Abstract

The use of protein with low-cost, high quality, low methane, and ammonia emissions are a prerequisite as a protein source in ruminant. However, the European Commission has prohibited protein derived from fish meals for ruminant feeds. So encouraging efforts to explore the other protein sources to be most important. Most of the high protein legumes grow in tropical areas such as Indonesia and have the potential as an alternative protein source in ruminant feed, including Indigofera zollingeriana (25-27% protein content). But many browse legumes with high protein are a heterogeneous group of plants, with variable secondary metabolic content and rumen degradable protein. The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the characteristics fermentation of IZ as green protein supplement on in vitro methane, ammonia and microbial protein production. The experiment was a completely randomized design with four different level supplementation of Indigofera zollengeriana (IZ) as green protein concentrate and five replications. The treatment diets were R0; basal diet (60% forage + 40% concentrate) + 0% IZ, R1; R0 + 10% IZ, R2; R0 + 20% IZ, and R3; R0 + 30% IZ. The experiment result showed that supplemenatation of IZ was significant effects (P<0.05) to increase total gas, ammonia (N-NH3), total volatile fatty acid (TVFA), and metabolizable energy (ME) and significant effect (P<0.05) to decrease of methane and methane percentage. Supplementation IZ at a level of 10% was significantly higher for dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic matter digestibility (OMD), and microbial protein production (PPM) than diets treatment of R0, R2, and R3. The experiment concluded that Supplementation of I. zollingeriana (IZ) was able to reduce the methane gas production. Protein characteristics of IZ have easily degradable by rumen microbe showed the ammonia production was linearly increasing by 45.66% for each increasing level of IZ supplementation. Microbial protein production was higher (184.33 mg/ml) obtained of IZ supplementation up to 10% (R1). The experiment suggests doing protected protein of IZ when be used as a protein source in ruminant diets.

Abstract

Pollution prevention must be carried out in the upstream, middle and downstream parts. One of the Citarum watersheds located in the middle part is the Cirata reservoir. Pollution in the Cirata reservoir does not only originate from the reservoir environment, but also from rivers that flow into the Cirata reservoir. Cirata Reservoir besides being a Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) unit, this reservoir is also used by the community for fish farming in the Floating Net Pool (KJA) technique. This study aims to determine the most dominant pollutants contaminating the Cirata reservoir. Test of river and reservoir water quality is carried out with the help of lab tests by Labkesda. The research data was obtained by obtaining clean water quality test data from several 3 estuary points of the river flow to the Cirata reservoir and 4 centers of Cirata reservoir number of 40 samples. Data processing techniques are carried out using data mining, namely Exploratory Data Analysis. The lab parameter test results, which are compared with the Permenkes No. 32 Year 2017 standard, show that the majority of the physical and chemical quality parameters of the Citarum River which empties into the Cirata Reservoir are still within the required threshold. Most river and reservoir water samples have water quality that qualifies as clean water. Five samples (12.5%) in turbidity parameters and 1 sample (2.5%) in color samples did not qualify as clean water. This is possible because the sampling is too close to the mainland. Temperature parameters of 20 samples (50%) do not qualify as clean water is possible because of the lag time of sampling. The results of the analysis showed that the distance of pollutant sources, the amount of pollutant sources, and environmental conditions around the sampling significantly with temperature, TDS, turbidity, color, pH, nitrogen, iron, hardness, manganese, fluoride, and cyanide.

Abstract

About 10 million babies die, about 60% of these deaths should be suppressed, one of them by breastfeeding. The global facts of The Lancet Breastfeeding Series prove that exclusive breastfeeding reduces mortality due to infection by 88% in infants aged < 3 months. A total of 31.36% (82%) of 37.94% of children were sick because they did not receive exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who breastfeed babies aged > 6 months to 2 years. Sampling in this study used a total sampling technique, with a sample of 36 respondents. Data collection uses primary data which is then analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between mother's knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding with a P-Value of 0.037. There is no relationship between maternal age and exclusive breastfeeding P-Value 0.985. There is no relationship between maternal parity with exclusive breastfeeding P-Value 0.559. There is a relationship between the support of the mother's husband with exclusive breastfeeding P-Value 0.018. There is a relationship between BMI and exclusive breastfeeding with a P-Value of 0.007. Multivariate results showed that the most dominant factor influencing exclusive breastfeeding was maternal age with the results of the Wald test, P-Value 0.007. Exclusive breastfeeding best nutrition for infants 0-6 months, age is most dominant factor in exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

The learning model itself has many types, designs and forms that can be selected according to the situation, conditions, time and place of implementation of the implementation of the learning model. In fact, the use of the learning model itself tends to be an option for a teacher when teaching and learning activities take place so that the delivery of material can be more optimal, moreover the learning is held in a class that is large enough and requires facilities so that the delivery of material can be carried out properly. The psychomotor domain of most of the students in both the control and experimental classes was the same. That is, the ability to apply the message from the material presented will not necessarily succeed if it only relies on intelligence alone if it is not accompanied by better direction, apart from the intervention of the teacher in the field of study concerned so that students are better at working on practical questions better. Thus, the ability of students is not only measured by the extent to which they are able to know, understand, and absorb new sources of information from messages conveyed on the subject matter given alone. However, the benchmark of how and to what extent students will be able to apply to a problem at hand must certainly be considered again, especially in teaching and learning activities through e-learning.

Abstract

Nasopharyngeal cancer is the fourth most common cancer in Indonesia after cervical cancer, breast cancer and skin cancer. Meanwhile, nasopharyngeal cancer is a malignant tumor located in the head and neck area. Based on WHO there are 3 histological classifications of nasopharyngeal cancer, namely type I, type II, and type III, while according to the stage, nasopharyngeal cancer is divided into several stages. Symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer can be divided into four, namely eye and nerve symptoms, ear symptoms, metastases or symptoms in the neck and the last is symptoms of the nasopharynx itself. Several ways that can be used to prevent nasopharyngeal cancer are vaccinating people who have a high risk of developing nasopharyngeal cancer and quitting smoking. Meanwhile, medical and surgical treatment, diet, and activity restrictions are 3 treatments that can be done if nasopharyngeal cancer has been diagnosed.
