A with a value of 3.80, categorized as heavily damaged, while most other segments were classified as fairly good with index values ranging from 1.90 to 2.50. Several segments, such as RV Segments 2E–2J, 6K–6L, 10Q–10AD, and 11C–11J, were categorized as requiring repair due to structural deterioration. The most dominant damage occurred in the armor and outer mattress components due to continuous wave and sea current action. Based on the evaluation results, routine maintenance, rehabilitation, and priority handling are required for segments with high damage levels to maintain the optimal function of coastal protection structures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Eggshell Powder (ESP) as a partial cement replacement on the fresh properties and compressive strength of mortar. The mixtures consisted of a control mortar (S100), mortar with 10% ESP replacement (S90C10), and mortar with 20% ESP replacement (S80C20). The tests conducted included material characterization using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), Flow Table Test, Vicat Needle Test, and compressive strength tests at curing ages of 3, 7, and 28 days. The XRD and XRF results indicated that eggshell powder was predominantly composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) in the form of calcite. The Flow Table Test results showed that the addition of ESP reduced the flowability of the mortar. The Vicat Needle Test demonstrated that increasing ESP content prolonged both the initial and final setting times. In terms of compressive strength, the S90C10 mixture achieved the highest value at 28 days, reaching 36.80 MPa, which was higher than the control mortar at 34.40 MPa. The results indicate that a 10% ESP replacement level is the optimum proportion, as it enhances mortar compressive strength despite reducing workability and increasing setting time

Abstract

Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport serves as the main gateway to Pekanbaru City and is planned as a primary hub airport. This study evaluates the existing airside capacity, runway–taxiway limiting factors, traffic forecast, and capacity improvement alternatives. The analysis used airside geometry data, field operational observations, annual aircraft movements, and socioeconomic data. The results show that traffic is dominated by narrow-body jets; therefore, the capacity limitation is mainly affected by the inefficient runway–taxiway configuration, which increases runway occupancy time. The existing mixed-operation capacity is 15 movements/hour, equivalent to 43,800 regular movements/year. The proposed development alternatives can increase the capacity to 30 movements/hour, equivalent to 125,925 regular movements/year.

Abstract

Samarinda City, as a buffer city for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) due to its adjacent location, continues to improve urban infrastructure such as providing and repairing pedestrian paths. However, there are still many road sections without pedestrian facilities, such as on Jl. Wahid Hasyim II, Jl. Pangeran Suryanata, and Jl. Pangeran Antasari. This research conducted a review of the performance and side friction class of road segments using the PKJI method, resulting in Jalan Wahid Hasim II with a Saturation Degree of 0.63 (LOS C) and a side friction value of 315.9 smp/hour, Jalan Pangeran Suryanata with a Saturation Degree of 1.06 (LOS F) and a side friction value of 274.7 smp/hour, and Jalan Pangeran Antasari with a Saturation Degree of 0.82 (LOS E) and a side friction value of 357.1 smp/hour. This research is expected to serve as a recommendation for the government in prioritizing the development and improvement of road performance in providing pedestrian facilities to reduce congestion and conflicts among road users, as well as to ensure comfort and safety for pedestrians.
