Abstract

Flood disaster is a disaster that often occurs in Indonesia, especially during the rainy season. One of the areas in Indonesia that experiences flooding every year is Tangerang City. The Total Persada Raya housing estate, located in Gembor Village, is one of the points most frequently flooded. The negative impact of this flood was not only experienced by the housing community, but also felt by people outside the housing area because the floods that occurred overflowed to Jalan Total Persada Raya where the road is the connecting access between Tangerang City and Tangerang Regency. Disaster management such as raising river embankments has been carried out, but reality floods still occur. Therefore, this study aims to determine the characteristics of flooding, the factors, and the dominant factors causing flooding in Total Persada Raya Housing based on public perception. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method and multiple linear regression analysis to connect the factors that influence each other and determine the dominant factor. The results showed that the flood disaster in Total Persada Raya Housing was a regular flood, with the influencing factors, namely natural factors such as rainfall (with a regression coefficient value of 0.941), and physiography (0.017), as well as non-natural factors such as land use (0.282), infrastructure conditions (0.916) and human activities (1.072); with human activities as the dominant factor that causes a flood. The implication of this research is that if humans maintain and protect nature, then nature will take care of humans.

Abstract

Ijen Crater Nature Park (TWAKI) is one of East Java Province's tourism destinations designated as a national tourism strategic area (KSPN). The natural beauty and the phenomenon of blue fire from the Ijen crater are an attraction for local and foreign tourists to visit the area. Also, an area that is prone to volcanic eruptions and fires. Administratively, Ijen is located in two districts, namely Banyuwangi and Bondowoso. The management of the area is carried out by the East Java Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA). Ijen borders the forest area managed by KPH Bondowoso and KPH Banyuwangi Barat. This potential area is also an attraction for stakeholders to be involved in developing Ijen Crater's natural tourism by their respective authorities. This study identifies the stakeholders' role in developing the TWAKI. The method used is an exploratory case study with pattern-matching analysis techniques. The study's results, namely the stakeholders' role in managing Ijen crater natural tourism, are divided into four categories: policy creators, implementers, facilitators, and conservators.

Abstract

Indonesia’s economic development inclusiveness accomplishment is relatively low. Mainly on economic’s growth and development. This is partly due to the orientation of past development which tends to be centralized. Since this centralized paradigm has diverted to decentralization, especially during the implementation of the village fund granting policy, it is necessary to examine the actual impact. This is a prominent issue considering that the implementation of village fund distribution has been running for more than five years and enough funds have been disbursed. Hence the purpose of this study is to measure the impact of providing village funds on the achievement of economic growth and development in Indonesia. The method used is a quantitative approach, with the technique of Difference-in-Difference (DID) analysis. The results of this study show that the provision of village funds is empirically proven to be able to positively accelerate the achievement of economic growth and development in a region in Indonesia. Thereupon the provision of village funds must remain consistently provided by continuing to seek various forms of improvement in its implementation

Abstract

South Tangerang City is experiencing a process of suburbanization, where the increase in population causes an increase in the need for space for development. If development activities are not controlled, it will reduce the quality of the environment and people's lives. Land management is an activity that aims to support development programs by utilizing the capacity of land resources. This study aims to analyze the level of regional development and analyze the influence of land administration in supporting regional development in South Tangerang City in 2016 and 2019. The level of regional development is analyzed weighted scalogram with modification of physical, social and economic variables. The relationship between the Y variable (Urban village development index-IPWK) and the X variable (Land administration) was modeled using Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). The results of the regional hierarchy analysis show that the urban village in South Tangerang City are dominant in Hierarchy 3 with an average IPWK value result 46.25 (2016) and 45.38 (2019), as a hinterland for DKI Jakarta. Land administration activities can have different positive and negative effects locally on the level of development of the urban village area.

