Abstract

The terminology of HIV resilience used in the definition is still ambiguous. These inconsistencies make it difficult to understand the findings related to resilience in HIV research. Analysis of the concept of the resilience of HIV patients is still limited in terms of its development to clarify its meaning. The purpose of this analysis is to identify the concepts of the resilience of HIV patients by identifying the attributes that determine the concept, antecedents, and consequences. The analysis of this concept uses the Walker and Avant method with eight steps of analysis. The results of the analysis reveal the resilience attributes of HIV patients, including the characteristics of individual resilience, self-competence, and social competence. The antecedents of the concept of the resilience of HIV patients are personal capacity as a source of individual resilience, interpersonal resilience resources, and spiritual strength. The consequences of the concept of HIV resilience include positive outcomes for people living with HIV in HIV care and psychological well-being. The concept of resilience in HIV patients is defined as a concept that depends on many factors that contribute positively to people living with HIV and this concept can be used for literature review for the development of futher research related to HIV resilience.

Abstract

Protein is one of the macronutrients needed in child growth, which can be obtained from animal and plant foodstuffs. Protein intake gets more attention because energy-protein malnutrition is more common in children under five. Protein nutrition for children must be fulfilled to prevent growth retardation in the next phase. This research aims to establish a profile of preschool children's animal and vegetable protein intake. This type of research is descriptive observational with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted at Bina Anasprasa Nuris Jember Kindergarden in March 2023. The sample in this study was preschool children aged 3-5 years, totaling 53 people who were taken by purposive sampling. Food consumption data for children was obtained using the 1x24-hour food recall method. Processing and analysis of data using univariate analysis. Preschool girls have more than boys (67.9% and 32.1%). The majority of mothers are not working/housewives (62.3%), while the majority of fathers are self-employed (45.3%). Most families have income above the 2023 Jember UMK (62.3%). Nutritional status with indicators of weight/age, height/age, weight/height of all preschool children has normal, normal, and good nutritional status (100%). Total protein intake increased slightly for boys and families whose income was above the minimum wage. Meanwhile, the intake of vegetable and animal protein sources in preschool children is similar but slightly higher in vegetable protein. Animal protein food ingredients still have high biological value because they contain all essential amino acids compared to vegetable protein. Therefore, preschoolers need to increase their consumption of animal protein food ingredients in their daily diet.

Abstract

People living with HIV (PLWH) need to maintain their health status by seeking HIV health services. However, HIV health services have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and affect antiretroviral therapy (ART) for people living with HIV. This study aimed to explore the experiences of people living with HIV in seeking HIV health services during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a qualitative research design with a descriptive phenomenological approach. Semi-structured interviews were used on eight participants with a purposive sampling technique. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis in this study. This study found three themes, namely barriers to access to HIV health services during the Covid-19 pandemic, motivation to access HIV health services as the second theme. The third theme is the adaptation of HIV health services during the Covid-19 pandemic. PLWH have challenges accessing HIV health services during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, they have the motivation to maintain their health status by following new policies during the new normal period during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Communication, information, and education related to Covid-19 and new policies in accessing HIV health services must be provided by HIV nurses. The goal of such provision is to maintain health status, prevent lost to follow-up ART, and improve the quality of life of PLWH.

Abstract

In Indonesia, 25% of deaths are caused by heart defects. 229,696 people, or about 0.13%, were heart failure patients. The main problem that occurs in heart failure is hemodynamic changes. If not treated quickly and appropriately, hemodynamic disorders will result in multiple organ failures. Back massage and deep breathing exercise is a combination of non-pharmacological interventions whose effectiveness is not yet known in improving hemodynamic disorders in CHF patients. To determine the effectiveness of the combination of back massage and deep breathing exercise on changes in the hemodynamic status of patients with congestive heart failure. This type of research is quantitative with a true experimental design, a pre-post test design, and a control group. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Data analysis used repeated measure ANOVA, Friedman test, independent t-test, and Mann Whitney. The combination of back massage and deep breathing exercise is given for 3 days with a duration of 15 minutes, effectively increasing oxygen saturation (Mean±SD 98.20±0.616 =1.05 p=0.000). Giving a combination of back massage and deep breathing exercises can improve the hemodynamic status of patients with congestive heart failure. The results of this study can be used as an alternative intervention in improving the hemodynamic status and providing other pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.

