Abstract

The goal of this research was to determine the effect of extrinsic learning motivation (learning motivation that comes from lecturers in online lectures) on Discrete Mathematics quality of learning outcomes. Data was collected from 30 lecture students in Informatics Management Faculty of AMIK Bina Sriwijaya Palembang, who take  Discrete Mathematics as their subject, by using a random sampling method. The measured variables are extrinsic learning motivation and discrete mathematics quality of learning outcomes. Simple regression analysis is used in testing the effect of extrinsic learning motivation on Discrete Mathematics quality of learning outcomes. The results of the research using 30 respondents showed that the correlation coefficient of 0.449, which means the corelation between the two variables in the medium category and the coefficient of determination 0.201 which means that lecture students quality of learning outcomes are influenced by extrinsic learning motivation (learning motivation originating from lecturers in online lectures) by 20.1%. Based on data analysis, the regression coefficient is positive (+) so it can be concluded that the increasing extrinsic learning motivation (learning motivation originating from lecturers in online lectures) will affect the increase in lecture students quality of learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a cluster-based tracer study instrument that can be used to measure the absorption rate of graduates based on competency. This type of research is development. This study uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) i. The product appraisal instrument uses a quality assessment sheet involving material experts and an evaluation sheet which is used to determine the responses of stakeholders and graduates regarding the use of the product being developed. The type of data obtained is data about the process of developing a cluster-based tracer study instrument from the input of experts and graduates. The data analysis of this research used process data analysis and product quality data analysis. The results of the study were based on a feasibility test based on the material validator, assessment, and language validator which were assigned to the graduate assessment instrument with the criteria of "very suitable". The results of field trials showed the feasibility of the instrument as a tool for evaluating graduates was 86.5% so that it could be used as an alternative in tracing studies. These results are used as the basis for determining the success of higher education institutions in producing quality graduates

Abstract

This study is an attempt to revisit the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) vis-à-vis South Korea’s New Southern Policy (NSP). The focus is on the tech-voc education given PQF mandates concerning NSP’s agenda. The PQF-NSP alignment in the context of tech-voc is emphasized as inputs are provided towards quality tech-voc education in the Philippines. This qualitative study uses policy document analysis as a methodology, primarily involving PQF and NSP. According to Cardno (2018), policy document analysis is a significant instrument for leaders in the education sector as it also functions as a research technique. Policies are accessed through retrieval from website searches (Patel, et al., 2017). Harmonizing mandates provisions, and agenda of the NSP and PQF provides clear-cut directions towards quality tech-voc education in the Philippines. Institutionalizing qualifications and standards through the PQF serve as a mechanism to complement existing practices not just in the country but in the ASEAN region as well. As PQF acts as an instrument to advance policy planning, creation, and implementation, the Philippines affirms its role in contributing to the region’s qualifications framework by gaining recognition and impact.  This is a prime invitation for NSP to maximize and be an active partner in upholding quality and standards, and in this case, through the context of tech-voc education.

Abstract

Between the world of education and technology cannot be separated because these two sides are interrelated, student learning can be done online and offline by looking at the situation and conditions. The abilities and limitations they have are also different, so there is a need for a policy by dividing the zones in implementing online lectures based on the quality of the internet network owned by each region where the student comes from. The quality of the learning process can be seen from the quality of the lecturers who teach and the learning media used, especially in online learning everything has to adjust. The problem of an unstable internet network and lecturers who are not fully ready to teach online are the main problems in online learning. So that is the importance of dividing 3 zones for the application of online lectures, zone 1 network is strong and stable can study online, zone 2 network is less strong and stable, online and offline lectures and zone 3 networks are not yet available so offline lectures are conducted
