Abstract

Looking at the phenomenon that appears in the implementation of regional autonomy, the study sought to examine several issues, mainly related to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) and regional economic growth (Growth), such as The role and influence of local revenue (PAD) and Fund Balance (DAU, DAK, and DBHPBP) to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB). The role and influence of the PAD, DAU, PDRB, and DBHPBP on regional economic growth. This study attempted to analyze these two problems, using a panel data approach using Fixed Effect Model (FEM) and the Random Effect Model (REM), as well as data processing method using the Two-State Least Square (TSLS), the analysis period from 2005 to 2010 and object of research as much as 33 provinces. From the analysis, the obtained results are as follows: After conducting tests Hausmann (Hausrnann Test) on both models (FEM and REM) model is the best to use Fixed Effect Model (FEM) with General Least Square by White Heteroscedasticity, both for the problems first and the second one. For the first problem, obtain the relationship and influence positive and significant association between PAD, DAU and DBHPBP of PDRB, whereas DAK has a relationship and influence positive but not statistically significant of PDRB. Taken together all the independent variables (PAD, DAK, DAU and DBHPBP) contribute to changes in PDRB amounting to 97.50% and the rest of 2.50% is influenced by other variables outside the model. For the second problem, PDRB, PAD, DAU and DBHPBP all statistically significantly affect economic growth, but only variable PAD which has a relationship and a negative effect on PDRB, while the other variables have a positive relationship and influence. Donations of all these variables together on economic growth is high at 99.30% and the influence of other variables outside the model of only 0.70%.

Abstract

Deregulation packages are developed by the government with the aim to enhance the development of the banking system and the national economy. This deregulation has a certain impact on the development of the banking system, i.e on the number of banks and bank offices, the number of funds gathered from the society and credits given, which forms the positive side of deregulation. But on the other side, deregulation also has its negative side which should be taken into consideration to face the existing challenges and in order to be able to compete with other banks in the globalization era.

Abstract

Banking recapitalization policies have been going on for more than two years. On the one hand, there are signs of improvement. However, on the other hand, there are matters that have to be observed and to find a solution for. Transfer of portfolio pf bad debt from the national banking to the Indonesia Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) and exchanged it with additional capital in the form of government bonds have caused the earning capacity to be dependent on the payment of bonds interest. However, those banks which have received additional capital through the recapitalization program are now threatened by the decrease of their capital adequacy ratio (CAR) and are still not able to deliver significant contributions to support the real sector. The objective of this article is to describe Kearney’s survey about the implementation of mergers in the international banking industry. Based on Kearney’s observation will cause a significant stimulus for Indonesia's banking industry at the current time.

Abstract

The growth of the stock market in Indonesia from the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) showed quite fantastic in the last ten years after experiencing a downturn in the 2008 global financial crisis. The stock investment in the capital market is not the only type of financial investment, there is another type, namely Indonesia Bank Certificate (SBI) and money market measured by exchange rates. This study aims to find out how the SBI interest rate, exchange rate, money supply (M2) and inflation affect the JCI in the 2011-2015 periods. By using SPSS V20, it was found that in the period of SBI interest rate, exchange rate, money supply (M2) and inflation rate had no effect on the CSPI. This is due to the level of return on the capital market being greater than the SBI interest rate and exchange rate difference, while the number of transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange is still dominated by foreign investors, M2 does not affect the CSPI, and they are generally traders rather than investors, thus the inflation rate affects the company's growth was slightly ignored.
