Abstract

In meeting the needs of modern society, students are required to have several competencies, one of which is Mathematical Literacy. One way to improve students' mathematical literacy skills is to apply a Structured Inquiry-based learning approach. The purpose of this research is to investigate the components in Structured Inquiry learning that can improve students' mathematical literacy skills. The method used was Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 30 filtered articles. The articles reviewed were sourced from Sinta 1 - Sinta 3 indexed articles, Scopus rank Q1 - Q3, and several sources from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The results show that the Structured Inquiry learning model can be used as one of the approaches in learning to improve students' mathematical literacy skills. Some materials that can be used to maximise student learning outcomes include geometry, arithmetic, and calculation materials. Teacher guidance in applying the structured inquiry learning model will greatly determine student learning outcomes, especially in improving their mathematical literacy skills. Structured inquiry learning is more optimally applied at the elementary and junior high school levels. It is necessary to develop mathematical literacy questions in order to improve students' mathematical literacy skills. It is hoped that future researchers can examine more deeply other learning models that can improve students' mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

A server room is a space for storing servers and network devices with certain security standards, including temperature regulation. Temperature is a crucial factor because of its influence on the performance of devices, especially electronic devices. Such influences include the performance of components, both semiconductors and capacitors, equipment life i.e. component wear, system reliability both physical and thermal and battery performance. So maintaining an optimal and stable temperature is very important to maintain the performance of electronic equipment. Performance analysis of DHT22 and LM35 sensors is needed to monitor the temperature and humidity of the server room, ensure optimal device performance, and reduce the risk of damage. The purpose of analyzing the performance of DHT22 and LM35 sensors is to compare the performance of the DHT22 sensor with LM35 for the temperature data obtained. The research method used is waterfall, which consists of the planning stage determining the block diagram for the design of the tool, the design of the microcontroller work flowchart to take the temperature with DHT22 and LM35, analyzing the data obtained, and implementation by installing the tool and taking data when running. The analysis results show that the DHT22 sensor is more accurate than the LM35 temperature sensor, where the DHT22 accuracy rate is 94.69% while the LM35 is 71.80%.

Abstract

Drinking water is needed by humans. Most people in Indonesia still use well water as a source of clean water to fulfil their daily needs. With the increase in activity and the development of the times, some people switch to using refill drinking water for their daily drinking needs. The process at drinking water refill depots is generally still carried out using relatively modern equipment, but the process of filling water into gallons is still manual. The operator must press a button to start filling and pay attention to the level of water fullness during the filling process. This is inefficient and can also lead to uncertainty of the volume of water filled in gallons. Automatically, consumers can be disadvantaged because the volume of water entering the gallon is not the same even with the same operator. this certainly has obstacles. So it is proposed to make a system that is able to regulate the volume of water that has been determined. The methodology used with the stages of design and manufacture, testing, data analysis, evaluation of research results and preparation of research reports. The system is made by utilising Outseal PLC as a controller, the volume of water is obtained from the pulse calculation given by the water flow sensor, while the HMI is used as an interface in using the system connected to Outseal PLC via Bluetooth. The test results for 1 litre of water with Wasser Pump PB-60EA average pulse sent as many as 350 pulses and a length of time of 13 seconds while the test results with pump 775 12VDC average pulse sent as many as 307 pulses and a length of time of 20 seconds.

Abstract

Hermetia illucens, or the Black Soldier Fly  (BSF) maggot, is widely cultivated due to its ability to convert organic waste into economically valuable biomass; however, high colony density increases the risk of disease transmission. This study aims to analyze infection dynamics in maggot colonies using a mathematical modeling approach based on the Susceptible–Infected–Removed (SIR) epidemiological model. A system of differential equations was formulated by incorporating transmission rate (β), recovery or isolation rate (γ), and mortality rate (μ). Simulations were conducted on an initial population of 10,000 larvae with 100 infected larvae on the first day, evaluating three control scenarios: no control, improved sanitation, and rapid quarantine. Model parameters were assumed based on insect epidemiology literature. The results show that without control, an R₀ of 3.50 leads to a rapidly spreading outbreak with a peak infection of approximately 3,600 larvae. The sanitation scenario reduces R₀ to 2.00 with a peak of around 1,500 infected larvae, whereas rapid quarantine lowers R₀ to 1.40 and results in only about 500 infected larvae with a shorter outbreak duration. These findings indicate that sanitation measures and rapid quarantine are effective in reducing outbreak risks in BSF cultivation, with rapid quarantine being the most efficient strategy. The study provides an early theoretical contribution to applying simple epidemiological modeling to support biosafety practices in the BSF industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ mathematical critical thinking skills in relation to their initial abilities on the topic of statistics. This investigation is essential because statistical topics require the ability to interpret data, analyze relationships between pieces of information, evaluate solution strategies, and draw inferences; therefore, initial ability plays a substantial role in shaping the quality of students’ critical thinking processes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design to explore in depth the characteristics of students’ critical thinking based on their initial ability categories. The participants consisted of six seventh-grade students selected according to their levels of initial ability low, medium, and high. Data were collected through tests and interviews. The findings reveal that (1) students with low initial ability were only able to perform interpretation, (2) students with medium initial ability could perform interpretation, analysis, and evaluation though not yet completely, and (3) students with high initial ability were able to demonstrate all four indicators of critical thinking comprehensively. These results highlight the importance of considering students’ initial ability when designing assessments and learning activities that demand higher-order thinking skills (HOTS).

Abstract

International trade plays a crucial role in Indonesia's economic growth, particularly through industrial commodity exports. However, its heavy dependence on a few key commodities makes it vulnerable to global market fluctuations. This study aims to explore trends in industrial commodity export values and compare the performance of cluster methods in grouping commodities based on their value patterns. The research data used are monthly export values from 2022 to mid-2025, sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analytical methods used include trend exploration and cluster analysis with K-Means and K-Medoids using Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) distance. The results of the export value trend exploration indicate that palm oil dominates industrial export value, while other commodities tend to have stable patterns at medium to low values. Evaluation of clustering results using K-Means and K-Medoids each obtained 3 clusters indicating that K-Medoids provided the best performance by obtaining a Silhouette Score of 0.1577 and a Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI) of 1.7990. This value is better than K-Means which obtained a Silhouette Score of 0.1493 and a DBI of 2.3037 indicating that the method is less than optimal in separating clusters. This finding explains that K-Medoids is more robust against outliers and is able to provide more representative groupings. So it can provide a deeper understanding of commodity grouping patterns and contribute to providing export policy recommendations to reduce dependence on primary commodities and increase the export competitiveness of Indonesian industrial products.
