Abstract

his research is motivated by the number of cases of teenagers from day to day who lose their identity or well behave. This has many reasons for this, one of which is the absence of exemplary figures who provide example in the area where he lives.. This study aims to obtain a descriptive description of the existence of the figure of Nay Subang Larang as a Value Education among Adolescents in Subang Regency, especially in the Village of Nangerang. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach (case study). Data collection obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Participants in this study were 8 teenagers from Nangerang Village who at least had visited the Nay Subang Larang Foundation Site. The results showed that the existence of the figure and the site of Nay Subang Larang itself is quite influential in the behavior of teenagers in the village of Nangerang, although only through stories passed down from generation to generation from their parents. However, this is still considered not optimal for the development of Value Education itself for adolescents in the village of Nangerang due to many things, one of which is the lack of development and expansion of information and communication that is more regulated and documented so that it is more worthy of being used as a means of Value Education especially for adolescents and in general for the wider community.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the anxiety felt by parents and teachers at the educational process that only relies on the cognitive aspects, ignoring the affective aspects, so that it makes learning less meaningful, so that learning is meaningful, the material is not foreign to students, therefore social studies material can be taken from sources closest to students. One of the contextual learning can help students understand the various sources of learning from the student's socio-cultural environment, the teacher can start it by looking for socio-cultural values that are relevant to the themes of social studies learning. For this reason, the researcher tries to use the socio-cultural environment of students in this case the Banten Lama area as a source of learning in elementary schools so that it is hoped that children will follow and identify themselves according to the stories in the learning. The location of the primary school which is the subject of this study is the SD Laboratory of the UPI Serang Campus which is located in the city of Serang. The research method uses a qualitative research approach with the phenomenological method then the results of the research are used as teaching material in social studies learning in elementary schools by conducting a series of cycles starting from planning, implementation, observation and reflection. While the data analysis is done by means of triangulation, member check, trial audit and expert opinion, then the data that has been analyzed draw conclusions.

In its development, the Sect Of Mysticism “Perjalanan” was inseparable from its followers who at that time was in Ciparay, although initially, the followers of the Sect of Mysticism were not originally from Ciparay but people who moved from Rancakole and Cibeureum. In terms of the teachings that Mei Kartawinata passed on to his followers from the past until now, it is still the same as the original. There was a very significant development for the followers, it was when the trust column became available in the Identity Card column and there was no more discrimination regarding matters of work or marriage. Abstract

The utilisation of comics as learning media to elevate students' interest towards social science studies is not an unfamiliar phenomenon. However, based on the literature review written by the author, it is known that the existing social science comics still have shortcomings, namely, first, the content materials only cover economic-themed comics, even though social science studies at junior high school level or MTs is an integrated learning which is supposed to integrate the concepts of geography, sociology, economics and history in the learning process; and second, social science comics are less efficient in terms of cost, as it is still available in the conventional form (printed form). Hence, this study is aimed to address this gap through the transformation of existing textbooks into comic textbooks in the form of a platform called Line Webtoon as learning media for social science studies. The inquirer conducted a literature review of 43 selected articles from the year of 2016 to 2020 from Q1-Q3 and S1-S3 accredited journals, then the inquirer focused on conducting a study of the use of comics and textbooks as learning media. This study indicates that transforming textbooks into digital comics results in an excellent learning media innovation to enhance students’ motivation in the learning process of social science studies. Overall, this study provides an appropriate suggestion for further research on the effectiveness of utilising KOBUT IPS in the social studies learning process at junior high school level.
