Abstract

The purposes of this study are to know: (1) the effect of learning media toward students achievement; (2) the effect high and low motivation toward students achievement; (3) the effect of concrete and abstract thinking styles toward students achievement; (4) the interaction between the learning media and motivation toward students achievement; (5) the interaction between the learning media and thinking styles toward students achievement; (6) the interaction between motivation and thinking styles towards students achievement; (7) the interaction among learning media, motivation and thinking styles toward students achievement. The research used experimental method, was conducted from January to May 2010. Population was all students at grade VII SMP 2 Girisubo academic year 2009/2010 that consisted of four classes. Sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique and consisted of two classes. The fist class was treated using virtual demonstration and second class was treated real demonstration. The data was collected using test for students achievement, and questioner for students motivation and thinking style, and observation sheet for students affective achievements. The research hypotheses was tested using ANOVA with 2x2x2 factorial design and calculated with software minitab 15. From data analysis can be concluded that: (1) there is no effects of learning media toward students cognitive (p value = 0.618) and affective (p value = 0.822) achievement, (2) there is an effect students  high motivation towards cognitive (p value = 0.000) and affective (p value = 0.008) achievement, (3) there is no effect of concrete and abstract thinking styles toward students cognitive (p value = 0.233) and affective (p value = 0.233) achievement, (4) There is no interactions between the learning media and students motivation toward  (p value = 0.365) but there is interaction between the learning media and the motivation toward affective ( p value = 0.037) achievement, (5) there is no interaction between the learning media and students thinking styles toward cognitive (p value = 0.112) and affective (p value = 0.256) achievement, (6) there is interaction between  motivation and students thinking style toward cognitive (p value = 0.042) but there is no interaction between motivation and students thinking styles on affective (p value = 0.780) achievement, (7) There are no interactions among learning media motivation and thinking styles of the students toward cognitive learning (p value = 0.977) and affective (p value = 0.089) achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of a media simulation board in learning Indonesian. This research is also useful to find out the results of the development of learning in improving students' reading skills. The development model used in this study is the Borg Gall model. The test subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SDN 01 Dasan Lekong. It can be concluded that the product developed in the form of learning media can be said to be suitable for use in the learning process. From the data from the field trial results obtained data completeness percentage on student learning outcomes tests which reached 73, 25%% with good criteria. Data from the results of the experts also showed good conversions ranging from media experts 3, 00, material experts 3.38 and the last class 3.95 teachers.

