Abstract

Poverty is still one of the main problems in economic development and inequality, unemployment, and economic growth. This study aims to model poverty directly by using a discrete choice model using binomial regression. The data used is imbalanced data, where one of the value categories is relatively small. In this study, the logistic regression method applies several resample techniques. They include undersampling, oversampling, a combination of both, and Cost-Sensitive Learning (CSL). The results obtained that both sampling techniques provide optimal results when viewed from the indicators of accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, and AUC. In addition, the results show that in households in rural areas, the head of the household is female, unmarried, has low education, married at an early/old age, and has a large household size, has a greater chance of being poor than other categories. So that targeted and comprehensive policy is needed so that the poverty rate can continue to be reduced and welfare increases

Abstract

This study examined the effect of content marketing on consumers’ purchase intentions through Instagram, using Jamuin.co as the research object. The rapid growth of social media usage has encouraged businesses, particularly micro and small enterprises, to adopt content marketing strategies to influence consumer behavior. A causal quantitative approach was employed, and data were collected through an online survey distributed to Instagram users who had previously viewed Jamuin.co’s content. A total of 55 valid responses were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Content marketing was measured based on its relevance, accuracy, value, clarity, accessibility, and consistency, while purchase intention was assessed through consumers’ interest, desire, and willingness to purchase. The results demonstrated that content marketing had a positive and significant effect on purchase intentions, with a path coefficient of 0.736 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.542. This indicates that content marketing explained 54.2% of the variance in consumers’ purchase intentions. The findings confirmed that informative, engaging, and visually appealing Instagram content played a crucial role in shaping consumers’ psychological responses and encouraging purchase intentions. This study provided empirical evidence that effective content marketing strategies on social media could significantly enhance purchase intentions for local brands in the modern herbal beverage industry.

Abstract

Global financial markets, particularly in Indonesia, were significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the pharmaceutical sector attracted heightened investor attention during this period. This study compares stock prices and trading transaction volumes of pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange before and after the COVID-19 outbreak. Using a comparative quantitative approach with purposive sampling, seven firms were selected from a population of eleven over the 2018–2023 period. Because the data were not normally distributed, hypotheses were tested using the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results indicate statistically significant differences in both stock prices and trading transaction volumes between the pre-pandemic and post-pandemic periods. Stock prices increased in the post-pandemic period, reflecting improved valuation of pharmaceutical firms during the crisis, while trading volume also changed significantly, indicating a shift in market participation and liquidity conditions. These findings suggest that the pandemic carried information content that reshaped investor behavior toward pharmaceutical stocks. This study contributes to understanding sectoral market dynamics during global health crises and provides insights for investors, regulators, and corporate managers regarding valuation and liquidity considerations. Keywords: Stock Price, Trading Transaction Volume, Covid-19, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how profitability, liquidity, leverage and firm value affect firm value. The correlations among the variables were examined using a causal study design and a quantitative technique. Eighteen firms, all involved in the automotive and component industries, that were listed on the IDX between 2015 and 2024 make up the study's population. Five firms selected through purposive sampling consistently published full financial statements over the course of the ten-year study. A total of 50 observations were included in the research and evaluated using EViews 13. The primary technique for analysis was panel data regression. Firm value is positively and significantly impacted by profitability and leverage, according to the data. Firm value is significantly and negatively impacted by firm size. On the other hand, liquidity doesn't seem to have much of an impact on company valuation.  Keywords: profitability, liquidity, leverage, firm size, firm value

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity, solvency, activity, and profitability on financial distress. This research employs a causal research design. The population consists of textile companies listed on the Corporations registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2015 and 2024 were examined, with five entities chosen through purposive criteria. Panel regression techniques were employed to process the dataset. The findings indicate that liquidity, , solvency, and activity do not exhibit a meaningful influence on financial distress, whereas profitability measured through Return on Assets (ROA) indicates a negative correlation suggesting that increased profitability lowers distress probability. This research enriches academic discourse by offering data-driven findings derived from the Indonesian textile sub-sector using a longer observation period (2015–2024), capturing financial dynamics before, before, throughout, and following the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as offering insights for management and investors in assessing financial conditions. Keywords: Liquidity; Solvency; Activity; Profitability; Financial Distress
