Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the response of connoisseurs through independent learning through Ombyak Trimurti Dance through Youtube content that serves to hone dance skills and get to know other regional arts. Ombyak Trimurti dance uploaded by the channel of the Department of Tourism and Culture of East Java Province ‘Culture and Art’ is a creative dance originating from Ponorogo Regency, with its proud achievements, the dance received a positive response from elementary school to high school students. This makes researchers who are also the stylists of the Ombyak Trimurti dance very important to appreciate the responses of appreciators or students. Youtube content as an 'Learning Resource for Art' by presenting dance videos can do independent learning with mimicking or observing techniques. This study uses a qualitative approach and is supported by data in the form of dance videos that emphasize independent learning outcomes through imitation techniques. The conclusion of this study is the independent learning of dance through YouTube content which is the response of the community as connoisseurs of dance art from various circles provides inspiration that learning can be done anywhere with any learning resources and the presence of Youtube content is able to provide new insights and knowledge that is to know the special arts from other regions.

Abstract

The implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility activities done by state-owned companies is to enhance the positive image of a company.  It underlies the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility activities conducted by PT KAI (Persero) in managing and developing the company's activities. Marching Band Locomotive is one of the activities managed by corporate social responsibility division, which consist of the employees of PT KAI and the society. The authors examine the Marching Band Locomotive activities from PT KAI as the research object because it is one of the marching band groups with lots of high achievement in arts however is still not too well known by public. The purpose of this research is to analyze the strategy done by PT KAI in managing Marching Band Locomotive activities. The conclusion of this research is that Marching Band Locomotive activity as a part of community relation program from PT KAI commits not only to build relationship with society, but also to give positive impact for the people who join Marching Band Locomotive from PT KAI. The implementation of Marching Band Locomotive activities by Corporate Social Responsibility division from PT KAI is also related to event promotion and it is communicated by Public Relations division through several media.

Abstract

Pertunjukan sandur Bojonegoro dipentaskan di tanah lapang dengan panggung arena dan dibatasi dengan belabar janur kuning. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19, seniman Sandur menciptakan pertunjukan “Selendang Kuning” dengan konsep sandur rumah yaitu sandur yang dipentaskan dalam rumah atau yang dapat disaksikan di rumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui aspek-aspek kreatifitas yang mendukung penciptaan karya Sandur Bojonegoro dengan konsep rumah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskiptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian kemudian dianalasis menggunakan sistem kreatifitas Mihaly Csikzentmihalyi. Hasil penelitian yang telah dianalisis, ditemukan bahwa karya sandur “Selendang Kuning” yang berkonsep sandur rumah dapat tercipta karena beberapa aspek, yaitu (1)domain yang ditempuh telah mengalami titik fokus pada pengembangan Sandur Bojonegoro ke bentuk dan media yang baru dengan penuh kesadaran memilih untuk mempertimbangkan unsur kepakeman yang harus dipakai ataupun yang tidak digunakan dalam proses penciptaan karya tersebut; (2)ranah dalam pertunjukan mendapatkan dukungan, kolaborasi antar aspek yang memadai; dan (3)individu kreatif dalam karya berupa para pelaku sandur Bojonegoro yang terbuka dengan segala kemungkinan penciptaan.

Abstract

Barongan is one of traditional arts owned by society in Demak regency. Barongan born and developed together with its supporting community, one of them is Barongan Kusumojoyo’s group. This research aims to analyze the structure and symbolic interaction of Barongan Kusumojoyo performing arts. Research methods use qualitative with ethnographic design. Data collection use observation, interview, and document study. Data analysis use theory of form of the show, structural functional, and symbolic interaction, with three steps of analysis. Data validation use technical triangulation and source triangulation. Research result conclude that structure of Barongan Kusumojoyo performing arts often change for each perform. The difference is caused by the purpose of each different performing. Performing structure for entertainment and performing structure for aesthetic or art festival are different. Main difference is seen by story in every perform, especially in aesthetic perform. Symbolic interaction in Barongan Kusumojoyo performing art can be observed from ornament of the show like ornament in mask, property, costume, and sesajen. Ornaments that appear are cultural ornament and decorative ornament. The most important is audience and sponsor feel happy and satisfied with Barongan Kusumojoyo performing arts.

Abstract

The Gunung Jati New Music Keroncong Orchestra is a keroncong orchestra that regularly performs keroncong music at Tawang Station Semarang. During the keroncong music performance there are various kinds of symbolic interactions between the players and also with the audience. The purpose of this study was to determine how the symbolic interaction in keroncong music performances by the Keroncong Gunung Jati New Music Orchestra. The research method used is qualitative. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. The data collected through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the symbolic interaction at the Keroncong Gunung Jati New Musik orchestra performance at Tawang Semarang station included a sawer box as a place for the audience to give sawer money as a form of appreciation. Symbolic interaction between the players and the players, namely during the performance the players give each other song chord codes with gestures of limbs such as finger movements, head nods, speech, winks. And symbolic interactions between the players and the audience in the form of hand movements, head nods, clapping, and sawer money. From these findings it can be concluded that the symbolic interaction that occurs is as an interaction that aims to find chemistry between players and between players and the audience so that the keroncong music performance runs well and smoothly so that the players and the audience are satisfied with their appearance and as an attraction of the Keroncong Orchestra. Gunung Jati New Musik in attracting public interest in keroncong music itself.

