Abstract

The diversity of the student's way of thinking is a uniqueness that is owned by each student. Therefore, as part of efforts to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes is with the selection of appropriate learning models in the learning of mathematics by observing the different cognitive styles of students. This study aims to determine differences in learning outcomes of students who are taught by learning model type koopeeratif think pair share and cooperative learning model two stay two stray based cognitive styles of students of class VII SMP Negeri 5 Samarinda. The research type of research used in this study is quasi-experimental. The population of this research is student class VII 5 Samarinda 2012-2013 school year. Experimental unit of the population selected by cluster random sampling, but previously made the initial observation to determine the cognitive styles of students from 12 classes. Samples were selected grade class VIIE VIIa and then at random to determine the learning model of each class. The learning model in question is the type of learning model koopeeratif think pair share and cooperative learning model two stay two stray. While cognitive style in question is a cognitive style field independent (FI) and cognitive style field dependent (FD). Treatment in this experiment for the class 2 VIIa class taught by cooperative learning model Think Pair Share and VIIE class taught by cooperative learning model two stay two stray. Instruments used in this research is to test cognitive style GEFT and math achievement test. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis using comparative analysis and linear regression analysis ganda.Hasil this study indicate that the mathematics learning outcomes in cognitive, affective and psychomotor class VII SMP Negeri 5 Samarinda influenced by cooperative learning model and cognitive styles of students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a demonstration method in learning biology on the    subject of biodiversity at SMK Kesehatan Samarinda. This study is a qualitative research . The research subjects were students of class XI. In this case, the researcher did not act as an executor of action research. The data were collected through observation and interviews. The data of student learning outcomes were obtained through tests and then they were analyzed up to getting the conclusion. The data analysis were used to obtain: (1) the implementation of learning through development of demonstration method application, (2) development of accurate demonstration methods  (3) student learning outcomes through the implementation of demonstration method development. The research results showed that: (1) The implementation of demonstration method development can help teachers to manage the classroom and to develop a method of learning itself, so that it becomes fun and teaching materials are more easily understood by the student, (2) The implementation of demonstration method development is able to improve  students’  learning outcomes which were indicated with an improvement in the number of students who experience learning comprehensivess of the implementation of the new demonstration method development phase I and phase II, (3) the development of demonstration methods is more effective  if it is conducted outside the classroom.  Thus, the implementation of demonstration method development is  effective to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Motivation and self efficacy closely related with wilness of student to study and having good result in studying. The study learning mode that could spur motivation & self efficacy is inquiry learning mode. This research is suppose to: (1) Determine relation between motivation and study result by using inquiry learning mode. (2) Determine relation between self efficacy and study result by using inquiry learning mode. (3) Determine relation between motivation and self efficacy with study result by using inquiry learning mode.This research was being held at SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda in 2014/2015 academic year by using associative quantitative method. This research sample determinated by purposive sampling technique. The amount of samples were 32 students of XI IPA 1 class as research samples. The Analysis result shows that the average percentation of motivation overall is 72,96%. The Analysis result shows that the average percentation of self efficacy overall is 77,27%. Motivation and study result  has middle degree correlation (0,495), self efficacy and study result has middle degree correlation (0,501), and also relation between motivation and self efficacy with study result has middle correlation degree (0,537). The significance statistic result of biserial correlation by using F test is 5,267. It means that Ftest= 5,267> Ftable=3,33.  This result means that motivation and self efficacy have positive relation, with the expected result these two factors could work together in studentselves to helping them to get the good result in study. Keywords:Motivation, Self Efficacy, Study Result, Inqiury

Abstract

This research was to find (1) influence of social network by a motivation on student’s achievement in computer and management information subject (2) the influence of school environment by a motivation on student’s achievement in computer and management information subject (3) the influence of motivation on student’s achievement in computer and management information subject (4) the influence of social network and school environment by a motivation which was involved with student’s achievement on Computer and Management Information subject. The research was held on vocational high school in North Samarinda. The respondents research were from the sample of students is 100 students. Data collecting technique used assessment scale and student’s achievement on computer and management information subject. Data analysis technique were used path analysis. Data were analyzed by using SPSS. The researcher found that (1) there was influence between social network (X1) by a motivation (X3) on student achievement (Y) the presentage is 34,9% ρx3x1 value it had significant relationship. (2) there was influence between school environment (X2) by a motivation (X3) on student achievement (Y) the presentage is 35,4% ρx3x2 value it had significant relationship. (3) there was influence between a motivation (X3) on student achievement (Y) the presentage is 22,5% ρx3 value it had significant relationship. (4) there was influence between of social network and school environment by a motivation  with student’s achievement on Computer and Management Information subject the presentage is 85% R-square value and it had significant relationship. Based on the calculation and analysis can be made the conclusion, there is influence between of social network and school environment by a motivation had strong effect on the student’ achievement on Computer and Management Information subject on vocational high school in North Samarinda.  Keywords: Social Network, School Environment, Motivation, Student Achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the influence of parents' parenting on learning outcomes of mathematics, (2) the influence of the school environment to the learning outcomes of mathematics, (3) influence student motivation for learning outcomes mathematics, (4) the effect of parenting parents against student motivation, (5) the impact of the school environment on student motivation, (6) the effect of parents' parenting on learning outcomes mathematics through motivation, (7) the impact of the school environment terhadapa result of learning mathematics through motivation, (8) the effect of parenting old, sekoah environment and motivation towards mathematics learning outcomes.This research is a quantitative research using cross sectional survey correlation. This study was conducted in March-May 2014. The study population was the students of class X SMK District of North Samarinda totaling 1,131 students with a sample size of 92 respondents and sampling using random sampling siple. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire with data analysis techniques using path analysis (path analysis).The results of this study show that the first effect of parenting parents on learning outcomes of mathematics at 24.9%, the influence of the school environment on learning outcomes of the mathematics of 22.4%, a third influence students' motivation to learn math result by 21, 5%, the fourth influence parenting parents on the students motivation of 24.6%, the fifth school environment influence on the students motivation of 30.1%, the sixth parenting parents influence the learning outcomes of mathematics through the motivation of 53%, the seventh environmental influences schools the mathematics learning outcomes through motivation by 65% and eighth influence parenting parents, school environment and motivation to learn mathematics results by 48.3%.Keywords: Parenting Parents, School Environment, Learning Outcomes Mathematics, Motivation.

