Abstract

This research is held based on the fact especially at Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya there are students who choose college while working in order to continue higher education. Students who are college while working and college students who are just college (not working) in this case have the same goal of successful lectures. Self regulation learning can play a role in achievement. But in the process of achievement, students will face problems in achievement, such as expectations of low expectations of success, avoidance of failure, task delays, too perfectionistic tasks, high anxiety, and apathy toward learning at university. The purpose of this study is to determine the general picture and the difference of self-regulated learning on students who work with students who are not working FKIP Umtas students. The approach used in this research is quantitative approach with descriptive method. The sampling technique used purposive non probability sampling. The instruments used were collected through a questionnaire. The result of the research shows that General Regulated Learning of FKIP UMTAS students is in the high category with the percentage of 79.60% of the population. Based on the data analysis results obtained significance value of 0.800, more than the significance level of 0.05 then Ho accepted. This means there is no difference between working with the unemployed. This means that students who work have Self Regulated Learning that is not different from students who do not work.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze cultural intelligence in the problem-solving process with a focus on the study of the role of cultural intelligence for counselors and counselors in counseling services. Intensive literature review of the role of cultural intelligence in counseling services is a research methodology of this paper. Therefore, this paper is expected to contribute to the development of science in the field of problem-solving assistance services, especially cross-cultural counseling services. This paper is expected to be one of the treasures of multicultural competence development in the implementation of problem solving assistance services.

Abstract

Learning difficulty is a barrier in a learning process which is faced by students so he/she cannot achieve academical achievement that he/she wants, Meanwhile social interaction is a mutual relationship process or interaction between 2 or more individuals which affect each other as individual developmental step in social situation in anywhere they live. This study was conducted to obtain how much the frequency distribution of learning difficulties and social interaction and also the students individual description who have learning difficulties and social interaction problems. Participants amounted to 217 students of 11th graders in SMA Negeri 15 Bandung. The research method used for data collection is descriptive analysis. The instrument used is a closed questionnaire using the Guttman scale with a choice of Yes or No answers. The results of this study revealed that learning difficulties students 11th graders in SMAN 15 Bandung are in the low category. Meanwhile their level of social interaction is high category. Six students are also found having both learning and social interaction difficulties with different symptoms.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in discipline of learning santri through guidance and counseling. The scope of the study refers to: obedience at the time of entrance of activities, obedience and compliance to the rules in the pesantren, completing the tasks of teachers in boarding schools, coaching sanctions for those who violate. The research method using Descriptive Qualitative Research, with data collection techniques in the form of observation and interview. The subjects of the study were santri in Pondok Pesantren Al-Hadi Min Ahlisunnah Wal Jamaah Pekalongan. The results showed that the discipline of learning santri low, so that the boarding school pesantren impose a system of punishment on students who are not disciplined. Students feel bound by the rules but do not implement and comply with the rules that apply in the boarding school. Through the role of boarding school board members in providing guidance and counseling services using behavioral approach, able to improve the discipline of learning santri.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the intensity of parents guidance with speaking ethic among adolescents.. This research was conducted at Madrasah TsanawiyahAlbidayah. The research design used is correlational research. The population in this study each of 162 people from students and parents with a sample of each 40 people from students and parents. Data collection techniques were conducted using a questionnaire. The correlation coefficient found was 0.421 at the medium category. So there is a moderate level of correlation between the intensity of parents guidance with speaking ethic among adolescents. The significance value (0.007) <0.05, which means there is a significant relationship between the intensity of guidance that parents do with speaking ethic among adolescents. The determinant coefficient is 0.422 = 0.1764. This can be interpreted that the influence of the intensity of guidance that parents do to speaking ethic among adolescents = 17.64%, and the remaining 82.36% determined by other factors beyond the intensity of guidance by parents. Based on the results, the authors suggest to parents to improve guidance activities to children by providing good examples. School must have guidance programs that involve parents in the process.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling in Indonesia has been established since the 1970s. Despite all the obstacles in it’s aplication, guidance and counseling continuously to develop. Since that counselor profession has taken a role in order to serve optimizing the potency of the counselee. Along with the globalization, the role of the counselor becomes increasingly important, in conjunction with the problems faced by the counselor. Goverment through professional organization have develop a standardized guideline to meet the inherent expectations of the counselor profession. Through this article the authors try to describing an overview of the responsibilities that should met by the counselor in various settings as an effort to maintain and improvethe counselee wellbeing

Abstract

The strength of character and virtue become an important goal for individual personal development. The strength of character and virtue influence each other. Virtue can have many different strengths of character, the more a person has the character of every virtue, then the individual can be said to have a good character. In counseling and guidance services also have clear goals to help develop optimally the potential of learners who are characterized, so that in every counseling oriented so that learners can develop the potential that exists in him, succeeded in accordance with his ability and become a happy individual
