Abstract

Abstract-This research is supported by low interpersonal intelligence of learners on IPS learning in class VIII C SMP Negeri 45 Bandung. This can be seen from the still low empathy, prosocial, low self-awareness as a member of the group, social ethics of learners, problem-solving skills and effective communication skills of learners. Seeing the problem, the researcher chose Cooperative Learning Model Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) as a solution to improve students' interpersonal intelligence. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, obstacles and solutions and increase interpersonal intelligence. The type of research used is Class Action Research (PTK) Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart which consists of four stages. Stages of planning in this study include determining SK / KD and teaching materials, preparing RPP, Student Worksheet and create research instruments according to the needs of researchers. This research was conducted in three cycles and obtained the result of improvement of students' interpersonal intelligence in IPS learning. Increased interpersonal intelligence of learners is characterized by an increase that occurs in every aspect of the assessment of interpersonal intelligence. This proves cooperative learning model type two stay two stray (TSTS) can improve students' interpersonal intelligence.Keywords: Interpersonal Intelligence, Cooperative Learning Model type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS).

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari kecemasan peneliti terhadap kondisi obyektif peserta didik di SMP Negeri 2 Tomo yang menggunakan sepeda motor sebagai alat transportasi ke sekolah. Mereka nampak belum menyadari dampak yang ditimbulkan dari penggunaan sepeda motor terhadap berbagai aspek, baik  hukum, ekonomi, sosial, keselamatan dan juga terhadap penurunan kualitas lingkungan akibat konsumsi BBM dan polusi yang dihasilkan dari sisa pembakaran BBM. Selain itu dalam pembelajaran IPS, guru belum mengaitkan materi dengan permasalahan sosial dan lingkungan yang dihadapi peserta didik dalam kehidupan nyata. Oleh karena itu, melalui materi “Kelangkaan sumber daya alam” yang disisipkan dalam Standar Kompetensi 6 “Memahami kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat” silabus IPS Kelas VII semester dua KTSP, peneliti melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas sebagai bentuk perbaikan masalah lingkungan sekolah dan peningkatan kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik dalam bertransportasi hemat BBM melalui Pembelajaran IPS Kontekstual. Desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan adalah model PTK Elliot. Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan sebanyak tiga siklus dengan  dua belas kali pertemuan, diperoleh peningkatan kompetensi kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik, baik aspek pengetahuan, sikap maupun aspek keterampilan. Data awal pada siklus kesatu menunjukkan nilai kompetensi kecerdasan ekologis berada pada kategori “kurang” dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus kedua menjadi kategori “cukup”, serta menjadi kategori “baik” pada siklus ketiga. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPS kontekstual secara efektif meningkatkan kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik dalam bertransportasi hemat BBM di kelas VII A SMP Negeri 2 dan dapat diterapkan di sekolah menengah pertama lainnya yang mempunyai karakteristik daerah serupa. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Ekologis, Transportasi Hemat BBM, Pembelajaran IPS Kontekstual.

Abstract

Abstract -Ecoliteracy comes as a solution to various environmental problems that occur. Understanding ecoliteracy should be introduced early, in order grow and development of every human being always has awareness to maintain the environment. Based on preliminary observations conducted by researchers in SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung in class VII-B, showed that the low Ecoliteracy of students, shown by the scattering of garbage in the classroom environment, students also never care for the classroom environment, school environment, or wilting plants around the school due to lack of care. Based on the observation, the researcher concludes that, it is necessary to increase the students’ ecoliteracy in the utilization of the school area. By looking at the problems occurring in class VII-B, the researcher intends to conduct classroom action research by applying the aquaponic learning model of the Social Studies learning. The research design used in this research is a Lewin cycle model according to Elliot. During the execution, this study was conducted 2 cycles, with 5 actions in each cycle consisting of an understanding of ecoliteracy, aquaponic project creation, aquaponic project maintenance, aquaponic harvesting process, accountability report, and harvesting of crops into healthy foods. Based on the results of students’ ecoliteracy research, in the utilization of school area on the cycle 1 results have shown an improvement, but the improvement is not maximal, with the average group assessment entered into the "Good" category. While in the cycle 2 experienced a significant improvement, making the percentage of group valuation to entered into the "Excellent" category. The conclusion of this research is the use of aquaponic learning model in Social Studies learning can  improve the students' ecoliteracy in the utilization of the school area. Keywords: students' ecoliteracy enhancement, aquaponic project, social studies learning

