Abstract

The economy is a fundamental human activity aimed at fulfilling the instinct to survive. As time progresses and society evolves, human needs have become increasingly complex, driving some to produce goods and offer services to meet consumer demands. The shift in the business world during the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is deeply intertwined with technology. Even the simplest businesses are now linked to technology, such as buying and selling, which often uses digital money. It opens up opportunities for digital transformation in new businesses in the digital and technology sectors, which are growing rapidly in Indonesia. This research is a field study using both primary and secondary data. The qualitative research method employed includes data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis of the data reveals the implementation of E2Log digitization in export-import goods delivery services at PT. Hansa Meyer Global Indonesia includes features that facilitate company operations, such as data analysis, inventory management, shipping routes, tracking, and payment management. The digitization of E2Log enhances revenue and profitability through resource optimization, timely decision-making, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, from an Islamic economic perspective, the use of E2Log digitization aligns with Islamic economic principles, including fairness, avoiding usury, and social responsibility.

Abstract

GRDP in Lampung province is still experiencing fluctuations, which has increased from 2013-2019. Then, in 2020 GRDP will decrease and will increase again in 2021-2022. The research method used is quantitative. The data source used in compiling this research is secondary data in the form of a time series, which was processed using EViews 10. Data obtained from BPS Lampung province includes data on the rupiah exchange rate, the value of CPO exports and the GRDP of Lampung province in 2013-2022. The results showed that partially, the rupiah exchange rate variable had a positive and significant effect on the GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022, and the CPO export value variable had no significant effect on the GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022. Meanwhile, the f (simultaneous) test shows that the rupiah exchange rate and the value of CPO exports jointly affected GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022. GRDP, in the perspective of Islamic economics, will affect tax revenues by increasing waqf, zakat, alms and other income taxes which will have a good impact because increasing regional revenue is expected to increase welfare and economic growth.

Abstract

This study examines the development of multi-contract and parallel transaction models in Islamic financial institutions, focusing on the concept of hybrid contracts. As Islamic banking faces increasingly complex challenges, there is a growing need for innovative products that comply with Shariah principles while meeting modern business demands. The research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to explore the theoretical foundations, practical applications, and regulatory considerations of multicontracts in Islamic finance. The study identifies various models of hybrid contracts, including murabahah, musyarakah mutanaqishah, and ijarah, and analyzes their implementation in Islamic banking products. It also discusses the jurisprudential debates surrounding the permissibility of multi-contracts, highlighting the conditions and limitations set by Islamic scholars. The findings reveal that while multi-contracts offer solutions for product innovation in Islamic finance, their application must be carefully structured to avoid prohibited elements such as riba and gharar. The study concludes that the development of multi-contract models requires a balance between financial innovation and adherence to Shariah principles. This research contributes to the understanding of complex Islamic financial instruments and provides insights for practitioners, regulators, and researchers in the field of Islamic banking and finance.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of production costs and promotional expenses on corporate profitability through an Islamic economic lens, using PT Mustika Ratu Tbk as a case study from 2015 to 2022. Through a quantitative approach utilizing causal associative analysis, the research analyzes quarterly financial statements (n=32) obtained through purposive sampling. The findings reveal that neither production costs nor promotional expenses significantly influence net profit, either partially or simultaneously. Production costs showed no significant effect (p=0.606 > 0.05), suggesting that standard-compliant production spending does not proportionally correlate with profitability. Similarly, promotional expenses demonstrated no significant impact (p=0.318 > 0.05), indicating that marketing expenditure may be secondary to other factors, such as product quality, in driving profitability. The coefficient of determination (R²=0.072) suggests that these variables account for only 7.2% of profit variation, with 92.8% attributed to external factors. This research contributes to understanding cost management in Islamic business contexts and provides insights for optimizing resource allocation in Indonesia's cosmetics industry. The findings offer practical implications for corporate financial strategy while maintaining alignment with Islamic economic principles.

Abstract

This study examines the intersection of Islamic economic principles and circular economy concepts in waste management through an innovative case study of the Palakka Health Hope Community Self-Help Group (KSM). Using a qualitative descriptive approach enhanced by NVivo 12 software analysis, we conducted in-depth interviews with ten key stakeholders, including government officials, community members, and KSM personnel. The research reveals how KSM successfully implements circular economy principles through three key strategies: waste prevention, recycling initiatives, and cross-sector collaboration. Our analysis demonstrates that KSM's approach aligns with the Islamic concept of maslahah (public benefit) through its integration of environmental stewardship with economic development. The study identifies three fundamental Islamic economic principles - al-Ihsan (excellence), al-Kifayah (sufficiency), and al-Mas'uliyah (responsibility) - that harmonize with circular economy practices. The findings suggest that this integrated approach not only transforms waste into valuable resources but also creates sustainable employment opportunities while adhering to Islamic economic principles. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on faith-based approaches to environmental sustainability and provides practical insights for implementing religiously aligned circular economy initiatives in waste management.
