Abstract

Water problems are big problems which are not easily solved in the frame work of the increasing food production especially for rice. The solution will be easier if the government’s policy onfood diversity can be realized successfully because second crop require less water for their growth. In conclution, problems rising in increasing food production through enterprice which are more with commodity approach can be overcome by improving cropping systems.

Abstract

As the largest coconut producing area, coconuts in Kulonprogo Regency have not provided a good income to the farmers. Developing a coconut agroindustry at the farmer’s group level is a way to increase the farmer’s income. For that reason, it is important to determine the most economically suitable type of coconut agroindustry and its financial feasibility.

Abstract

Salah satu UKM (Usaha Kecil dan Menengah) di Indonesia adalah kedelai dan tahu. UKM sangat rentan terhadap ketidakstabilan rantai pasokan, baik pada pemasaran dan perubahan harga bahan baku. Meningkatnya harga kedelai menyebabkan industri tahu perlu melakukan reorientasi strategi dengan meningkatkan kinerja dan daya saingnya.

Abstract

Plantation as part of agriculture has great contribution towards states income. In 1994-1995, plantation sector has given contribution around 12,7% from total foreign income that has been produced by non-oil industry sector. Advantages of plantation sector compared to others non-industrial sector is there are still a lot of non-optimal unused spaces, Indonesian agricultural sector supported by its climate, and there are a lot of available workers so it can be competitively used. One of Indonesia’s plantation main commodities is tobacco (Nicotiana sp.).

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the cost expenditure of contract labor for food crops farm as effect of land and labor institutions in Gunung Kidul Regency. Cost expenditure for contract labor of owner-operator farmer is higher than cost for HB tenant farmer. Most of HB tenant is in region far from city with bad transportation facility. In addition, volume of farm worker owner farmer may be greater due to area of owner-worker farmer have wider relative to area held by HB tenant farmer. In this case, there is no difference in cost expenditure for contract labor among the owner-operator farmers, LKP land tenant, and forestry land borrower.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji dampak liberalisasi perdagangan beras terhadap rumah tangga petani, yang mana harga beras berdampak pada rumah tangga petani di Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan data mikro rumah tangga yang diambil di Jawa Tengah, kami menguji dampak liberalisasi perdagangan beras dengan pertimbangan adanya kegagalan pasar tenaga kerja (labor market failure). Untuk tujuan tersebut, kami memisahkan antara analisis total pendapatanrumah tangga dengan hasil produksi yang dikonsumsi sendiri (including self-consumption) dengan total pendapatan rumah tangga tanpa hasil produksi yang dikonsumsi sendiri (excluding selfconsumption); efek perubahan harga beras akibat diberlakukannya liberalisasi perdagangan diuji pengaruhnya terhadap pendapatan riil rumah tangga petani.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to identify the nutrition adequacy rate in the city ofProbolinggo and the strategy to increase such rate. The adequacy of nutrition can be viewed from the state of nutrition. State of nutrition is a body condition as a result of the balance between food intake and how it is used by the body. This can be measured through various dimensions and each element of nutrition both micro as well as macro elements of nutrition. The macro element of nutrition is energy,protein and fat while micro element of nutrition is calcium, phosphor, zinc and vitamin C. Information on the component of food being consumed is obtained through people’s “recall one-day consumption” interview approach.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the financial performance of the plantation companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, judging from the liquidity ratio, solvency ratio, the ratio of activity and profitability ratios. The basic method used is descriptive analysis method, with the financial ratio analysis as a method of data analysis in this study. Determination of the research sample is determined by purposive sampling consisting of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, PT PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, PT Tunas New Lampung Tbk, and PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk.