Abstract

The high rate of sexual violence against children means that children in Indonesia are at risk of becoming victims of child sexual abuse and violence. The growth and development of children is related to the condition of the family including their parents, their father and mother. One of the many health outcomes associated with maternal responsiveness is cognitive and psychosocial effects where maternal responsiveness greatly influences child development. This study to develop a community-based model for the prevention of child sexual abuse and violence with the maternal responsiveness method in realizing a healthy Jember Regency. This study used an observational analytic research design with a cross-sectional study method. The population in this study were people in Rambipuji District with families who had children who were victims of sexual violence. The sample size was calculated based on the rule of the thumb formula in SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) resulting in 118 respondents. The sample was determined by using multistage random sampling technique with the sampling stage from sub-districts to clusters or RTs. Data analysis used univariate analysis and multivariate analysis used logistic regression test. Maternal factors in the good category had an effect on responsiveness by 26,750 times compared to the factors of the bad category. Based on the results of the study, the results showed that children's factors consisting of children's health status, children's gross motor system, children's fine motor systems, children's socialization in language had an effect on preventing children from sexual violence, namely children. mentally healthy and socially healthy. The majority of respondents are 26-45 years old, highly educated, work, and Javanese. The results of multivariate analysis using logistic regression, show that there is an influence between maternal factors responsiveness and there is an influence between child factors and the avoidance of children from sexual violence.

Abstract

The bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the cause of tuberculosis (TB), which is a crucial problem in a community both nationally and globally. The development and evolution of the bacteria itself can cause an increase in cases. The active spread of TB is very easy through air that has been contaminated with the bacteria until it is inhaled by someone. The role of patients in preventing tuberculosis is necessary, along with their families and health care workers. Educational interventions that are part of independent nursing actions are one of the solutions to increase prevention and treatment success on a family and community scale. This study used primary data obtained through direct observation using a questionnaire consisting of patient demographic data, knowledge level, and level of infectious risk behavior. Sampling was done using non-probability sampling using a purposive sampling technique with inclusion criteria, namely the core family of patients diagnosed with TB, with good communication skills. Meanwhile, the exclusion criteria were patients who were not accompanied by their families for treatment, were not part of the core family of TB patients, MDR-TB patients. The number of samples in this study was 100 people. Data analysis in this study used the bivariate chi-square test. The study results on family members of TB patients were mostly male (52%) with a high level of knowledge (65%) and low-risk behavior (59%). The results of the statistical test with chi-square showed that a high level of knowledge had a number of cases of family members with a low risk of infectious behavior (Asimp.Sig 0.005 <0.05). Most respondents had a high knowledge level and a low risk of infection. In essence, a good educational process is capable of independently training a person to change their behavior and attitude for the better.

Abstract

The demand to increase the productivity of agricultural products greatly drives the use of pesticides in agricultural areas. Uncontrolled use of pesticides by farmers and non-compliance with the use of personalprotective equipment leads to long-term poisoning that can affect liver and kidney function. However, the relationship between them is poor research. This study aimed to find the relationship between the history of work in agricultural areas with liver and kidney function in farmers. The design of this study was cross-sectional.Respondents for this survey were 36 persons, drawn by purposive sampling. For data, collection questionnaires and interviews are of work history in the agricultural area and observation of laboratory data in the medicalrecords of patients. Data analysis was bivariate analysis with linear regression with p-value <0.05. The normality test with the KolmogorovSmirnov test shows all variables are abnormal distributions (p>0.05). In the analysis with linear regression methods there is a correlation between many pesticides with the value of SGOT (p=0.001) and SGPT (p=0.034), use of PPE with a level of creatinine (p=0.019) and SGOT (p=0.008). Urea has a fairly weak relationship with a work history in the agricultural areas (R=0.157), creatinine has a moderate relationship (R=0.471), SGOT has a weak relationship (R=0.362), and SGPT has a weak relationship (R=0.320). Farmers' local knowledge and wisdom can assist in recognizing and early handling threats due to hazardous materials in the agricultural environment. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to minimize the risk of exposure to pesticides, including through the use of personal protective equipment.

Abstract

Palliative care is an essential part of the management of heart failure patients. By integrating palliative care in treating heart failure patients, patients experience calm and feel a safe atmosphere both physically and psychosocially, and with other problems, and make patients have the same understanding from a medical perspective. To summarize the results of studies related to palliative care in heart failure patients and to identify specific and effective practices in preventing readmission. Systematic search of the PubMed, Science Direct, and ProQuest databases searching for articles that included heart failure and palliative care. Palliative care is a critical component of health care for heart failure patients. In this article, the authors summarize the effectiveness of patient-focused palliative care and the palliative team in preventing readmissions and improving patients' quality of life when palliative care is applied in health care. Implementing palliative care in patients with heart failure is highly recommended for enhancing the patient's quality of life (QoL) and preventing or reducing patient readmission rates if appropriately implemented. Focusing on improving the abilities and skills of the palliative team is also something that needs to be considered. Also, knowledge, understanding, and involvement of the patient's family in patient care at home are significant.