Abstract

Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakter utama  dalam perilaku orang-orang arif. Orang arif (‘ârif ) adalah orang yang telah mencapai derajat manusia paripurna (insan kamil). Mereka  dibesarkan dalam tradisi Islam (tasawuf) dan berlatar belakang pendidikan pondok pesantren, meskipun kemudian mereka menjadi akademisi dan pejabat pemerintah. Untuk mencapai tujuan dilakukan studi tokoh, melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Tokoh ‘ârif yang distudi meliputi pimpinan pondok pesantren Suryalaya Tasikmalaya, seorang dosen IAIN Walisongo Semarang dan Gubernur NTB. Analisis data dengan  reduksi, display data dan menarik  simpulan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa ada lima karakter utama mereka, yakni kenal Allah (makrifatullah), cinta Allah dan Rasul-Nya, sangat mementingkan orang lain, kesatria dan produktif. Implikasi temuan studi adalah agar karakter utama tersebut  diwujudkan melalui pendidikan dan bimbing-an. Karena itu, perlu dikembangkan model pendidikan dan bimbingan untuk mengembangkan perilaku arif dengan mencontoh karakter orang arif. Kata kunci: karakter utama, orang arif, pendidikan dan bimbingan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan keefektifan pendekatan open-ended, problem posing, dan konvensional dalam pembelajaran matematika materi pokok geometri ditinjau dari ketuntasan belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan motivasi belajar siswa SMA/MA NW Narmada; 2) menyelidiki perbandingan keefektifan pendekatan open-ended dan problem posing dengan konvensional dalam pembelajaran matematika materi pokok geometri ditinjau dari ketuntasan belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa SMA/MA NW Narmada; 3) menyelidiki perbandingan keefektifan pendekatan open-ended dengan problem posing dalam pembelajaran matematika materi pokok geometri ditinjau dari ketuntasan belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa SMA/MA NW Narmada. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan non equivalent group design. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas X SMA/MA NW Narmada. Dari populasi yang ada diambil dua sekolah secara purposif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pendekatan open ended, problem posing, dan konvensional dalam pembelajaran matematika materi pokok geometri efektif ditinjau dari ketuntasan belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan motivasi belajar siswa; 2) tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan yang signifikan antara pendekatan open ended dan problem posing dibandingkan dengan konvensional dalam pembelajaran matematika materi pokok geometri ditinjau dari ketuntasan belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan motivasi belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Open-Ended, Pendekatan Problem Posing, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematika, dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship learning and support for the family environment give positive impact in building students' knowledge, interest and skills in the field of entrepreneurship so that they can produce graduates who are creative, innovative,productive,reliable,quality, independent, self-controlled and competitive.This study aims to determine the influence of knowledge and family environment on student entrepreneurial attitudes.This study is a descriptive exploratory study with 56 respondents as students of biology education at Mandalika University of Education.The research instrument used is a closed questionnaire with degraded answers according to the likert scale and has been validated (expert validation).The research data analysis used was inferential statistics with multiple linear regression at 5% significance level.The results of the study  showed that (1) the knowledge and attitudes of student entrepreneurship had a percentage of 88.00% and 78.35% in the Very Good category,while environmental support had a percentage of 68.20 in Good category; (2)there is an effect of knowledge and family environment on student entrepreneurial attitudes (F=7,245 p=0,0020,05); (3) knowledge and family environment simultaneously affect the entrepreneurial attitude of students by 21,5% and the remaining is influenced by other variables or factors (R square=0,215). Therefore it can be concluded that the collaboration of student knowledge about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial family environment activities has a positive role in developing student entrepreneurial attitudes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran mahasiswa aktif dengan pendekatan kontekstual pada mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPS Program Studi PGSD STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong. Adapun produk yang akan dikembangkan berupa model pembelajaran mahasiswa aktif dengan pendekatan kontekstual sebagai produk utama dan perangkat pembelajaran yaitu: Bahan Ajar Mahasiswa, Satuan Acara Perkuliahan, dan Tes hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong pada Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester II PGSD dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas. Data kevalidan produk awal diperoleh nilai rata-rata 4,00 dinyatakan pada kategori “Valid”. Kepraktisan model pembelajaran diperoleh melalui dua unsur yaitu: a) kriteria kepraktisan menurut penilaian ahli/praktisi dan diperoleh nilai rata-rata 4,08 dinyatakan pada kriteria “Tinggi”, dan b) kriteria kepraktisan secara operasional di lapangan dengan observasi, diperoleh nilai rata-rata 3,11 dinyatakan pada kriteria “Cukup”. Data keefektifan model pembelajaran diperoleh nilai rata-rata 4,20 dinyatakan pada kriteria “Tinggi”. Respon mahasiswa terhadap model pembelajaran sekitar 85% mahasiswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model yang dikembangkan. Hasil belajar yang diperoleh mahasiswa yaitu 80% mahasiswa memperoleh nilai 60.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out: (1) differences in learning achievement of economic student who use the Think Pair Share (TPS) and Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model viewed from learning interest, (2) the effect of learning interest for economic of student achievement, (3) interaction effect between TPS learning model and NHT learning model. This study was a experiment. The research was desained by faktorial 2x2. The research population was 197 students for 7 class XI of MA Muallimat NW Pancor. The sample was taken by using simple Random Sampling, obtained 28 students as an TPS class and 28 other in same grade as NHT class. The data collection was taken by obyektive test of multiple choise method. Test method was used to know learning achievement of economic student. The conclusion of this research were that: (1) There were differences in learning achievement of accounting student who used the TPS learning model and NHT learning model. (2) There were effect of learning interest for economic of student achievement. (3) There not was interaction effect between interest with TPS learning model and NHT learning model.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) apakah ada perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran TPS dan NHT terhadap hasil belajar siswa, (2) apakah ada pengaruh minat terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan (3)  apakah terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan  minat terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperiman, dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MA Mu’allimat NW Pancor yang berjumlah 197 orang yang terdiri dari 7, diperoleh dengan cara Simple Random Sampling, sehingga yang terpilih adalah kelas X6 dan X7 yang berjumlah 28 siswa sebagai kelas TPS dan 28 lainnya sebagai kelas NHT. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes obyektif pilihan ganda, untuk memperoleh hasil belajar ekonomi siswa. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran TPS dan NHT terhadap hasil belajar siswa, (2) terdapat pengaruh minat terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan (3)  Tidak  terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan  minat terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study is a R D (research and development) that is the development research that aims to produce instructional media interactive tutorials CD video using Camtasia studio and macromedia flash to a language visual programming subject of educational informatics department of STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong as well as to find out the quality of The CD interactive media based on the media experts assessment, maerial expert and instructional expert. This cd Learning talk about the introduction of the Delphi programming language, the basic program, an example of making a simple program and database connections with Delphi. The results of a feasibility assessment of video tutorials learning media for visual programming language subjects are: (1) the percentage score of material expert assessment was 81.25%; (2) the percentage score of media expert assessment was 84.5%; (3) the percentage score of student response was 84.83%. Based on the results of the assessment and responses obtained, we can conclude that this instructional media of video tutorials on programming language of visual delphi is feasible to be used and developed. Keywords: learning media, video tutorials, Camtasia Studio, Macromedia Flash, programming language Delphi visual

