Abstract

Clean water is one of the basic needs for human life. The toughest challenge related to clean water problems is in the procurement and distribution of clean water. Instability in distribution and supply chain issues has now become one of the company's focuses of attention. The success of the company depends on the structure and alignment of the supply chain design, this can be done if the company is able to minimize the negative effects of the risk of critical assets. Understanding the concept of asset management is important. This study aims to design and implement an asset management policy model in the case of critical assets in Company X, especially in the K water house. After an analysis was carried out using the House of Risk phase 1 and the Pareto diagram, the results were 14 risk agents (Risk Agent) which are a description of 6 risk events (risk events) that are included in the vulnerable and high-risk categories. After an analysis was carried out using the House of Risk phase 2 and an assessment of the Effectiveness to Difficulty Ratio (ETD) value, 22 priority risk management strategies (PA) were obtained. One of these risk management strategies is the policy of installing a soft starter for the pump panel.

Abstract

Ply yarn is widely used in high-performance textiles due to its superior tensile strength and durability compared to single yarn. However, the selection of twist per meter (TPM) and the number of plies in ply yarn significantly influences its mechanical properties. This study aims to examine the effect of TPM and the number of plies on the tensile strength and elongation of ply yarn. An experimental approach was employed, varying TPM (550, 650, and 750 TPM) and the number of plies (2 and 3). Tensile tests were conducted to measure the yarn's tensile strength and elongation, while two-way ANOVA statistical analysis was used to evaluate the influence of each variable. The results indicated that TPM and the number of plies significantly affected the tensile strength and elongation of ply yarn (p < 0.05), while their interaction was not significant (p > 0.05). Increasing TPM enhanced tensile strength up to a certain limit before declining, whereas a higher number of plies improved both tensile strength and elongation but also increased yarn stiffness. These findings confirm that an optimal combination of TPM and the number of plies is essential to achieve the best balance between tensile strength and flexibility in ply yarn.

Abstract

Bottled water in Indonesia continues to grow along with the increasing demand for clean and practical water. Company performance is crucial to maintaining competitiveness, one way of doing this is through optimal workload management. Workload, both physical and mental, is directly related to employee fatigue levels. In measuring mental workload, subjective methods such as NASA-TLX are widely used because they are more economical and representative. The NASA-TLX method measures six dimensions: mental demand, physical demand, time demand, performance, effort level, and frustration level. In the Bottled water studied, problems were found such as frequently not achieving production targets, product labeling errors that are still done manually, bottle damage due to worker negligence when taking from the warehouse to the production area, and there are sudden changes in work systems due to employees suddenly requesting leave and being replaced, these factors causing high workloads. The measurement results showed that the highest mental workload was found in administrative staff, quality control, and operational staff, with average scores of 82, 83, and 85, respectively. Simulations of adding workers showed a significant decrease in mental workload, from the high category to medium or low. This study proves that increasing the workforce can be an effective solution to reduce mental workload and improve employee performance in the AMDK sector.

Abstract

The growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has driven an increase in demand for fast, reliable, and high-quality shipping services. One shipping service that has grown rapidly in the digital ecosystem is Shopee Express. As public expectations for the reliability of delivery services continue to rise, various customer complaints still indicate a gap between expectations and reality. The objective of this study is to analyze the quality of service and customer expectations toward Shopee Express using the SERVQUAL approach, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), and Potential Gain in Customer Value (PGCV). The method used is a quantitative approach with a questionnaire distributed to 60 respondents. The analysis results show that 16 out of 18 service attributes have negative gap values, indicating that service performance has not met customer expectations. Five attributes identified in Quadrant I of IPA are prioritized for improvement. The packaging security attribute (SI2) is the primary focus due to its highest PGCV value. This study concludes that the combination of the three methods can systematically identify the weaknesses in the quality of Shopee Express delivery services. It is hoped that Shopee Express will pay more attention to the key indicators analyzed, thereby improving service quality and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Desa Sentul is a village where 74% of its total area is agricultural land primarily used for rice cultivation, This research aims to analyze the factors influencing food security and farmer profitability in Sentul Village, Jombang Regency, and to develop a system dynamics model to support agricultural sustainability. Using a Triple Bottom Line approach with SMART PLS, the analysis results show that age, technology adoption, pest attacks, fertilizer use, and soil pH significantly impact productivity and food security. The system dynamics model developed with STELLA illustrates the relationships between these factors and highlights the importance of proper fertilizer and pest management. Three simulation scenarios were tested to increase farmer productivity and profit, with Scenario 3 (a combination of technological and organic approaches) showing the most optimal results, increasing rice productivity by up to 14%, reducing operational costs by up to 21%, and increasing profit by Rp2,507,146,451. The study also includes risk analysis and mitigation strategies for scenario, which are expected to reduce challenges and enhance agricultural sustainability in Sentul Village.

