Al-Izzah receive article from academics, researchers, and students national and international in the field of Muslim community, education, culture, gender, and any social religious issues. The articles published in the journal Al-Izzah covers scientific research result as a priority research, scientific articles review, and responses or critics to the existing the prior researches. Journal Al Izzah published twice a year by Intitute of Research and Community Development (LP2M) IAIN Kendari and always places Islam and Muslim society in the central focus of academic inquiry. Article submitted in the form of original ideas, based on research result (both library as well as fieldwork), and not yet ever published in journal anywhere. The manuscript submitted to Al-Izzah is independently reviewed by at least two reviewers in the form of "double-blind review". Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. In certain cases, the editor may submit an article for review to another, third reviewer before making a decision, if necessary.

Abstract

STAIN Sultan Qaimuddin Kendari adalah salah satu lembaga pendidikan yangberciri khas Islam yang kemudian nilai-nilai Islam yang diajarkan melalui prosespendidikan ini akan mempengaruhi sikap dan perilaku mahasiswanya karenadalam agama Islam terdapat sistem bertindak dan sistem hubungan sosial yangtersusun dalam syariat yang bersumberkan pada al-Qur’an dan Sunnah NabiMuhammad Saw. Dari masalah inilah peneliti melakukan penelitian tentangperilaku politik mahasiswa STAIN Sultan Qaimuddin Kendari dalam pemilihanumum presiden tahun 2014. Penelian ini dilakukan selama 4 bulan denganmenggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa tidak semua mahasiswa STAIN Kendari menggunakan hakpilihnya dalam pemilihan presiden tahun 2014. Alasan mereka beragam, ada yangtidak memilih karena mereka sedang berada didaerah lain yaitu mahasiswaSTAIN Kendari yang berasal dari luar daerah kota Kendari sehingga pada saatpemilihan presiden mereka tidak dapat menggunakan hak pilihnya. Selain ituideologi juga menjadi alasan mereka untuk tidak memilih, hal ini dilakukan olehkolompok mahasiswa STAIN Kendari yang anti demokrasi, namun dari semuaitu, ada juga mahasiswa yang memilih dan bahkan terlibat langsung dalam prosesdemokrasi ini seperti turut serta dalam mengkampanyekan pasangan calon yangmereka dukung dan menjadi saksi untuk salah satu pasangan calon presiden padasaat pemilihan umum presiden tahun 2014 berlangsung.Kata Kunci: Perilaku Politik, Pemilihan Umum Presiden

Abstract

Modernization and globalization in the world is characterized by the proliferation of modern religious institutions that attract people. This study attempts to analyze one institution namely Islamic Center Mu’adz bin Jabal (ICM) in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. This study indicates that regarded as the Muslim community center with initiation to embrace all groups of society, the program of ICM focuses on education, dakwah, social activities, and other community services. The education curriculum of this institution is using decentralized curriculum called thafidz Al-Quran, the development of infrastructures, and educational programs for kindergarten, elementary school, junior and senior high school. Meanwhile, the pattern of dakwah conducted by ICM is to provide adequate Islamic material, pengajian accessibility targeting every level of community as well as to use social media such as radio, ebsite, and facebook to do dakwah. With the pattern of education and dakwah are offered, ICM receives signifficantly positive response and interest from communities around, also strengthened by the progression of infrastructure development which is relatively faster compared to other educational institutions in Kendari. Moreover, this study confirms that the spirituality of urban society in Kendari obtains the suitable locus because Islamic Centre Mu’adz bin Jabal as the alternative solution to fulfill the religious need of society for any ideology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pola dakwah yang dikembangkanpada masyarakat etnis muslim Bali di Desa Sulemandara KecamatanPondidaha Kabupaten Konawe. Adapun rumusan masalahnya adalah:1) bagaimana pola dakwah yang dikembangkan pada masyarakat etnismuslim Bali di Desa Sulemandara Kecamatan Pondidaha KabupatenKonawe; 2) Bagaimana upaya-upaya yang dilakukan dalammentransformasi nilai-nilai Islam pada masyarakat etnis muslim Bali diDesa Sulemandara Kecamatan Pondidaha Kabupaten Konawe.Untuk menjawab masalah penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakanjenis penelitian kualitatif. Data-data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakanteknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Setelah datadikumpulkan maka dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan model Milesdan Humerman yang meliputi tiga tahap: reduksi, display, dan verifikasi.Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa “Pola dakwah yangdikembangkan pada masyarakat muslim etnis Bali di Desa SulemandaraKecamatan Pondidaha Kabupaten Konawe adalah pola ceramah.Efektifitas pola ceramah dinilai memiliki banyak kelemahan sehinggadikembangkan pola dialog terhadap tema-tema aktual yang meliputikeseharian masyarakat. Upaya tranformasi nilai-nilai keagamaan kepadaanak muslim etnis Bali di Desa Sulemandara Kecamatan PondidahaKabupaten Konawe dilakukan dengan beberapa cara : 1. Pengajian dasar;2. Pengajian majelis taklim (laki-laki dan perempuan); 3. Pengajian kitabkuning; 4. Pengiriman anak mereka menuntut ilmu di lembaga pendidikanIslam; 5. Abstract