Abstract

Artikel ini memberikan pokok pembelajaran IPS yang selaras dengan perkembangan global terutama tantangan isu lingkungan hidup. Pemanfaatkan Ecocommunity (komunitas penduli lingkungan Hidup) dan Jejaring sosial (Social Networking) sebagai sumber dan media dalam pembelajaran IPS menajdi salah satu arternatif sarana yang tepat untuk mengembangkan potensi kecerdasan ekologis peserta didik dalam membangun relasi, saling kerjasama,berisnergi melaluisosial interaksi yang positif  untuk menciptakan lingkungan hidup yang baik dalam menjaga keseimbangan alam. Model pembelajaran IPS yang dikembangkan yaitu dengan mengintegrasikan pemanfaatan Komunitas Sosial, Lembaga Sosial, dan Social Networking sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran dalam Ecopedagogy. Kata Kunci. Eccocomunity, Social Networking, Kecerdasan Ekologis, Ecopedagogy lingkungan hidup, dan Model Pembelajaran IPS.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low motivation to learn social science in students class VIII. Those are based on the observation that teachers have not applied varied learning models and tend to use conventional learning method. Learning activities have not actively involved students and many tudents feel bored in social science learning. Teachers need to overcome these problems by applying creative learning model, fun and can foster students#39; learning motivation, one of them is cooperative learning model of make a match technique. This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model of make a match technique to the motivation of social science learning in students class VIII SMP Negeri 40 Bandung. The design of this study uses Nonequivalent Control Group Design with quasi experimental research method. The samples of this study are 60 students and using 2 classes,namely class VIII D as experiment class and class VIII C as control class. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 17.00 for windows.  The results showed that: First, the learning motivation of students before and after implementing cooperative learning model of make a match technique increased but still low category. Second, the students#39; learning motivation before and after implementing conventional method did not increase. Third, simultaneously learning motivation between students who learn with cooperative learning model of make a match technique is better than students who learn with conventional learning method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan peneliti pada saat melakukan observasi awal yaitu rendahnya sikap empati siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan beberapa indikasi diantaranya . Pertama, kurangnya tolong-menolong pada saat teman membutuhkan bantuan. Kedua, pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar peserta didik kurang dalam memperhatikan guru dan teman yang sedang berbicaraterkait pelajaran. Ketiga, pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar siswa terlihat  melakukan bullying terhadap teman yang cenderung pendiam di kelas. Keempat, sikap siswa yang membeda-bedakan teman berdasarkan status sosial  dan fisik  ini terlihat dari posisi tempat duduk dan interaksi siswa Kelima, sikap ketidak pedulian siswa dengan teman sekelas. Alternatif pemecahan masalah tersebut dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan metode pembelajaran role model. Meninjau permasalahan yang akan diteliti berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran, maka peneliti memilih Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis Mc. Teggart yang dilakukan dalam 3 siklus.

