Abstract

Perception is an individual's ability to respond, interpret, and distinguish a view of any information to a stimulus. So the aims of this study was to find out: (1) students' perceptions of the use of an equation editor in writing mathematical notation as assignments for calculus class I papers, (2) students' perceptions of writing calculus I paper assignments using the manual method (handwriting). The research subjects consisted of 16 students majoring in Extension Informatics Engineering (afternoon class) Semester I. The type of research was descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are interviews. The analysis stage is to analyze the results of the interviews. The results of the study concluded that: (1) 11 (eleven) students agreed to use the equation editor in writing calculus I paper assignments,the rest were still confused about the use of the equation editor; and (2) all students do not agree if the paper is written using the manual method (handwriting) because the results are not neat and take a long time.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the ability to think creatively and mathematical communication in writing and orally through open-ended learning with a contextual approach. This study uses a qualitative approach and this type of research is descriptive. The subjects in the study were 30 first semester students majoring in Informatics Engineering. Data collection methods used in this study were tests and interviews. The results showed that: 1) The overall creative thinking ability of students based on the originality aspect was 75.08%; fluence of 58.84%; the flexibility aspect is 52.98% and the elaboration aspect is 69.82%; 2) Overall written communication ability based on aspects of writing mathematical ideas by 70.87%; the aspect of representing the image is 71.57%; systematic aspects of completion of 73.68% and aspects of the use of notation by 67.36 and 3) Overall oral communication skills based on aspects, namely mentioning things relevant to the problem of 62.22%; the aspect of understanding the purpose of the question is 62.22% and the aspect of presenting is 60%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen media sosial dengan menggunakan Naïve Bayes Classifier dan Support Vektor Machine. Metode ini digunakan untuk mengekstrak dan menganalisis informasi dan pengetahuan yang berguna dari sejumlah data besar. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah komentar atau tanggapan masyarakat terhadap berita yang di unggah di media sosial. Penelitian menunjukan ada 71 sentimen positif dan 31 sentimen negatif. Akurasi prediksi positif sebesar 80,36% dan akurasi prediksi negatif sebesar 84,00% , recall pada data positif sebesar 84,91% dan 79,25% pada data negatif. Sedangkan metode Support Vektor Machine menunjukan prediksi positif sebesar 54,84% dan 84,62% pada prediksi negatif, nilai recall pada data positif sebesar 96,23% dan 20,75% pada data negatif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu pihak humas dalam menganalisis komentar atau reaksi masyarakat terhadap berita yang dimuat di media sosial.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the world of information is developing very rapidly because it is supported by increasingly sophisticated technological developments. Computers are a tool to support the development of information technology. Therefore, an institution that uses computers to manage its information system will have more value than a system that is processed manually. Current technological developments are very diverse in various aspects of life so that they really help human activities every day. This includes the development of computer technology with various applications used in various scientific disciplines. It is hoped that this technology, which was born thanks to human creativity and innovation, can regenerate creativity and new innovations in various fields that mark the progress of this technology. One area that cannot be separated from the use of technology is education. Hardware and software. Hardware includes one notebook unit with eighth generation Intel Core i3 specifications, 4 Gb RAM, 256 Gb SSD. The software used includes the Windows 10 Pro 64bit operating system, Notepad++, XAMPP, Chrome, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio.The results obtained from this research are an information system for borrowing and returning books that can solve the problems faced by Manda Elu Private High School. From the results of the discussion it can be concluded that the information system for borrowing books and returning books can answer the problems faced, including making data searches easier and faster, archiving data does not take up a lot of space because it has been replaced by digital storage, and data reporting can be presented quickly and completely. , attractive and suitable for office needs. Abstract

In today’s age of technology, all activities can be performed effectively. One of the processes of absence.The process of absence of a field officer at the office of DP5A and KB of the western axis district still applies the manual process by performing a paraph as a sign of a daily presence in the process of the employee's work activity.This may cause damage or loss of data from an officer.This can also interfere with the effectiveness of a field officer’s work time process that will take place due to the time-consuming distance from each point of the area and it is not easy to come in the morning before performing the activity and return again in the afternoon to perform an absence at the dp5a office.Therefore, the author will provide solutions such as an online absence application to make the process of absence more efficient and minimize time.The method used in this study is the Agile Development Life Cycle (sdlc). which is involved in the process of making applications applied the method gradually and gradually to the desired destination..The result of this research is that field staff dp5a is more time-consuming absenteeship than a manual absence due to an online absence can be accessed from a smartphone with an existing gps feature to know the location points according to the task area.