This research focuses on the relation and attitude of Da'wah Wanita Mosque’s community towards GPdI Bukit Zaitun’s community in Kendari. The research data is collected through observation and depth interviews with the community and the mosque’s boards. The results showed that the relationship of Da'wah Wanita Mosque’s community is limited to the church’s boards who live surroundings, for example day-to-day personal relationship at home, while in the church, it is individual’s muammalah. The relationships established in the form of sharing information and material assistance from the church, and the cooperation in the form of a joint commitment to maintain cleanliness, order and beauty of the worship houses. Besides, the mosque’s community attitude tends to be passive tolerance to the church’s community indicated from their acceptance of the church’s existence beside the mosque. In term of communication, they tend to be open-passive, while in willingness of sharing, they are passive-pragmatic, and for cooperation aspect, they are closed-passive. Regarding the existence of the mosque attached to the church, the mosque's community basically understand that it is not in accordance with Islamic teachings and regulations

Abstract

Abstract The focuses of this research are to know the performance of  Provincial Accreditation Board for Schools/Madrasah (BAP S/M) at Southeast Sulawesi province in enhancing  education quality, the picture of madrasah education quality assurance, and the factors supporting and hindering the implementation of madrasah education quality assurance. Data collection technique is using interview and documentation which are processed by qualitative approach. The  result shows that the BAP S/M atSoutheast Sulawesi province has done the planning in counting up and allocation of school/Islamic School accreditation, Announcement of accreditation registration, proposal for accreditation, accreditation set of equipment delivery, instrument of collecting data filling, supporting information,   shipment of accreditation instrument, evaluation of instrumentresult and document audit, feasibility decree, Visitation to school/Islamic school, Validation process and visitation result, verification of validation result and recommendation arranging, result and accreditation recommendation, publishing of accreditation certificate, data reporting and socialization of school accreditation result, and has accredited schools/madrasah during the year of 2006-2014 for 5660 schools/madrasah.They are 5109 schools (90,3%) and 551 madrasah (9.7%). For a picture of madrasah education quality assurance, BAP S/M at Southeast Sulawesi province, as an institution accrediting schools/madrasah, has been implementing the program by mapping schools/madrasah as one of the components in improving schools/madrasah education quality referring to the national standard of education. While, the factors supporting the implementation of accreditation for schools/madrasah are the formation of BAP S/M manager at Southeast Sulawesi province, Accreditation Implementation Unit (UPA) for regency/city, good coordination establishment with the Department of National Education and Department of Religious Affairs, the number of assessors in various levels of education, the availability of an adequate budget from central and local government,while the inhibiting factors are the awareness of madrasah leaders are still low and some of them still do not know that there is an accreditation for madrasah, and madrasah management is still poor.Keyword: BAP S/M, Madrasah Education Quality.AbstrakFokus penelitian adalah bagaimanakah kinerja Badan Akreditasi Propinsi Sekolah/Madrasah (BAP S/M) Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, dan bagaimanakah potret penjaminan mutu pendidikan Madrasah, serta faktor-faktor apakah yang mendukung dan menghambat pelaksanaan kebijakan penjaminan mutu pendidikan Madrasah?  Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi yang diolah dengan cara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kinerja BAP S/M Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara melakukan rencana jumlah dan alokasi akreditasi sekolah/madrasah, pengumuman pendaftaran akreditasi, pengusulan untuk akreditasi., penyampaian perangkat akreditasi, pengisian instrument pengumpulan data dan informasi pendukung, pengiriman isian instrument akreditasi, evaluasi isian instrument dan audit dokumen, penetapan kelayakan, visitasi ke sekolah/madrasah,  validasi proses dan hasil visitasi, verifikasi hasil validasi dan penyusunan rekomendasi, penetapan hasil dan rekomendasi akreditasi, penerbitan sertifikat akreditasi, pelaporan data dan sosialisasi hasil akreditasi sekolah/madrasah, dan telah berhasil mengakreditasi S/M sepanjang tahun 2006-2014 sebanyak 5660 sekolah/madrasah, yakni 5109 sekolah atau90,3% dan 551 madrasah atau 9,7%, dan Potret penjaminan mutu pendidikan, BAP S/M Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, sebagai lembaga yang mengakreditasi Sekolah/Madrasah telah melaksanakan programnya dengan memetakan sekolah/madrasah sebagai salah satu komponen peningkatan mutu pendidikan sekolah/madrasah dengan mengacu pada standar nasionalpendidikan. Sedangkan faktor pendukung pelaksanaan akreditasisekolah/madrasah adalah terbentuknya pengurus BAP S/M Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, Unit Pelaksana Akreditasi (UPA) Kab/Kota, terjalinnya koordinasi yang baik dengan Diknas dan Depag, asesor yang cukup dalam berbagai jenjang pendidikan, tersedianya anggaran yang memadai dari pemerintah pusat dan daerah, sedangkan factor penghambat adalah kesadaran pimpinan madrasah masih rendah dan masih ada di antaranyayang belum mengetahui adanya akreditasi madrasah, serta lemahnya manajemen madrasah.Kata Kunci: BAP S/M, Mutu Pendidikan Madrasah