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui siapa yang berperan dalam pengambilan keputusan melakukan kawin muda dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak pasca perkawinan usia muda di Dusun Orang Desa Pandan Wangi. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini di Dusun Orang Desa Pandan Wangi Kecamatan Jerowaru Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini tidak terbatas sehingga peneliti menggunakan Non Probability Sampling. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasangan suami-istri yang melakukan perkawinan usia muda di Dusun Orang yang jumlah populasinya adalah ±73 orang dan sampel penelitian ini adalah 40  orang responden. Penelitian ini difokuskan hanya pada pihak perempuan saja. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara tertutup dengan menggunakan angket.  Dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan tabel frekwensi tunggal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yang paling banyak memiliki peranan dalam pengambilan keputusan usia kawin adalah pelaku perkawinan itu sendiri atas dasar keinginan sendiri (inisiatif sendiri) dengan hasil presentase 67.5% dan sisanya diputuskan oleh orangtua dan keluarga dekat  30%,  serta calon suami (pacar) 2.5%. Dampak yang terjadi pasca perkawinan usia muda Di Dusun Orang adalah terdapat pelaku kawin muda yang rumah tangganya tidak harmonis bahkan ada yang berujung pada perceraian. Kata Kunci: Pengambilan keputusan, usia kawin muda.

Abstract

This study aims to describe roles of Teacher Work Group (TWG) as an organization to develop teachers’ professionalism, and its roles to improve science teachers’ professionalism. This study was a descriptive qualitative study. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documents. The data trustworthiness in this study was established by using several steps including careful observations, triangulation, referential adequacy, and consultations with supervisors. The findings in this study reveal that TWG as an organization to develop teachers’ professionalism conducts a meeting once a week and the majority of the participants attend it in accordance with the schedule set before. In playing its roles, TWG actively takes part in responding to the problems that teachers face in Cluster 3 and the participants take an active part in joining the activities and in solving a variety of learning problems that they face. Besides, the roles of TWG in improving science teachers’ professionalism in Cluster 3, the main focus in the TWG activities, are on the aspects directly related to the learning quality improvement such as understanding of the curriculum, mastery of materials, use of instructional media, and use of evaluation methods and techniques. Meanwhile, aspects related to the development of teachers’ personality such as discipline in general and commitment to work do not become the main focus in the TWG activities. Keywords: Roles of Teacher Work Group