Abstract

Kelebihan dan kemudahan yang mampu dilakukan oleh internet, membuat berbagai bidang kegiatan manusia mulai memanfaatkan teknologi internet untuk membantu meringankan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Desa Rada Mata dalam mengelola informasi kependudukan masih menggunakan cara manual sehingga menyebabkan adanya redudansi data penduduk, ketidaksingkronan data sampai dengan lambatnya pembuatan laporan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat sebuah sistem yang mampu mengelola data Informasi penduduk. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah suatu sistem informasi penduduk yang dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi oleh Desa Rada Mata. Dari hasil pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem informasi kependudukan dapat menjawab masalah yang dihadapi antara lain pencarian data lebih mudah dan cepat, pengarsipan data tidak memakan ruang yang besar karena sudah digantikan oleh penyimpanan digital, serta pelaporan data dapat disajikan dengan cepat, lengkap, menarik dan sesuai kebutuhan desa. The advantages and conveniences that can be carried out by the internet have made various fields of human activity begin to take advantage of internet technology to help ease the activities carried out. Rada Mata Village in managing population information still uses the manual method, which causes redundancies in population data, data out of sync, and slow reporting. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to create a system capable of managing population information data. The results obtained from this study are a population information system that can solve the problems faced by Rada Mata Village. From the results of the discussion it can be concluded that the population information system can answer the problems faced, including easier and faster data search, data archiving does not take up large space because it has been replaced by digital storage, and data reporting can be presented quickly, complete, attractive and appropriate. village needs.

Abstract

With the increasingly rapid development of science and technology today, the learning process related to information and communication technology is not only studied in universities but has been taught to students in junior secondary schools (SLTP) and senior secondary schools (SLTA), with There is a hope that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) subjects can contribute to the realization of critical and creative reasoning power. Since its implementation in the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), ICT subjects have become one of the subjects whose grades are also used as criteria for students' grade promotion. In this research on student sentiment toward informatics lessons, positive, negative, and neutral opinions will be grouped using the Naïve Bayes Classifier method. The research process carried out by the author in this study was carried out by collecting data, labeling the data set, and pre-processing the dataset which consisted of cleaning, case folding, tokenizing, stopword removal, stemming, and then continued with the TF-IDF calculation process. The aim of applying the Na????̈ve Bayes Classifier in this research is to group sentiments which are then followed by system validation and evaluation using the K-Fold Cross Validation and Confusion Matrix methods. The data set used is the opinion of students at SMPK St. Yohanes Kalembu Lona collected using a questionnaire that was distributed randomly to students in Class VII, VIII, and Class IX with 5 questions related to informatics lessons to each of the 40 students selected at random. The level of accuracy produced by the Na????̈ve Bayes Classifier method is based on test results using the splitting dataset technique, the results are adapted to the specified percentage, namely 80% compared to 20%, the results obtained are 85%, while testing using sub-datasets produces results of 84%, 83% respectively. , 80%, 82%, and 84% for the 5 sub-datasets while for the level of accuracy using the K-fold Cross Validation technique the results obtained for each dataset are 84%, 83%, 82%, 78%, and 80%.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine students' perceptions of using smartphones in Calculus II courses and provide knowledge about the importance of smartphones in Calculus II courses as a tool to strengthen student understanding and improve learning outcomes. The subjects in this research were 16 third semester students majoring in Informatics Engineering in regular and extension classes who had taken the Calculus II course in the even semester, selected randomly. The data collection method used was semi-structured interviews. then interviewed using semi-structured interviews. The results of the research were that 16 subjects interviewed agreed that smartphones were very helpful for students during the Calculus II lecture process in: 1) looking for additional material and example questions, 2) Makes it easier to complete college assignments, 3) Facilitates communication with friends and lecturers, 4) Utilize learning applications such as symbolab, geogebra, online calculator, brinly. The obstacles experienced by students in using smartphones in Calculus II courses are: 1) Expensive internet packages; 2) Difficult network access; 3) Mobile phone memory storage is small.

Abstract

Kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika perlu menjadi perhatian bagi pendidik dan perlu dicari solusi terbaik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui informasi tentang kesalahan-kesalahn yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal sistem persamaan linier menggunakan OBE dan faktor yang mempengaruhi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripstif kualitatif denga teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara.  Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa UNMARIS semester II kelas ekstensi (kelas sore) sebanyak 15 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tes SPL dengan metode OBE sebagai berikut: 1). Kesalahan konsep, 2) kesalahan procedural , 3) kesalahan komputasi dan 4) kesalahan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesalahan antara lain : 1). Mahasiswa tidak memahami konsep dasar dari materi matriks meliputi definisi, notasi; 2). Mahasiswa cenderung diam dan tidak aktif diskusi saat materi dijelaskan sehingga bingung mengerjakan soal; 3). Mahasiswa kurang konsentrasi dalam menghitung; 4) Mahasiswa lebih memilih mengisi jawaban akhir dibandingkan menuliskan jawaban secara prosedural; 5) Mahasiswa malas mengoreksi kembali jawaban sebelum dikumpul.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah masih menjadi topik pembahasan setiap hari ketika dihadapkan dengan sebuah masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah berdasarkan prosedur Polya. Dilihat dari tahap memahami, merencanakan, melakukan perencanaan, sampai pemeriksaan ulang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan wawancara. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI Peminatan IPA MAN WKB. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan secara keseluruhan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dikategori cukup dan tes wawancara pada beberapa siswa dikategorikan cukup. Terdapat faktor-faktor penghambat yang mempengaruhi yaitu: 1) siswa belum sepenuhnya memahami konsep materi yang diajarkan; 2) siswa belum paham strategi penyelesaian; 3) siswa tidak melakukan pengecekan kembali; 4) siswa kurang motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri dalam mengerjakan soal.