Abstract

Railway crossing guard posts are essential outdoor workplaces that play a crucial role in transportation safety, yet they are often overlooked in ergonomic studies. Gatekeepers perform their duties with limited facilities, making them vulnerable to noise, poor lighting, high temperatures, and vibrations from passing trains. This study aims to evaluate the ergonomic conditions of the guard post in Gombong by measuring four main parameters: noise, lighting, temperature, and vibration. Measurements were conducted using standardized instruments, and the results were compared to official threshold limits. The findings revealed that the average noise level was 96 dBA, exceeding the standard of 85 dBA; nighttime lighting was 43 lux, below the minimum standard of 100 lux; daytime temperature reached 32.5 degrees Celsius, above the comfort range of 25–27 degrees Celsius; and vibration was 0.4 m/s², which remained within the safe threshold. Although exposure was short, cumulative risks could reduce concentration. This study provides practical recommendations for improving work conditions and expands research on environmental ergonomics in public transportation sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the working environment based on physical parameters, including lighting, noise, temperature, and humidity, at RR tofu factory in Cikampek, Karawang. A quantitative approach was used through field observations and direct measurements at 11 designated work points. The measurement results were compared against the standards set by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower Regulation No. 5 of 2018 and relevant international guidelines. Findings show that the average lighting intensity was 148 lux, which falls below the minimum standard of 200 lux, and the Uniformity Ratio of 0.061 indicates poor light distribution. The average noise level was 77 dBA, below the threshold of 85 dBA for 8-hour workdays, with a noise dose of 15.75%, indicating a safe condition. However, the Temperature Humidity Index (THI) values in all areas indicate a "high danger" level, suggesting significant risks of heat stress and decreased productivity. Improvements are recommended by installing additional lighting, rearranging the lighting system, providing hearing protection in noisy areas, enhancing ventilation, and offering sufficient rest facilities. Periodic evaluations are essential to maintain an ergonomic and safe working environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how production planning and operational efficiency impact the operational performance of PT Kamaltek Indonesia. In the textile industry, careful production planning and efficient use of resources are considered important for improving company productivity and competitiveness. This study uses a quantitative approach employing descriptive and causal methods. Primary data was collected through a questionnaire administered to 96 employees working in the production and operational divisions. Validity, reliability, and hypothesis tests (F-test and t-test) were used to analyze the data. The results of the study indicate that both production planning and operational efficiency positively and significantly influence operational performance. With the highest regression coefficient, operational efficiency has a greater impact than production planning. The coefficient of determination of 93.8% indicates that this model is highly effective in explaining variations in operational performance. This study emphasizes the importance of implementing lean manufacturing and technology integration to support company operations in the Industry 4.0 era.

Abstract

The effectiveness of the production process and product quality are crucial in determining how well a company competes. Product quality is one of the main factors in determining the success of a company. PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the automotive rubber spare parts industry. One of the products produced is the EPDM-1440 rubber compound or can also be called the E-1440 compound. The E-1140 compound that has been turned into a rubber product has a part number. This study aims to identify the most dominant type of defect or so-called NG (Not Good) and analyze the causes of defects in the E-1440 compound product Part Number 7015-4764 at PT. XYZ. The research method used is the Seven Tools, which includes histograms, Pareto diagrams, fishbone diagrams, U-control charts, and Why-Why Analysis. Based on data for six months September 2024 - February 2025, it was found that the NG type of slit tear was the most dominant with a total of 375 units (37.24%). The U control chart shows that there are data points that are outside the control limits, therefore a revision is made to the data that is outside the control limits and the average product damage (CL) is 0.007, the upper control limit (UCL) is 0.020 and the lower control limit (LCL) is -0.005. The main cause of the emergence of NG torn slits is due to humans, then improvements are proposed by focusing on improving operator training..
