Abstract

Basic education is an important foundation in shaping the quality of human resources and determining the success of the next level of education. In the context of education in Indonesia, Pancasila Education has a strategic role in instilling character and national values from an early age. Unfortunately, the implementation of Pancasila Education learning at the elementary school level still faces two main problems, namely the lack of variety in the learning methods used and the low motivation of students to learn. This study examines the effect of using the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) model with Canva media on the motivation and learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Purwoyoso 04 Ngaliyan Semarang in the subject of Pancasila Education.. The VCT model was chosen because it is considered to be able to increase students' active participation through activities to find, analyze, choose, and decide on relevant values. The research approach used was quantitative experimental with a quasi-experimental design type of nonequivalent control group. Class IV A, totaling 23 people, became the experimental class sample and class IV B, totaling 23 people, became the control class sample. The tests used were pre-test and post-test. The results showed that the VCT model assisted by Canva media had an influence on the results and motivation of learning Pancasila Education in class IV. This result is indicated by the results of the t test of learning motivation sig of 0.001 < 0.05 and learning outcomes sig of 0.004 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant influence on the motivation and learning outcomes of Pancasila Education in Class IV SD Negeri Purwoyoso 04 Ngaliyan Semarang.

Abstract

This research aims to encourage the development of students through the application of digital-based learning media, considering that most educators still pay little attention to the use of media as learning tools in the digital era. The focus of this study is to investigate the improvement of students' descriptive writing skills through the use of digital pop-up book media. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research population consisted of fifth-grade elementary school students, with a sample of 26 students from Class V A. The researcher used a writing skills assessment rubric that included aspects of content, organization, grammar, style, spelling, and punctuation. The data collection technique employed pretest and posttest questions, and the data analysis utilized a paired t-test. The results showed a positive influence of using digital pop-up book media on the descriptive writing skills of elementary school students. This was proven by the t-test results, which showed a sig. value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. In other words, the use of digital pop-up book media has a significant effect on the descriptive writing skills of grade V A students at SDN Sumorame. Therefore, digital pop-up book media can be an innovative tool in elementary school learning and has the potential to be further developed according to students' needs.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of company visit activities on students’ academic knowledge, with material relevance as a mediating variable. Grounded in experiential learning theory, the research explores how real-world industrial exposure enhances students’ conceptual understanding. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire from 41 students at a private university in Jakarta who participated in a company visit to CRSN, representing diverse academic programs. The analysis employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS to assess both measurement and structural models. The outer model evaluation confirmed good reliability and validity of all constructs. The results reveal that company visit activities have a significant and positive direct effect on students’ academic knowledge and significantly influence their perception of material relevance. However, material relevance does not have a significant direct effect on academic knowledge and does not mediate the relationship between company visit activities and academic knowledge. These findings suggest that while students acknowledge the value of relevant material during visits, direct experiential exposure remains the primary driver of knowledge development. The study contributes to the literature by highlighting the importance of integrating industry-based learning in higher education. It also suggests that company visits should be followed by reflective or structured academic activities to maximize their educational impact.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of feedback in Microteaching classes among seventh-semester English Education students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Employing a mixed-method approach integrating classroom observations, questionnaires, and interviews, the research aimed to explore how feedback influenced students’ teaching performance, reflective learning, and professional development. Sixteen students participated in the questionnaire, and three students were interviewed to provide in-depth insights. The findings revealed that feedback significantly improved instructional clarity, classroom management, and learning engagement. Specific, constructive, and reflective feedback helped students identify weaknesses in lesson planning, adjust teaching strategies, and enhance confidence in their instructional delivery. Supportive and non-judgmental feedback, including peer interactions, reduced anxiety and promoted active participation. Students preferred guided and discussion-based feedback over direct correction alone, which aligned with sociocultural principles of scaffolded learning. Despite generally positive perceptions, challenges were noted, such as vague feedback or inconsistent corrective guidance. Overall, the study highlights the critical role of feedback in bridging theoretical knowledge and practical teaching skills, emphasizing the importance of clarity, emotional sensitivity, and structured delivery. The research provides practical implications for teacher educators, suggesting strategies for enhancing both lecturer and peer feedback to foster reflective, competent, and confident pre-service English teachers.

