Abstract

Mental health of children is a mental condition of children who do not experience mental illness, and the ability to think clearly, control emotions, and socialize with children his age. Mental health is less good in childhood can lead to more serious behavior disorders due to mental imbalance and emotional, and social life of children who are less good. One reason could be due to excessive use of gadgets. It can not be denied that the gadget has a positive or negative impact on the childs development. The positive effects such as gadgets can stimulate the senses of sight and hearing. Negative effects of gadgets on children include the brain growth is too fast, developmental obstacles, obesity, sleep disorders, mental illness, aggressive, dementia digital, addiction, radiation and not sustainable.

Abstract

This paper seeks to explain the picture of the gadget phenomenon that develops in early childhood in some areas, analyze the impact of gadgets for early childhood social development, analyze the social development of early childhood gadget users. By using the method of document study, the author then collects various documents of research to be analyzed by meta synthesis to produce final conclusions. Of the nine documents that researchers collect randomly from various sources, then got the end result that the phenomenon of gadgets has penetrated the area in Indonesia both urban and rural areas and at an early age (± 1 year to 6 years) have known and used gadgets. The social impacts raised from the children of this gadget user show positive data, meaning that gadgets greatly affect the behavioral development and social interaction. The social development of children using gadgets even to addiction is mostly they look passive in the association with peers, they prefer to be alone and comfotr with their gadget, their motor activity was very minimal. So that the optimization of a childs self-potential is required the participation of parents, which becomes the most important element in the formation and development of the childs personality.

Abstract

The aims of this article are to (1) describes the concept of Multiple Intelligence-based curriculum development in Early Childhood Education, (2) describes the implications of curriculum-based learning at the Multiple Intelligence in Early Childhood Education. Data acquisition method of this article is through literature and empirical experience of the author. The results of this article explains that exposure to develop the Multiple Intelligence-based curriculum, teachers and school curriculum development team can put the idea of Multiple Intelligence manner. Multiple Intelligence curriculum can be reflected with some learning approaches, including approaches based learning center. Multiple Intelligence curriculum can be organized with the 2013 early childhood curriculum where the curriculum structure is the organization of core competencies, basic competencies, and learning the charge with each of multiple intelligences. Implications of Multiple Intelligence learning curriculum through three stages namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. Learning plan includes lesson plans based on Multiple Intelligence Weekly and Daily Lesson Plan-Based Multiple Intelligence. The learning center is implemented through activities in accordance with the linguistic intelligence center, musical center, visual-spatial center, kinestetic center, logical-mathematical center, center intrapersonal, interpersonal center, naturalist center, and existentialist center. Rating is based on the development of students achievement indicators for each intelligence at every age.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the creativity of drawing children aged 3-4 years in KB Harapan Bangsa Guwo Tlogowungu Pati. 2) whether through finger painting can improve the creativity of drawing children aged 3-4 years in KB Harapan Bangsa Guwo Tlogowungu Pati. This research method uses classroom action research. This research is conducted in two stages, that is cycle I and cycle II. The subjects of this study were students of Harapan Bangsa Age Group 3-4 years Guwo Tlogowungu Pati as many as 17 students. The results of this study indicate that finger painting to enhance the creativity of childrens drawing is done with two cycles, the first cycle is done with F4 size paper media, free scratch technique, cycle II of the child is done with A3 size paper media and the technique of scratching fingers and grasping. The results of data analysis and observation through finger painting showed an increase from the pre cycle of 44% of children who completed the creativity of the drawing, up in the first cycle to 53%. That is, an increase of 9%. And in the second cycle increased to 80% and an increase of 84.6%. The results achieved in cycle II already meet the established completion target, which is 80% of the total children get the value with the category of the total value of 84.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the use of rhythmic gymnastics to improve gross motor skills of early childhood. This research was conducted in classes B KB Desa Taruna Bangsa Tajungsari Tlogowungu Pati in the academic year 2016/2017 for two months, December 2016 to January 2017. The subjects of this research were 30 students. The method used in this research is classroom action research with two cycles. The first cycle is done in large groups and cycle II in a small groups where each group consisted of 10 people for one group. Every action done through the planning stage, acting, observing, and reflecting. The results of the research through two cycles show that an increase in the second cycle. This is shown in the power aspect there was an increase from the first cycle to the second cycle of 15 children increased to 20 children. The percentage increase of 50% from the first cycle, the second cycle to 66.67% from 15 children to 20 children experience changes that seemed to go well in executing instructions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether role play can improve the social skills of children aged 4-5 years in Al Hikmah Tajungsari Tlogowungu Pati. This research is a Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted in first semester of academic year 2016/2017. This research will be carried out in 2 cycles, and each cycle aims to improve childrens social skills through main role. The analysis is done following the concept given by Miles and Hubberman, that is Reduction data, Display data and Conclusion Drawing / Verification. The results showed that the observation results of students social ability by using the role playing method of KB Al Hikmah Tajungsari Tlogowungu Pati. The students social skills are improved after attending the students ability development by applying role playing methods. In pre cycles of students social ability 24% in developed as espected (BSH) category. In the first cycle students social ability of 52% in the very good development (BSB) category. In the second cycle students social ability score of 80% or an increase of 28% compared to cycle I.

