Abstract

The problem faced by Jatimalang village farmers in increasing agricultural production is the problem of fertilizer. Fertilizerneeds is going to increase, while subsidized fertilizer by the government is limited and the price is expensive, so the farmers' income just a little. The use of organic fertilizer is an alternative to overcome the problem of fertilizer. The purpose of technological dissemination in Jatimalang , Arjosari , Pacitan is to solve the problem of farmers fertilizerneeds by processing the remaining agricultural materials (straw and other leaves) and animal waste into organic fertilizer. Processing of organic fertilizer by farmer group Lestari II still manual and cannot fulfill requirement of fertilizer. Dissemination technology of organic fertilizer processing machine consists of compost machine, sieving machine, and granulator. Utilization of appropriate technology is expected to improve the living standard of farmers in Jatimalang village. The processing of agricultural waste materials and animal waste into organic fertilizer by using fertilizer processing machine (granulator, enumerator and sifter, and stirrer) through the dissemination program of technology products to the community that carried out this resulted in an organic fertilizer that is beneficial to farmer group Lestari II, and some people in Jatimalang village. The product produce two kinds of fertilizer ie compost and solid organic fertilizer packed in sacks. Production of fertilizers using granulator equipment, enumerators and sieves, and stirrer can improve the productivity of fertilizer that has been done with a simple machine. The quantity of production increases, and the quality of the fertilizer yield is also increased as it is processed with a granulator that produces droplets of fertilizer which are easy to use.

Abstract

Mangrove was found in Pantai Beting, Muaragembong sub-district, Bekasi, West Java. However, not many people there maximize the potential of natural mangrove to be processed into a product of economic value. By relying on the abundant potential of mangrove pidada, women in Pantai Beting need to be empowered. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to provide (1) making of pidada’s dodol production, packaging, and marketing of its business; (2) post-training evaluation and monitoring. The subject of this activity is 22 women who live in Pulau Beting. The method used is the practise of making dodol by local facilitator. In addition, we used lecture, discussion, and demonstration methods are used to provide packaging and marketing training. Evaluation and monitoring are delivered by interview and FGD methods by focusing on the marketing mix, ie product, price, place, and promotion. This activity produces different lunkhead products than before. Differences include the level of cleanliness, dodol shape, and its packaging. The price also has been adjusted. The place of marketing is still done by the producer or through the acquaintance of  market. Promotion is not just word of mouth (WOM), but has been up to marketing online though intermediaries by someone.

Abstract

The formal housing expansion by private property developers in Tangerang District has the potential to generate "urban void" due to the degradation of the quality of local informal settlements into slums. Between the rich and the poor do not have shared space, to meet and to communicate, but instead hindered by the construction of a concrete wall separating the two sides with a lame gap. Mekarwangi Village is one of the villages in Kecamatan Cisauk, Tangerang Regency, which some part of the area will be built formal housing. To overcome the negative impact, it is necessary step in integrating it with formal housing. One of them is to plan a comperhensive settlement design, but also affordable and in accordance with the local character, and promote sustainability. Community service activities are integrated along side with research into the teaching; the course Urban Design Studio. Beside lecturers and students, this activity also involved the local residents and local agencies. The scope of this case study is in one neigborhoods of Mekarwangi Village; Kampung Cilegong. How the settlement planning and design will be suitable for Kampung Cilegong? This research uses qualitative method to get deeper problem. This study aims to find a solution for Mekarwangi Village in the future. This activity is succeeded and satisfied the citizens of Kampung Cilegong, Mekarwangi Village

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training on village government administration and village financial reporting governance in improving the capacity of village government apparatus. It is hoped that through these activities it will promote accountable and transparent village governance and give birth to village cadres who have good knowledge, attitude and skills. While the activity method used is Participatory Learning and Action. This activity is conducted by emphasizing on lecture, discussion, brainstorming conducted interactively with group members and continued with action or real activity that relevant with material of society empowerment. The results of community service activities run in accordance with predetermined plans, the community has a response and enthusiasm for training and created changes in knowledge, attitudes and skills.

Abstract

Accidents can occur anywhere including railroad crossings that are the responsibility of the Transportation Department. Train crossing  on average still using the manual system so that has high potential for  accidents. The design of this tool is used to minimize accidents that occur and increase the awareness of railroad communities pass. The basic design of this tool use the  sensor so the sensor will send a signal) when the train passes. The making of the tool is converted into a system button due to the  long process of permission to the rail party. The making of this tool is in accordance with the advice of the RW Chairman and the officer of the railroad crossing. Alarms and lights will work when the button is pressed and  off according to the predefined timer.

