Abstract

Biometric security system can recognize its user more precisely than password-based security systems. The biometrics have characteristics like not easily lost, can’t be forgotten, and not easily counterfeited because its existence inherent in human beings. There are several different types of security by using biometric technologies including fingerprint recognition, eye retina, and facial structure. In this study, the authors have developed a face recognition into real-time security system for the entrance. This research uses a webcam to capture the image of the user’s face and then compared with the face that stored in the database. Generally, there are two methods used by the author which is HaarCascade method for face detection and PCA or Eigenface method for face recognition. Experiments were done using 150 training data and 150 test data. In this system, 30 cm were used as parameters of distance to measure the accuracy. The results showed overall recognition success rate of 83.33%. This system is designed to work in real-time with the hope to make it easier for the user and can minimize criminal act in the future.

Abstract

This day, human life is always associated with the data, where the data is created and sent each second worldwide. This causes the data in the network increases massive (massive). Hence the need for data management is increasing. One important part of data management is the process of finding information desired by a user or commonly referred to as information retrieval (information retrieval). The main purpose of information retrieval is to rediscover documents containing information relevant to the query that is fed by the user. There have been many proposed methods for information retrieval. But of the technique still has problems related to the speed and accuracy of searches. In this thesis, the authors propose the best methods of information retrieval in search of big data. Problems arise when the process of seeking information. This is due to big data is dominated by unstructured data. Unstructured data have properties difficult to organize. Therefore, we need a special technique to ov ercome. One solution to overcome these problems is to add clustering in indexing information. This study used a clustering method using k-means clustering. Based on the experimental results using k-means clustering obtained average value of 0.8 precision recall the average value of 0.741, and the average value of 0579 seconds of computing time.

Abstract

Tractor is tool help in horticultural effort that helps farmers, to soften work that is done in process losen earth for agricultural farm. Method that at utilizes is morphological by use of software solid work, two charges that at accepts by hand's frame bulldozes consisting of machine which lie at frontage (21Kg) and pulley’s system (9Kg). For it to usufruct from this research is on charges 210N stress's zooms is contemned with point 21.4 N/mm2, and beginning part strikes stress's impact by assesses 8.212 N/mm2, stress's appreciative zoom supreme with point 12.318 N/mm2, and on charges examination 90N stress's zooms is contemned with point 14.2 N/mm2, and beginning part strikes stress's impact by assesses 2.731 N/mm2, stress's appreciative zoom supreme with point 4.096 N/mm2.

Abstract

barium heksaferit widely used as a magnetic material. The higher mechanical strength of the material, it will result the better application. This experiment aims to determine the effect of adding silica composition and sintering temperature on barium hexaferrit matrix composites against mechanical properties. Barium hexaferrit material was ball milled so that the size of the powder can be ≤ 74μm. The obtained Barium hexaferrite powder is then mixed with a silica composition of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%. The mixture was then pressed with pressure 23 Mpa to shape the hardness, bending and impact test specimens. The green body was then sintered at 1000oC, 1100oC and 1200oC temperature for 3 hours with air environment. Composites already made and then tested with density test, bending test, impact test and microstructure test. Best mechanical properties obtained on the composition of SiO2 1 wt.% And the sintering temperature 1100oC.

Abstract

Balancing robot is in the form of a wheeled robot that has two wheels on the right and left, the robot must be able to maintain a balance. In order to maintain the maximum balance there are many methods that will be used to determine good control optimization to obtain the value of a good response sensor with the motor reactions . At this balancing robot using the method Fuzzylogic with input accellerometer and gyroscope. To get a good response without noise accellerometer use KalmanFilter. The results obtained robot can balance itself with a success rate of 90% and a robot can balance itself despite being disturbed by even encouraged.