Abstract

The interior design of the Petra Christian University Business and Technology Incubator aims to provide a forum for the people of East Java, especially start-up companies, students, lecturers and the outside community to start their start-ups and to develop the creative economy in East Java. The current interior of IBT Petra still uses former classrooms. So that it still does not accommodate the activities and needs of its users to work optimally and creatively. In order to solve the problem formulation, the Design Thinking 101 method is used, which consists of 3 main stages, namely Understand (Collecting and Analyzing Data), Explore (Looking for ideas for problem solving) and Materialize (Testing and developing designs). Then an IBT interior design was produced with the concept of Entrepreneur's Dream, which applies the vision, mission and goals of a startup, namely innovative, grow, caring, global into its interior design that can help realize the vision and mission. The resulting scope includes creative co-working space, exhibition space, store, office, event space, makerspace and café.

Abstract

Guel dance was a traditional dance based on the history narrative of Gayo, District- inspired by the legend of the siblings Sengedaand BenerMerie who were looking for white elephants that to be presented to a princess. Therefore, some elements of the dance movements reflected the character of the elephant. Besides the aspect of form, every element of Guel dance movements also contained the philosophical values that contain moral messages and social values. Currently, Guel dance performances creations are increasingly present in the middle of the community, The forms of Guel dance creations sometimes leave the standard provisions as a standard form of the dance itself. This study aimed to describe the philosophical values of the Guel dance movement in Takengon, Aceh Tengah District, by using the theory approach of motion dance structure fromKaepleer. The method used in this study was descriptive interpretative approach, namely research directly related to the community (participatory observation)for data retrieval. This study concluded that the Guel dance was a traditional dance which has a standardize story structure and dance motion philosophy. It implied the moral teachings, religious teachings, Guel dance has a message about loyalty, responsibility, fraternity, and it is not only done by relatives or family nut must be done in relationship for others.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data on changes in function and initial forms of performing Lebon in the community, Pepedan Village, Parigi District, Pangandaran Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. With the development of the current era through various factors, the Lebon art has turned into a means of entertainment that is arranged in such a way that the aim of the Lebon art remains sustainable and is accepted by the Papedan community. Lebon art in the language of the local community lebon has a meaning that is grave or buried. Lebon art performance can occur because there are two groups fighting over plantation land ownership or fighting over women to be wives, Lebon art is art that contains violence in earlier times, because in this art required as winners are surviving champions and losers must reach die and be buried in the place of the Lebon art performance. Lebon art in general Pangandaran community has become an art that was born originally from Pangandaran Regency.

Abstract

Each of art creators has their own tendencies in producing their works. The choices of form and process are significantly influenced by their cultural and aesthetical experience. The objective is to obtain the originality of the ideas and to offer novelty among the development in the field of theatre todays. This writing is aimed to reveal the creative process of the producing of a theatre work entitled Biografi Garam (The Biography of Salt). Methodologically, this is a qualitative study to describe the method or the creative process.  Ethnography and Estetika Paradoks are adopted to gain the structure of thoughts influencing the alternatives in constructing the performance aesthetic. The form of body theatre is chosen to obtain the natural structure of Madurese body as well as to release the identity to perform a free body. The creative process conducted through tubuh mengenal (the body knowing) and tubuh mengalami (the body experiencing) gives methodological experience on how the acts processed through natural body and situation becomes a theatre artwork. The background of Madurese people with all of the natural characteristics constructs the actor body so that a cultural body can be created on the stage. Ethnography and imagination process are the methods interrogating the body to become a theatre body performing Madura aesthetically to the stage. The form of a stage body is the construction result between the cultural Madura and the body execution in manifesting the ideas and imagination into an artwork that can be appreciated by the audience.

Abstract

Art For Children (AFC) adalah sebuah program yang bentuk oleh Taman Budaya Yogyakarta. Tercatat sebanyak 7 cabang seni yang diajarkan di dalamnya, salah satunya ialah teater. Proses kreatif teater pada AFC ini cukup menarik karena tidak menggunakan teks.  Penelitian ini mencoba melihat upaya yang dilakukan guru selama proses kreatif teater di kelas AFC. Peran tersebut tidak hanya tentang otoritas guru dalam kelas teater, tetapi juga cara guru memaknai dan melaksanakan perannya pada setiap tahapannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah kualitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data wawancara semi terskturktur, dokumen, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pelaksanannya, guru membagi dua tahapan yakni training dan rehearsal. Training yang berarti melatih keterampilan dasar anak dengan cara melakukan observasi di lingkungan sekitar, olah tubuh dan olah rasa. Kemudian berlanjut pada tahapan inti proses kreatif yakni rehearsal yang berarti melatih dengan mencapai tujuan tertentu atau dalam hal ini ialah mencipta naskah bersama-sama.