Abstract

The results of this research based on the sports data and students have passed entrepreurship whois learning that the interest they did not grow optimally . Found school tuition who have passedin two years to five years had not previously been many of those who seek to have their ownbusinesses . The limitation of synthesis trouble taken is the learning methods in the classroomand outside of class that is set as variable free and interest of entrepreneurship as variable bound.Research methodology used in this research is a method of quantitative research surveyeksplanasi with the approach. Data processing using analysis Pearson Product Poment andDouble Correlations. The purpose of this research is to know how big the influence of thelearning methods both inside and outside of class against interest of entrepreneurship schooltuition. From the results of this study researchers were able to give advice to the teachers field ofstudy marketing and related parties to the students interest of entrepreneurship. The conclusionof this research is the existence of a fairly significant effect of a method of learning in theclassroom and outside of the students interest of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Abstract-This research is motivated by the problems found in the early observation in class VIII-1 / Ibnu Thufail Islamic intergrated of Junior High School Fitrah Insani II related to the critical thinking ability of learners. Lack of courage of learners in answering and asking is a low critical thinking indicator in Social studies learning. Alternative problem solving chosen is the application of cooperative learning model TPS (Think-Pair-Share) type. The problem formulation in this research is "whether by applying the TPS learning model can improve the critical thinking ability of learners?". The research method used is Classroom Action Research with research design is model Kemmis and Mc Taggart covering several stages there are, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, documentation, and field notes. The critical thinking indicator developed in the study refers to the ability to provide simple explanations, build basic skills, make inferences, make further explanations, and organize strategies and techniques. The results concluded that first, the research planning is well designed by the teacher through the development of the model in accordance with the instrument made. Second, the implementation of the action is done in three cycles by distributing worksheets and video to learners for pair discussions. Third, learners experience improvement of critical thinking ability in every cycle. Fourth, the constraints that occur are time allocation, learners' understanding of learning steps, and classroom management. These constraints are resolved by improvements in each cycle. This research shows that cooperative learning model of TPS type can improve the critical thinking ability of students in social studies learning.Keywords: Critical Thinking, Cooperative Learning, TPS (Think-Pair-Share), Social Studies Learning

Abstract

Saat ini kondisi kerusakan alam di Indonesia sudah semakin memprihatinkan. Karena tidak banyak orang yang memedulikannya, kerusakan alam tersebut mencapai titik terparah hingga menyebabkan berbagai fenomena bencana. Siswa sekolah sebagai generasi muda diharapkan dapat ikut berpartisipasi dalam memperbaiki permasalahan tersebut, namun kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum memiliki kecerdasan ekologis yang memadai dalam merawat lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan ekologis siswa di Kelas 7 SMP Semi Palar Bandung. Metode penelitian menggunakan PTK dengan model spiral multi siklus dari Kemmis dan Taggart. Dari hasil analisis pencapaian level dan kompetensi kesadaran ekologis, menunjukkan bahwa melalui pengembangan topik materi bencana alam dalam pembelajaran IPS, kecerdasan ekologis siswa dalam merawat lingkungan dapat meningkat dengan optimal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini mengajak para guru agar dapat mengembangkan topik dan metode belajar yang beragam dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis siswa sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi kelas. Kata Kunci: Bencana Alam, Pembelajaran IPS, Kecerdasan Ekologis.

Abstract

This study started from the problems that the author finds in class VIII-L SMP Negeri 29 Bandung where most students have not shown the character of social care. They are less concerned about others seen from behavior, such as: lack of respect to others, and less attention to the teachers and other students. Students seem individualistic and annoy or taunt their classmates with harsh words. From these findings, the author chose to do classroom action research (PTK) with Kemmis and Taggart model. Data analysis technique is qualitative and quantitative. In this study, the author makes observation as much as three cycles. In this study,value clarification technique (VCT) learning model is chosen to guide students to understand, clarify, and implement social care values in daily life including at class. In attempt to improve the students social care character, the author selects five indicators adjusted to the problems found at class. Based on the study that has been conducted, the result is obtained that: first, the planning that has been prepared by the author works well; second, the implementation of the VCT learning model is conducted three cycles with one action in the cycles 1 and 2 and two actions in cycle 3; third, it reflects the obstacles experienced by each cycle; fourth, the results obtained after implementing the VCT model to cycle 3 show that the students social care character has increased.