Abstract

Shape and size is influence by molding and batter separate. This research is to find the influence of velocity to results statistically. Research of the velocity influence is to know about is the mass and volume that produced in meatballs molding machine with Vertical Meatballs Machine can be different. The testing velocity at 50, 60, 80, 90, dan 100 rpm. To calculate velocity (rpm) that ideal, the data is calculate using deviation standard equation (deviation value) from data of mass and volume. Ini mass testing of meatballs, the highest value is velocity at 50 rpm that is 36,4 grams, whereas the lowest value is velocity at 100 rpm that is 19,4 grams. Ini volume testing of meatballs, the highest value is velocity at 50 rpm that is 39 ml, whereas the lowest value is velocity at 100 rpm that is 20 grams. According to the deviation standard equation in testing mass, the velocity in 60 rpm is the most ideal velocity because it is 0,84 as the lowest deviation .

Abstract

Tonnage of Coal Stockpile can be decided by three aspect, there are from weighting, bardging and surveying. Tonnage measuring of coal stockpile with RTK Radio GNSS can be applied for surveying aspect. In the stockpile survey with RTK Radio GNSS, that implementation must be fast and accurate. Automatic measuring is one method of data acquisition for the best solution of efficiency. The purpose of this research is to inspect about data quality concerning DTM and accuration of tonnage calculations from RTK survey with two different met hods of data acquisition, there are Point to Point (manual measuring) and Auto Topo (automatic measuring). This research have held in Stockpile of CPP Buhut and Paringlahung (PT. TOP) in Central Borneo. The measuring methods of tonnage calculations from RTK Radio GNSS Survey with Point to point (May 2012) and Auto Topo (September 2013) data acquisitions. The volume calculated by cut and fill method from the DTM model of RTK Radio GNSS Surveying, then tonnage calculated by multiple of volume and coal density . After that, data analysis conducted by comparing tonnage data from surveying and weighting in each data acquisitions methods. The comparison result must be reference from the spesifications of ASTM’s standard, that tolerance is 2.95%. The result of tonnage survey calculations with Point to Point and Auto Topo data acquisition in CPP Buhut and Paringlahung has differences concerning tonnage from weighting, there are 1.04% in CPP Buhut and 1,07% in Paringlahung with Point to Point data acquisition, and also -1.14% and -1.16% in the same location with Auto Topo. That result indicated indeed both of them data acquisition methods fulfil ASTM requirements. In this conclusion, RTK Radio GNSS methods with Point to Point and Auto Topo data acquisition are indicating reached spesification in stockpile survey.

Abstract

When taking a photograph, the camera then adjusts how much light comes in through the DSLR camera lens. The exposure point on the automatic setting is not only determined by the aperture, ISO and shutter speed point alone, but also influenced by the object's response to light, and the distance of camera to the object, the use of certain filter on the camera lens as well as the type and intensity of the light source during the shooting process. This research was conducted by using experimental study. Data collection method used is observation of 10 basic colors. Those colors evenly represent the composition of the RGB and CMYK. Technique of data analysis is correlation. The study resulted the composition of Red, Green and Blue contributed a great influence to shutter speed. Meanwhile, it was found that Red, Green and Blue influence very small to aperture and ISO value wiss constant (there is no influence).

Abstract

Unmanned surveillance vessels on operational conditions required to move quickly and to maneuver skillfully. The steering system is one of the mechanical devices used to determine and to able the vessel maneuvering and directed to a specific location or destination. Some things that affect agility maneuver the vessel on the water surface is form of the hull and rudder conformity with the shape of hull. Leaves the wheel is not suitable for a particular vessel size provide an enormous influence on the vessel at the time of sailing. This study aims to model the optimal steering system according to the shape of unmanned surveillance’s hull so as to support the operation of the vessel's performance. An advanced approach to the design of the model is divided three stage process, i.e: concept design, initial design and detailed design.

Abstract

Spatial scalability is a coding method that provides two or more layers in scalable coding process while SNR scalability is a scalability that use more than one layer in scalable coding process. In this method that should be noted are the Base Layer and Enhancement Layer in the resulting graphs. Base layer is obtained by lowering the resolution of the video frame, on the other hand the enhancement layer have to be done the encoding process is quite complex to get video frame quality better.
