Abstract

The condition of disability causes multiple changes in the life of a person, putting into play different mechanisms that allow him to adapt to the new situation and learn to live with important restrictions that require an effort to realize a normalized life, in a society where there is no shortage discriminatory and differentiating attitudes, which make the process of adaptation to society more difficult, all this influences the efforts to achieve the personal improvement of the disabled and the strengthening of their resilient posture. The objective of the research is to establish the resilience and personal improvement of students with disabilities in the Universidad Técnica de Manabí. The research shows an analysis of the functional and conceptual background of the phenomenon related to motor disability and the rights of people who suffer from it to develop their social skills to obtain a profession. It addresses the concept of resilience and what is related to the ability of people with disabilities to overcome. The results obtained in the application of the SV-RES test prepared by the researchers (Saavedra & Villalta, 2008a), to the students who suffer motor disability and who are enrolled in different careers of the technical university of Manabí, are offered. Offer in tables and an analysis related to the resilience and personal improvement of said students is presented.

Abstract

As a global phenomenon, tourism sector plays a very significant role in the global economic development for the last three decades. This sector has given a very fundamental endorsement of income to many countries all over the world. This article tries to explain the concepts of sustainable development in the tourism sector which were taken from some sources and how tourism as an essential industry can be developed sustainably. It is expected that the development of sustainable tourism should be able to handle the three basic principles of ecological sustainability, social and cultural sustainability, and economic sustainability for both present and future generations. In other words, sustainable tourism development should always beneficial and give a good effect to the local communities, governments, and investors as tourism stakeholders at present days as well as in the future time.

Abstract

This study presents results obtained in applied research, involving controller boards (Arduino), at the Nove de Julho higher education institution, in the courses of Computer Science in São Paulo. In 2018, focusing mainly on the positive and negative points presented by the statistical data of the public security office. The methodology used to obtain the data was experimental research based on results obtained in the newspaper Estadão of June 25, 2017. Every hour, a house is invaded in the State of São Paulo, according to data of the Public Security Secretariat, focusing mainly in the qualitative and quantitative results, seeking greater security for homes with tilting gates, avoiding fraud and cloning of locks. Creating new automation equipment, focused on security, its assembly is more complex and more structured than the simple control boards and controls for swing gates. Thus obtaining a safer drive with a high power against fraud, since the system is mounted on top of the controller boards (Arduino), this system achieved a higher degree of reliability than conventional systems.

Abstract

The research analyzes the relationship between factors of resilience and academic performance in disabled students studying at the Technical University of Manabí. It is a correlational descriptive study conducted with a population of 88 disabled students, of which two groups were selected, one with high academic performance and the other with low performance. A questionnaire was designed and applied to determine the level of quality of life and risk factors of adolescents. Resilience was measured with the SV-RES scale created for the Latin American population.

Abstract

The budget area, of the Technical University of Manabí, has an organizational structure that is not coupled with the planning, because it has an organizational complexity according to its technical-administrative dimension, although it complies with all the organizational processes that involve the execution of the institutional budget taking into account the importance of human, material and technological resources, there are links in the budget execution program that are still weak. The research deals with the need to manage the budgetary processes, according to the activities that are planned within the Budget Area, with the objective of fulfilling the institutions priorities and strategies through the amounts assigned to its income and expenses, knowing that the budget planning and execution process is a fundamental tool to fulfill the mission and vision of Higher Education Institutions. The objective of the research is to look for alternatives that allow to solve the insufficiencies that exist in the management of the budgetary processes that affect the development of the activity, difficulties that appear both in income and in expenses; having as a result of these problems: rejections in the budgetary modifications, delays in the execution of the payment processes, actions that are fundamental for the execution of the institutional budget, which may affect the vision of the university.

Abstract

The work aims to determine the characterization of physical and motor disability and its relation to resilience in the students of the Technical University of Manabí. The paper shows an analysis of physical motor disability in students and its impact on the level of resilience. The resilience analysis was addressed terms physical and mental state of the people, as well as the process of adapting to the problems and adversities of life. The results were shown in tables and graph on the analysis of the degree of physical-motor disability of the students as well as the application of the SV-RES test prepared by the researchers Saavedra & Villalta, 2008. Based on the evaluation of 12 dimensions, which they allow to verify the situation according to three scales: high, average and low. Finally, the conclusions were offered where the objective stated in the investigation was verified.

Abstract

Sensory marketing is regarded as a new way of making an organizational profit. Less time and more school/work hours have made people pop into a fast food restaurant on a daily basis. More and more restaurants are employing stimuli of Scent, Sound, texture, vision, and taste to build stronger emotional connections with the customer and drive preference to their brand. A quick look at our environment gives one a clearer picture of these fast food restaurants and one begins to wonder why they spring up in great numbers, thus intensifying competition. This study aims at examining the relationship between human senses/ sensory cues and customer patronage. Also, it seeks to find out how fast food restaurants should apply sensory cues to enhance customer patronage. 150 regular customers of Nourisha fast food restaurant in Awka were used as respondents, and a structured questionnaire was administered to elicit the required information from the respondents. Multiple regression was used to test for the significance of the five hypothesis proposed for the study. Results showed the powerful and tremendous effect of the concept of sensory marketing which is inevitable for the success of a firm in this highly competitive market.

Abstract

The present research was intended for analyzing dimension effect of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and leadership towards employee satisfaction in the University. The objective research was the head office of Public University in Bali. It was a limited population of the civil servants whose minimal working time was one year. The number of samples in the present research was 185. The sampling technique used was stratified proportional random sampling. Data analysis was conducted by using structural equation model supported with AMOS 20.0. The results of data analysis were obtained that only dimension of empathy mastering a significant effect on satisfaction for an internal customer in the University in Bali.