Abstract

Spatial planning is an important policy in negotiating between increasing space requirements and existing space constraints. In the context of spatial planning at the village level, The Village Spatial Planning (VSP) can be one of solutions in solving spatial planning challenges in the scope of the village area. The existence of VSP has its pros and cons, due to the lack of empirical evidence on how village spatial planning should be done. This research aims to explain the background and process of preparing the VSP, as well as the factors that influence it based on inductive-qualitative approach. The research location was conducted in Jepitu Village, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. The consideration for choosing this location was due to various village management challenges that have the potential to impact space utilization, namely (1) Increasing the development of coastal tourism; (2) Southern Cross Road Program (SCRP); and (3) Village boundary issues related to the management of water resources. The data used are field observation data and in-depth interviews, and are supported by secondary data. The result of this research, there are internal factors and external factors that trigger the background for the preparation of the VSP. The internal factors consist of (1) Concerns of the Village Pamong; (2) Beach Tourism Area Management; (3) Economics; (4) Development Planning; and (5) Regional Mapping. The triggers from external factors, namely the presence of Supporting Agent. Meanwhile, the factors in the process of preparing the VSP, namely (1) Actors; (2) Community Participation; (3) Regional Mapping; and (5) Resistance. Based on the results of this study, VSP can be one of solution in solving various village area management challenges related to the provision spatial data on village boundaries and potentials to be used as a guide for village development planning.

Abstract

Mangrove forests have tangible and intangible benefits, but mangrove deforestation and degradation in Indonesia are relatively high due to economic reasons. Mangroves can contribute economically by considering social and economic characteristics, such as natural dye on traditional fabrics. Unfortunately, studies on mangroves' potential as a natural fabric dye and their relationship with social and economic potential are limited. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the feasibility, prospects, and challenges in developing natural dyes from mangroves for traditional fabrics. Through field observations in the Leuweung Sancang Nature Reserve in Garut Regency, interviews, and literature studies, this study used a descriptive approach with SWOT and financial analysis. At least three mangrove species can be used as natural dyes to produce brown color variants: Bruguiera gymnorrizha, Rhizophora mucronata, and Rhizophora apiculata. The strategic location, with an intense fabric industry and high community motivation, provided opportunities to develop mangrove dye products. The business was feasible and resistant to the economic crisis. However, even though the community knows the mangrove benefits of natural fabric dyes, there was no development practice because of no assistance in processing. Supports from the government, forestry extension agents, NGOs, and universities are essential for mangrove conservation while improving livelihood and economic welfare through the mangrove natural dyes business.

Abstract

Determining the correct strategic issues when developing an area is crucial so that the solution can effectively be implemented to the existing dynamics. Unfortunately, determining strategic issues is often disregarded or not taken seriously during the planning process. A Similar mistake of not defining strategic issues appropriately looms over the development of Mekarmanik Village, which is based on the Rasagalor Coffee Educational Tourism Concept. This research aims to understand the development dynamics happening in Mekarmanik Village so that the correct issue could be determined. By using data and information gathered from literature studies, focus group discussions, and field observations two types of analysis were done to correctly determine strategic issues that fit with the existing condition of Mekarmanik Village, namely case study, content analysis, and descriptive analysis. The result shows that the strategic issues of developing Mekarmanik Village as a tourism village are specific education, tourism concept exploration, and physical infrastructure improvement.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high potential for disasters such as earthquakes, which usually cause changes in the shape/position of the earth's surface (deformation). The Cianjur area has a seismic vulnerability level value based on maximum ground acceleration, maximum intensity and earthquake return period. On Monday, November 21, 2022 at 13.21 WIB there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 M in the Cianjur area of West Java based on BMKG data, until November 22, 2022 there were 140 aftershocks with magnitudes of 1.2-4.2 and an average depth of approximately 10 km. As a result, causing subsidence, the purpose of this study is to determine the magnitude of subsidence in landslides due to the 2022 Cianjur earthquake using the DInSAR method. Vertical land subsidence (displacement data) due to the earthquake from DInSAR observations on displacement data, which ranged up to -101mm vertically with two soil types andosol and cambisol Overlay analysis of soil type and displacement data showed the highest area of displacement, found a match based on information circulating that Cugenang Sub-district is the most severely affected area (the existence of a new fault "Cugenang").