Abstract

Social movements often present ethical dilemmas in assessing the legitimacy of their actions, whether the resistance that emerges is a form of social banditry or actually represents a struggle for justice. This article analyzes the dynamics of the Duta Kayuagung social movement using the theoreticalframework of social banditry proposed by Hobsbawm, Rawls's theory of justice, and the theory of civil resistance. The selection of these three theoretical perspectives is intended to broaden the analytical horizon, while also demonstrating the connection between local resistance practices and auniversal normative framework. This research uses a qualitative literature study method by examining various academic sources, historical documents, and relevant social records regarding Duta Kayuagung. The results show that the Duta Kayuagung movement cannot be simply reduced to social banditry as Hobsbawm's classic definition, because their actions have a strong moral basis and are grounded in the spirit of distributive justice and siding with oppressed communities. From Rawls's perspective, their actions can be understood as an effort to uphold the principles of fairness and equal opportunity, while within the framework of civil resistance, this movement reflects a form of ethical resistance against structural injustice. Furthermore, when analyzed through reflection on the values of Pancasila, particularly the second principle on just and civilized humanity, the third principle on Indonesian unity, and the fifth principle on social justice, the Kayuagung Ambassador movement is more appropriately positioned as afighter for justice rooted in the nation's noble values. This finding confirms that Pancasila is not only the philosophical foundation of the state, but can also function as an ethical and normative framework in understanding social movements in both historical and contemporary contexts. Thus, this study not only provides a conceptual mapping of the Kayuagung Ambassador movement but also strengthens the relevance of Pancasila as an analytical foundation in assessing the dynamics of social movements in Indonesia, so that they remain contextual in facing the challenges of globalization and social transformation.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era has given rise to new citizenship challenges in the digital space, such as hoaxes, polarization of public opinion, hate speech, and low civic literacy. Civic education needs to transform from a theoretical approach to contextual, critical, and digital-based learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of issue-based civic education learning integrated with digital media in improving students' civic literacy in the era of Society 5.0. This approach places contemporary socio-political issues as the learning context that allows students to analyze real cases, test citizenship concepts reflectively, and formulate responsible civic attitudes and actions. The use of digital media strengthens this process by providing actual information sources, collaborative discussion spaces, and interactive media that encourage critical thinking and information literacy skills. The results of the study show that the integration of current issues and digital media has the potential to improve students' civic literacy, especially in terms of understanding citizenship issues, critical analysis skills, and awareness and responsibility in socio-political participation. Thus, this learning model is relevant to the character of Society 5.0 as a pedagogical innovation to strengthen civic competencies that are adaptive to the dynamics of digital society.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to thoroughly examine how Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPQ) Al Barokah Bandengan improves children's interest in reading and writing Al- Qur'an, especially in light of problems in the digital age. Nonformal religious education like TPQ has to compete fiercely with contemporary media, hence teaching techniques must be updated. The main finding of this study reveals that good teacher-parent cooperation is essential for successfully fostering such interest. Although teachers serve as facilitators, motivators, and providers of a well-organized curriculum (by means of methods such Iqra' or Wafa, as well as a rewards system), parents' role is considered much more crucial as the main driver of success. Parents are responsible for the constant conservation provided at home and lead by example. Sebenarnya dari kurang perhatian, kesibukan, atau sikap acuh tak acuh orang tua; dan dampak buruk dari anak bergantung pada gawai which could hamper interest and focus in school is where the greatest challenges arise. To meet that challenge, the most effective and enjoyable solutions are stress on visualisations (such as utilizing a colored blackboard to teach tajwid) and implementation of an Interractive Learning Approach (like peer teaching or couple learning). Drawing student attention, simplifying material comprehension, and generating a collaborative and intriguing learning environment are all advantages of this strategy. Overall, this study emphasizes that in order to develop an effective modern model for teaching the Al- Qur'an in TPQ, it is quite vital to reinforce collaboration by way of regular evaluation and the creation of enjoyable, adaptive learning strategies that make use of elements of competition and prize as drivers of interest in studies

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is widely recognized as a multidimensional construct encompassing pedagogical competence, ethical responsibility, reflective capacity, collaborative engagement, and professional identity formation. However, teacher education programs frequently emphasize theoretical instruction over authentic professional practice, resulting in a gap between conceptual understanding and practical readiness. This study explores how learning experiences structured through Project-Based Learning (PjBL) contribute to strengthening the professionalism of pre-service teachers. This research employed a qualitative case study design grounded in an interpretivist paradigm. Participants were 36 pre-service teachers from the English Education Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, with complementary perspectives from students at UIN Kiai Ageng Muhammad Besari Ponorogo. Data were collected through open-ended questionnaires and semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the interactive qualitative model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. Findings reveal that PjBL fosters professionalism across five interconnected dimensions: cognitive (instructional design and assessment literacy), practical (teaching performance and classroom management), social (collaborative competence and professional communication), reflective (critical self-evaluation), and identity (professional commitment and self-perception as a teacher). The most transformative stages were project planning, teaching simulation, presentation, and structured reflection. Challenges such as time management and performance anxiety functioned as developmental tensions that stimulated resilience and adaptive growth. The study concludes that PjBL operates not merely as an instructional strategy but as a professional formation ecosystem that bridges theory and practice. Its integration within teacher education programs provides a holistic pathway for cultivating adaptive, reflective, and confident future educators.