Abstract

Mathematics has an important role as aspects of the formation of attitude. Learning mathematics through games traditionally can be used by teachers in carrying out his duty to deliver the material and help the formation of attitudes of the participants his protégé. The activities of this devotion is expected to foster a positive attitude to the students in learning and can change the way the student's point of view towards mathematical subjects. Many traditional games that can be associated with a matter of mathematics. Among them are congkak, engklek, and the bead seats. Through learning with traditional games, students are expected to be more eager to learn math materials. This outreach activity is carried out in SD Negeri Middle 05 Morning located at Jalan Pelita Kingdom RT. 003/RW. 09 Kampung Tengah, East Jakarta. Participants in the activities of the public service this is the teachers and students of SDN 05 Middle morning. The method of implementation of these activities include: observation, documentation, discussion, demonstration, and practice. Activities done with information sharing with teachers of mathematics on alternative delivery and presentation of material that is interesting and fun, one of them using traditional games media-based mathematics. After that describes the media and how to use the Groove provided and any math concepts that fit with the game. In addition to increasing the motivation of children in learning math, the benefits of traditional game among others can develop intellectual intelligence, train motor capabilities, developing emotional intelligence as well as enhance the ability socialize

Abstract

Human-crossing bridge development project in Sukatani Village, an underdeveloped area in Sukabumi Sub-district, West Java Province on 2013 was a program resulted from a collaborative work between Kementerian Negara Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal (State Ministry for Development Acceleration in Underdeveloped Regions) and Lembaga Kerjasama Fakultas Teknik Universitas Gadjah Mada (Faculty of Engineering Cooperation Agency). In this program, Dinas Bina Marga dan Tata Ruang Provinsi Jawa Barat was involved as a technical supervisor. In this project, LKFT UGM’s role and function in carrying out the values of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi were done through the implementation of a social participation model. This social participation model positioned the local community as an object of education and development. The project’s funding from Kementerian PDT was independently managed by Organisasi Masyarakat Sipil (Civil Society Organization). In managing the funding, a progress report scheme was implemented as control and education tool.  The trust that was established among involved parties allowed some kind of coaching process to support a full role from the local society in the bridge development project. Finally, the project resulted in a high quality bridge that exceeded the project’s target and initial expectation from a human crossing bridge to a car crossing bridge. This escalation was able to raise the local society’s confidence and sense of belonging towards the bridge as their own hand work. Then on the next fiscal year of 2014, the local government further improved the bridge’s quality from a car crossing bridge into a heavy vehicle crossing bridge.

Abstract

The purpose of Community Service (PPM) in KUD Tani Makmur Kasihan, among others, first: to help employees KUD Tani Makmur to understand web based promotion management, second: improve motivation and creativity KUD Tani Makmur employee that the constraints of the facilities is not a reason to learn and forward, and third:  provide an overview to employees of KUD Tani Makmur how to promote products in the virtual world so that its products can be recognized by other regions. The method used by PPM Training of Web Usage for Promotion Management Improvement at KUD Tani Makmur Kasihan, among others, held lectures and discussions, held training / workshop and evaluation. PPM Targets Web-Use Training for Promotion Management Improvement among others KUD Tani Makmur Kasihan helps employees of KUD Tani Makmur Kasihan District to be able to use the web to improve information and promotion of KUD Tani Makmur Kasihan.

Abstract

This submission activity for society is aimed to give macrame handicraft coaching by making functional productlike vase pendulum from kur rope, nylon rope and the T-shirt yarn. Beside that, forraising the entrepreneurship soul for house wives RT. 08 RW. 05 Kelurahan Cempaka Baru, Central Jakarta.The submission activity method for society is using extracurricular lecture, demonstration, and question answer in making functional product like vase pendulum. This coaching held by lecturers from Management Study Programme Faculty of Economics YARSI University and supported by University students. This activity works with RT. 08 RW. 05 Kelurahan Cempaka Baru, Central Jakarta The result of the submission activity for society is coaching of functional things making like vase pendulum. The coaching runs well. The audience is able to do and make functional things well and they are very enthusiastic to join the coaching from the beginning to the end.

Abstract

Increasing the professionalism of an educator is important. One effort that can be done to improve professionalism is the collaboration between educators. Lesson study is an activity that can facilitate educators to observe each other's learning processes. Training activities and mentoring learning studies are carried out to create a learning community for mathematics teachers. The target of this activity is the Muhammadiyah Junior High School / MTs math teacher in Bantul Regency. The target of this service activity is the educator of learning problems that can be learned in learning activities. The practice of lesson study can be done at the level of the Subject Teacher Training (MGMP). Two activities in training activities which included lecture and discussion activities, as well as mentoring activities that contained lesson lessons. This activity is successful and can provide experience for participants