Abstract

Language is a social act. The development of speech and language is the ability of the child to respond the voice heard, convey his wishes, following the orders given, and so on. Early childhood shows rapid increase and complexity in speech and language development. Speech delay is one of the causes of developmental disorders in child language. The term speech delay in a child is an abnormality in a childs speech when compared to his or her age. Using excessive gadgets at the early age is a factor that makes the child more a passive listener. Communicate only one direction, ie respond. The child will play a role more as a recipient without having to digest and process the incoming information. To avoid the possibility of increased speech delay, therefore it is very important to prevent and limit toddlers when using the gadget. This paper is a conceptual study of how the process of language development in early childhood and how the gadget can lead to the negatif effect against it.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of moral value development to early childhood. This research was conducted in RA Al-Jabbar Batam City, involving 20 children consist of 13 boys and 7 girls enrolled in academic year 2016/2017 belonging to group B. The method used in this research is qualitative. Instruments for collecting data are through observation, interview and documentation. Data validity is checked by triangulation. The data were analyzed by using critical analysis and qualitative comparative analysis and interview, then processed descriptively by using assessment criteria transferred into quantitative form to know the result of development of moral values ​​of children through method of habituation. The results showed that with the method of habituation, the moral values ​​of children have developed. The conclusion of this study is the moral values ​​of early childhood in RA Al-Jabbar Batam City can be developed through the habituation method.

Abstract

Social media users today are not just limited to adults, but also young children. There are various impacts of its use, one of them on self regulation. At the age of 3 to 5 children should be able to adapt in the social environment, with the help of self-regulation. The fact that excessive use of social media in early childhood can disrupt self-regulation and result in general developmental problems, and socio-emotional development in particular. In self-regulation of early childhood, children try to be accepted in the social environment of peers. To be accepted in the social environment, children perform various ways one of them is (1) self-observation, (2) self-evaluation, (3) self-reactions. Different facts for children who experience social media addiction, children do not have self-regulation as well as the typical child before. One that is visible is, the child is seen not responding to the presence of people around him when engrossed with his social media. Social media in smartphones or other gadgets will disrupt the childs self-regulation that affects the development problem, which is one of them socio-emotional. This paper is a conceptual study of the negative impacts of social media use on the self-regulatory process of early childhood.

Abstract

The cultivation of knowledge and understanding of sex education in early childhood is very important at the present time. From the results of initial observation found that there is a discrepancy between the content standards, process standards and evaluation / rating standards, which will result in the gap in the assessment results of each school, especially in sexual knowledge, namely in the understanding of gender, male gender differences and women, self-protection from sexual violence, self-concept. After going through several stages of the study produced a final product of the instrument of sexual knowledge of children aged 5-6 years are made as a module of teachers in assessing sexual preoccupation of children aged 5-6 years in the realm of Early Childhood Education. The instrument has met the good test criteria in accordance with the analysis of the problems that have been done. The product is in the form of a guidance guide module for teachers which contains 16 guided questions, in each question along with a behavioral and behavioral assessment guide in the childs sexual knowledge field that is consistent with an indicator of sexual knowledge of children aged 5-6 years.