Abstract

Based on research show that teachers are gradually learning activities in class. The class action research has largely been to apply the ethods of problem solving. It can be seen from the observations using the observation sheet,in each cyle of their research efforts of teachers to correct the deficiencies that occur mainly in the first cycle and the second cycle.The ability of teacher to apply problem solving method in teaching is requirement that must be met in an effort to create teaching and leraningproblem in accordance with the teaching plan and train students to think critically.The best way for learning to master,understand and have the skills to apply methods of problem solving in the learning process. The key must be mastered before teaching skills, questioning skills, present tip of, holding a variation, explain the opening and closing lessons, guided,small group discussions, manage the classroom, small group, individual and surveillance of learning resources.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the implementation  base of active, creative and effective learning model on Islamic education subject through some aspects (1) context which covers policy, need, purpose, implementation target, and the PAKEM model development at the senior high level of Lazuardi Global Islamic School Depok (2) input which covers teacher, student, supporting facility and curriculum (3) process which covers the implementation process of PAKEM model (4) product which covers the changing of student’s behaviour, the students’ satisfaction on class learning process, the score of written test and the student’s practice result on Islamic education subject at the senior high level of Lazuardi Global Islamic School, Depok This research is an evaluative research. The instruments used for this research are as follow: (1) document study (2) structured interview (3) observation (4) questionnaire for students and teachers.The result of this research shows that the implementation of active, creative, effective and fun  learning model on Islamic education subject at the senior high level of Lazuardi Global Islamic School, Depok based on context, input and process  evaluation has met a demand of standard reference on government’s regulation number 19 year 2005 regarding the national education standard on article 19. Whereas on product evaluation, specifically on the column part of  students’ final assessment used by the school, it needs a revision related to the cognitive and affective  precentage score. Affective aspect should  have higher percentage since this final assessment is concerned with one of the student’s  satisfaction aspect toward the success gained on Islamic education subject. Besides, the main purpose of Islamic education subject is to set – up noble character on students as a standard reference present in goverment regulation number 19 article 26 subsection 2 concerning graduate competence standard which not only emphasize on intellectual and science aspect but also on the shaping of personality and nobel character on students.

Abstract

The existence and role of boarding schools in the areas of social life of society, required serious attention. Appropriate management and the provision and improvement of human resources in the field of management. The imbalance between the large boarding schools and small schools are so clearly expressed in managing schools. The management a constraint in boarding activities. Management is a real process that starts from planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring conducted to determine or resolve targets by using people and other resources. This research is qualitative research by descriptive analysis. This research is used to dig deeper into the information. With this research model, researchers can formulate the problem in greater detail. So that the researchers used a qualitative approach the an in-depth interview observation.The conclusion from the results of this study are: First, the management programs of Darul Ihsan  Samarinda Islamic Boarding School goes well; second, inadequate support facilities at boarding school and the difference with the National Education curriculum schedule is a constraint that encountered in implementing management programs at the Darul Ihsan  Samarinda Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

Over the era of globalization and increasing competition in the world of education today Leadership Principal has an important role in the realization of labor discipline good teacher. Principal should pay more attention to discipline teachers' work because this is one issue that is never-ending. Principals must have leadership that is firmly against teachers who are not disciplined conduct of its work denganmemberikan sanctions should be. Decisive action is taken so that the work of teachers in accordance with existing standards, but of course so that the work can be perfect to be supported with creating an atmosphere linkungan good work, so that teachers do not feel pressured in the conduct of its work, thus there is a reciprocal relationship between the leadership and subordinate to co-exist as duties and responsibilities.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve students' motivation of SDIT Cordova Samarinda through learning implementation of multimedia. This research is a Classroom Action Research which conducted in the fourth grade elementary school of SDIT Cordova Samarinda’s students as the subject. This action research conducted in three cycles which executed on March until April 2009. The data was collected through observations, interviews, and final scores. Data analysis carried out to obtain data (1) The learning implementation of multimedia method, (2) Students response toward multimedia method, (3) Students achievement results during multimedia method. Data analyzing with qualitative data analysis model by Miles and Huberman. The steps of data analysis are data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/ verification. The results of this research show the application of multimedia method can improve the learning process and student motivation in Science. Furthermore there is a significant  improvement of students motivation. However, there are some student who can’t manage their note. so that we suggest teachers should combine the various methods and techniques including quotation to maximize the learning process and learning outcomes.Keywords: multimedia, motivation, learning process
