It means that the adolescent’s involvement in term of thought and their era’s situation are closely related to the development of the adolescence itself in the transition from childhood to adolescence. This perspective makes them to be something that is interested to be discussed. Abstract

Discussing about death has always been the most interesting issue of every religion in the world. Human fears death and do not want to die. For some people, death becomes so familiar that fear becomes daring, in some sense, they are ready to lose everything, or at least, no longer expects anything, as heroes did on the battlefield. Brhad-aranyaka Upanisad IV.3.36 has mentioned that: when this body starts to frail, whether it frails through old age or disease, just as a mango or a fig or a fruit of the Peplum tree releases itself from its bond (gets detached from its stalk), even so this person frees himself from these limbs and returns again as he came to the place from which he started back to a new life. Data was collected using desk study and analyzed using Hindu studies. The finding of this research that man as a descendant of Raja Bunu who inhabits this world will someday return to Ranying Hatalla through death. Life is temporary, as an exodus that someday will return to where we came from.  Just as policemen, magistrates, chariot-drivers, leaders of the village gathered round for king’s departure, or as breaths gather round at the end, when a person starts breathing difficultly or when he is about to die, that is when death is a way of ‘freedom‘ to the eternity.

Abstract

Harmony is a state where there is mutual understanding, unity, cooperation, peace and friendship among members who live together for a purpose of nation and state. In addition it can also mean that harmony is a state that reflects mutual understanding and agreement among members so as to create peace and harmony. Religious harmony is not the religious teachings blend in the sense of mixing up the religious teachings, but the harmony between different religious faiths. Religious harmony can be realized if there is a tolerance among believers of different faiths. The attitude of tolerance is no other way by controlling yourself in attitude toward others, so that others do not feel harmed or threatened. The attitude of self-control is of course not just coming from one party. This should be done by every believer of different religions.

Abstract

The prominent characteristic of the pre-modern and modern philosophical discourse in the archipelago is generalized to that of the spiritualism with the saivistic discourse; including a Balinese modern philosophical text entitled Aji Sangkya. However, the title of the text shows diachronic relationship with the Samkhya Dharsana the so-called Indian (Hindu) materialism with its jargon ‘evolution’. The tension between the discourse of spiritualism and materialism in the text is the main concern of the article based on its stylistic representations. The contextual stylistics and the deconstruction approach provide great opportunities to the Aji Sangkya to be interpreted as well as contextualized. Having elaborated the data, it is found that the text implies the process of materialization of the spirit (purusha or atman) into the circle of material (pradhana), until finally becoming material itself. Nonetheless, this materialization cannot merely be understood as the process with the ultimate goal of materialism, but implicitly of humanization since the human (manusa) comes as the ultimate accumulation of all the philosophical categories. The term related to the materialization must be taken as the process of humanization or making the spirit humanized; the humanism take the middle position between the spiritualism and the materialism in Aji Sangkya, the so-called Balinese Hindu modern text of philosophy.