Abstract

This study discusses the attitude of corruption based on the perspective of al-Qawāid al-Fiqhiyyah. Corruption is a symptom of a dilemma because of its position not only as an extraordinary crime, but also as a human actualization to feel the hierarchy of needs. This requires a subjective attitude-primordialist-dogmatic in the form of Islamic views with a jurisprudential (fiqh) approach and perspective of al-Qawāid al-Fiqhiyyah in addressing the two symptoms of the dilemma. The attitude and view of al-Qawāid al-Fiqhiyyah to the punishment of corruption by methodology is done by six categories of rules (major theory) consisting of fourteen applied rules (minor theory). This paper concludes that the attitude of corruption criminal cases can be done with five things; the completion of the Highly Political Cost System, confirmation and tightening of law enforcement, alleviating the economic factors of the government apparatu,  to sharpen and culture the hedonism and consumerism, and religious moral preservation.

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of this research is to find out the teaching techniques used by lecturers in reading II at the second semester of English Department of Muhammadiyah University of Kendari academic year 2013/2014. This studyused 4 different lecturers who taught in four different classes. The data were gathered through observation, note taking, interviewing, and videotaping. These gathered data were analyzed based Miles and Huberman (1984).  The result of the study showed that lecturers mostly used three techniques: controlled, semicontrolled, and free. However, the most prevalent technique used by the lecturers is controlled techniques, and then followed by semi-controlled and free technique respectively. This study revealed two conflicting results. Firstly, most of lecturers who have been the subject of this study believed that controlled technique worked much better compared to semi-controlled and free technique in improving students’ reading comprehension. Secondly, what lecturers believed about their favored teaching technique does not in line with students’ good reading comprehension.    Keywords: Lecturers’ technique, Teaching Reading  AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek aspek dari taxonomy English language teaching yang digunakan oleh dosen pada saat mengajar matakuliah reading II pada semester II Jurusan Bahasa Inggris Universitas  Muhammadiyah Kendari tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan 4 dosen yang berbeda yang diajarkan di empat kelas yang berbeda. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, pencatatan, wawancara, dan rekaman video. Data ini dikumpulkan dan kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan Miles dan Huberman (1984). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosen menggunakan tiga teknik: control, semi control, dan free control. Namun, teknik yang paling umum digunakan oleh dosen dikendalikan teknik, dan kemudian diikuti denganteknik semi-dikontrol dan bebas masing-masing. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan dua hasil yang bertentangan. Pertama, sebagian besar dosen yang telah menjadi subyek penelitian ini percaya bahwa teknik terkontrol bekerja jauh lebih baik  dibandingkan dengan teknik semi-dikontrol dan bebas dalam meningkatkanpemahaman membaca siswa. Kedua, apa yang dosen percaya tentang teknik pengajaran favorit mereka tidak sejalan dengan baik pemahaman bacaan siswa.Kata Kunci: Teknik Dosen, Mengajar Membaca

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Implikasi Amandemen UUD 1945 TerhadapPergeseran Kekuasaan Kehakiman”. Penelitian ini dilakukan untukmengetahui pergeseran kekuasaan kehakiman di Indonesia setelah UUD1945 diamandemen. Metode penelitan hukum normatif. Perubahan UUD1945 sebanyak empat kali berimplikasi pada berbagai hal terutamakekuasaan kehakiman mengalami pergeseran dengan lahirnya mahkamahkonstitusi yang diberi kewenangan untuk melaksanakan sebagaiankekuasaan kehakiman. Komisi Yudisial sebagai lembaga yang melakukanpengawasan terhadap pelaksanaan kekuasaan kehakiman. MahkamahAgung bukan lagi satu-satunya lembaga negara yang melaksanakan fungsikekuasaan yudikatif. Reformasi konstitusi pada akhirnya melahirkan“negara baru” yang konstitusinya lebih memadai dan lebih menjamintercapainya suatu Negara hukum yang demokratis atau negara demokrasiyang berdasarkan hukum.Kata Kunci : Amandemen, UUD 1945, Pergeseran KekuasaanKehakiman, Sistem Hukum

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the business model of plastics recycling at UD. Wahyu Plastik based on Islamic economics perspective. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data is collected by observation, interview and document study. The results indicate that production factors: the land as a place of business is a privately owned by business owners, labor is positioned in place accordance with the needs of production, so there is no wastage of employees' wages, private capital and proceeds derived from bank loans, management functions apply to all stages of production, the raw materials, used plasctics, purchased from suppliers with the price of both sides agree. Plastics recycling of UD. Wahyu Plastik is limited to grinding the plastics into small pieces not yet ready for pellets/plastics seeds production or ready-made products. The recycling prosess is conducted through some stages: separating raw materials by type and color; cleaning and washing; milling of raw materials; drying of the mill; packing the dried mill into the sack. Palstics recycling business opportunity is formed due to the mutual effort of the collectors, plastics waste processors and manufacturers of finished products.
