Abstract

Regional development planning in Indonesia is conducted at all levels, including national, provincial, district/city, sub-district, and village. One form of village development planning is the Village or Kalurahan Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMDes/RPJMKal). The preparation of the plan must involve all elements of society, including youth. This study aims to 1) identify the role of youth in the preparation process of the Wedomartani Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMKal) for 2021-2026; 2) analyze the level of participation; and 3) identify youth representatives' perceptions of factors influencing youth roles. The research was conducted using a mixed method approach with descriptive analysis. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling method. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. The results showed that the role of youth is as a dynamizer, catalyst, motivator, innovator, and evaluator. Youth participation in the RPJMKal preparation process has reached the highest level or community power in the form of partnership. Based on the perception of youth representatives, the internal factor that influences the role of youth in the process of preparing the Wedomartani RPJMKal 2021-2026 is the age of youth. External factors that influence the role of youth include the village government, and community leaders.

Abstract

Walking is one of the physical activities that uses the feet as the main tool in moving, walking activities are included in the universal cheap transportation modes that are easily found in developed cities, to connect the movement of human activities from one area to another, so that socio-economic and cultural activities are created. This walking activity is a fundamental aspect of the city, where the centers of large urban economic activities depend on one of them on walking activities. A city that is friendly to walking activities is called a city with the character of Walkable City or a city that is friendly to pedestrians and the environment, while the status of a Walkable City can be known by analyzing the Walkable City Value (WIV) or the pedestrian-friendly index value of an observed area. The Walkable City concept promotes walking activities as the main means of transportation with the aim of improving a healthier lifestyle that is more environmentally friendly. In the city of Surabaya there are many centers of economic distribution, one of which is Jalan Tunjungan, the road is included in the Heritage area which has a center of economic, social and cultural activities, so that in any case it requires an analysis of the Walkability Index Value on the pedestrian path on the road. This study aims to analyze WIV on the Tunjungan Street lane, the analysis was conducted using the actual direct participatory observation method, in the observation area using a Likert scale questionnaire that was previously compiled. The results of this study are the Walkability Index Value of the Tunjungan Street Heritage Area, which is 86 out of a maximum score of 100. This value indicates that the quality of the Tunjungan Street Heritage Area is included in the "Highly Walkable" category.

Abstract

This study was conducted to identify and develop the tourism potential in Pakuan Village, Narmada Subdistrict, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The village holds significant potential to become a leading tourist destination, particularly through its natural wealth, such as waterfalls and forests, as well as its unique cultural heritage. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to thoroughly describe the potential for developing tourist attractions and natural resources in Pakuan Village. Through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, the study reveals several key barriers to tourism development, including limited accessibility and inadequate supporting infrastructure. However, there is a substantial opportunity to develop this village as a sustainable tourism destination by involving the local community in tourism management and leveraging government support. The results of the study indicate that community-based tourism development and environmental conservation are crucial to ensuring the preservation of Pakuan Village's natural and cultural heritage. Recommendations for improving accessibility, strengthening infrastructure, and enhancing promotion and marketing are suggested to optimize the village's tourism potential. The proposed strategies will contribute to improving the well-being of the local community and creating an engaging and sustainable tourist experience for visitors. The outcomes of this research include a publication in a nationally accredited Sinta journal with a minimum ranking of 3 and its use as teaching material.
