Abstract

Globalization is influenced by fundamentalist spirit of the market has resulted in education is not fully regarded as an effort to educate the nation and the liberation of man, but began to shift toward education as a commodity. To counteract this kind of educational model, the concepts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara education is offered as a solution to the distortions implementation of education in Indonesia today. According to Ki Hadjar Dewantara, the essence of education is to incorporate culture in the child, and put the child into the culture so that children become human beings. Educational philosophy Ki Hadjar Dewantara Among these so-called philosophy of education in which the convergence of the philosophy of progressivism about the child's natural ability to resolve the problems faced by giving the widest freedom of thought, but it also uses culture that has stood the test of time, according to essentialism, as the basic education of the child to achieve his goal. In this case Ki Hadjar Dewantara using native Indonesian culture while the values of the West are taken in accordance with the theory of selective adaptative Trikon (continuity, convergent and concentric). Three contributions of Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s educational philosophy for the Indonesian education are the application of a trilogy of leadership in education, three centers of education and the paguron system.

The phenomena of gender inequalities such as subordination discrimination and violance upon women made up feminist to change the situation conscriously. Riffat Hasan, a moslem feminist, made the effort to reconstruct a minor theological understanding of women in Moslem world's which is supposed to be the roots of gender inequalities. Abstract

The strength-ness of Damardjati Supadjar philosophical thought method is: unique, operational, and testified. Unique consist in that his thought are special and different from the other philosophers. The meaning of operational is applicable by one who ready to experience it. Testable has a meaning that someone who doing with the method, necessarily acknowledge that the method effective enough to developing the new consciousness. The weakness of the method are: style of the forwarding of ideas which sometime too vulgar (look-likes porno) and to the indigent beginner difficult to catch the substance of ideas, so that they impress the ideas less systematic. The contribution of Damardjati Supadjar method for the developing of philosophy, specially for Indonesian philosophy is to be able to offer the pattern of typical patterned thinking and attitude, representing result of cultural local genius of Java, Nusantara, Islam, And world culture.

Abstract

AbstractKnowledge and technology development has given a lot ofadvantages in the human life. In the other side, bad effects of this development also cause ignorance of spiritual life. The life has only meaning in material relation (in the extensive meaning); between material life and spiritual life, there is unbalanced. For some people, this make an emptiness in their life; their life feels tasteless and has no meaning. Finally, they return to religion to look for answers of question about the meaning of life. Svami Chinmayananda, in his study of Mandukya Upanishad, tries to answer the question by explaining the nature of reality. In this study, he reveals the nature of reality by epistemology and metaphysics perspective. The purpose of this research is giving description about consciousness concept, the nature or reality and consciousness (involves knowledge) which can bring someone to understand the reality which found in Svami Chinmayananda’s study of Mandukya Upanishad. Besides that, the researcher also did critical evaluation about epistemology and metaphysics problems which found in this study.The consciousness of the nature of reality can be a basic guide in living the life and answer problems of the meaning of life.The life which is growing more materialistic needs a balancebetween material world and spiritual world. By discriminativeknowledge (Viveka), someone will reach Turiya consciousness. This Turiya consciousness will bring someone to understand the nature of reality (Atman or Brahman); finally, he/she will understand the meaning of life. Other perspective which is offered by Svami Chinmayananda in his study of Mandukya Upanishad can function as a consideration in living this life.Keywords: Turiya, Avidya, consciousness, reality.

Abstract

When he paid close attention to dynamic of the members ofa religious community interpretation toward Pancasila, Notonagorohad an idea his compromise and philosophical point of view thatshow strongly wisdom and knowing glance deeply, namely:religiosity of Pancasila. Although he never mention this term,religiosity of Pancasila, at all, but its contain and meaning wasstrongly pictured in his thinking about three principles ofPancasila, viz.: cultural principle, religiosity principle, and affairsof state principle. Religiosity of Pancasila was not intend to thatPancasila then become “a religion” for all peoples. Religiosity ofPancasila, which was formulated from Notonagoro’s thingkiing,was a functionalizing  of spiritual principle of Pancasila.
