Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this research was to develop new learning models which integrating between  learning strategies and learning medias to the atomic structure subject. The research was done in the first state secondary vocational school of Talawi. The research population consisted of four classes. All of the population were used as the research samples, so there were four experiment classes. They were first class of experiment was taught by using cooperative learning model  was integrated with computer animation media; the second class of experiment was taught by using game learning model was integrated with computer animation media; the third class of experiment was taught by using game learning model was integrated with card media and the fourth class of experiment was taught by using game learning model was integrated with card media. The result of this research showed that  learning strategies had influence to the student learning result significantly. The learning media had influence to the student learning result significantly. There were interaction between learning strategy with learning media. The most optimum of learning model to increase student learning result was game learning model was integrated with card media. Abstract

Abstract. This study shows the effect of the method of problem solving on cognitive abilities and critical thinking skills in making proposals of educational research articles. This study used an experimental method, which was implemented in January 2015 until July 2015. The sample consisted of one class of a study that students of Chemical Education FKIP UISU TA. 2014/2015. The results were obtained using two test method is to test the cognitive domain that is a multiple choice test and critical thinking skills in the form of making a research proposal. From the results of the analysis, there is the influence of problem solving methods to the learning outcomes of students' critical thinking and student learning outcomes multiple-choice test on the results of student learning materials Research Methods. No influence student results test multiple-choice to the learning outcomes of students' critical thinking on the results of student learning course material research method there is no interaction between the two methode tests with the use of methods of problem solving, but no effect of the use of methods of problem solving on critical thinking ability of students in results students learn the material Research Methods. Abstract

Abstract. Of the experiments that have been done, adding liquid smoke in a sheet used 4,7 ml, 4,95 ml, and 5,2 ml in which the sheet  resulting brownish yellow with category RSS I and RSS II. Sheet produced on RSS Classification of I that with the addition of 4,95 ml of liquid smoke on the concentration of 10%, the concentration of the most ideal where there is no presence of popcorn or bubble on the sheet. Whereas at a concentration of 5% by volume of liquid smoke with 5,2 ml have results at a temperature of 50-600C are RSS I will but at temperatures above 600C changes on sheet to RSS II it is because the temperature is too hot so that the sheet obtained broken with the bubbles. Abstract

Abstrak. Pretrombin-2 merupakan prekursor trombin dan dapat berperan sebagai komponen lem fibrin (LF). LF merupakan biomaterial perekat yang dapat diaplikasikan sebagai pengganti teknik jahitan pasca operasi. Biomaterial ini terdiri dari trombin, fibrinogen dan faktor XIII sebagai komponen utamanya. Dalam LF, trombin rekombinan berperan sebagai enzim yang mengubah fibrinogen menjadi fibrin untuk membentuk benang-benang fibrin sehingga luka tertutup. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi ekspresi gen pretrombin-2 (PT2) manusia sintetik pada Escherichia coli secara in silico. Urutan asam amino pretrombin-2 manusia yang diperoleh dari data GeneBank dirubah ke dalam bentuk wild type urutan nukleotida menggunakan software OPTIMIZER sesuai dengan kodon preferensi E. coli K12, Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan Graphical Codon Usage Analyzer dan dioptimasi secara menual berdasarkan preferensi kodon E. coli dari data Codon Usage Database. Untuk memprediksi tingkat ekspresinya pada inang E. coli, dipelajari kajian ekspresi PT2 secara in silico menggunakan perangkat lunak dalam jaringan OptimumGeneTM. Hasil analisis secara in silico urutan nukleotida PT2 hasil optimasi dan wild type terhadap kodon preferensi E. coli menunjukkan bahwa, persentase rata-rata kandungan GC hasil optimasi sebesar 54,71% sedangkan wild type 52,56%, PT2 hasil optimasi memiliki 100% kodon dengan frekuensi tinggi, sedangkan wild type hanya 67%, dan PT2 hasil optimasi memiliki nilai Codon Adaptasi Index  satu, sedangkan wild type hanya 0,89. Dengan demikian dapat diprediksi bahwa gen pretrombin-2 manusia sintetik kemungkinan akan diekspresikan tinggi di inang E. coli. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in learning outcome is taught by models Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the model of Guided Inquiry (GI) and to investigate the cognitive level most growth in both classes. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique by taking two classes of class X MIPA-1 and as the experimental class 1 and class X MIPA 9 as an experimental class 2. The instrument used to determine student learning outcomes is an objective test in the form of multiple choice questions numbered 30 which has proven validity, level of difficulty, power differentiator, distractors, and reliability. R_11 price obtained for the price rtabel = 0.892 and 0.312. overall reliability of the test can be said to be reliable because rhitung> rtabel. Class 1 is given treatment experiments using models Contextual Teaching and Learning and the experimental class 2 given treatment using a model of Guided Inquiry. After the pretest and posttest and data processing of the obtained χ2 Calculate pre-test 0.380 and χ2 Calculate post-test 0.319 for the experimental class 1 and χ2 Calculate pre-test 0.223 and χ2 Calculate post-test 0.107 for the experimental class 2 and value sign α = 0.05. Because χ2 Calculate> sign, then the normal distribution of data. At Fhitung homogeneity test showed a smaller number than the F table, namely 0.248> 0,05untuk value pretest, 0.16> 0.05 for the value posttest and 0.743> 0.05 for the gain so that the data homogeneous. Gain learning outcomes in the experimental class 1 .7756 (75.56%), gain learning outcomes in the experimental class 2 .5640 (56.40%). Based on the results of testing the hypothesis improving student learning outcomes obtained price sign> α ie 0.000> 0.005 with a significance level (α = 0.05) so that Ha is accepted and we can conclude that there are differences in learning outcome is taught by models Contextual Teaching and Learning and Guided models Inquiry. In addition, also obtained an increase in cognitive Siswadi experimental class that is at the level of knowledge (C1) amounted to 54.17%, of understanding (C2) of 78.85%, the application (C3) amounted to 75.62%, and for analysis (C4) amounted to 77.22% and an increase in cognitive students in the experimental class 2, namely the level of knowledge (C1) amounted to 51.67%, of understanding (C2) of 47.93%, the application (C3) amounted to 49.58%, and for analysis (C4) of 65.05%. Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to obtain an innovative student worksheet (LKS) on Redox reaction and its influence on learning outcomes, affective and psychomotor attitudes of high school students. To achieve the objectives, conducted quasi-experimental research which starts from the assessment of some chemical LKS redox which  used in high school students of MIA of X class, compile worksheets based innovative PBL, standardize, and limited test. There are two types of instruments in this research instrument a questionnaire BSNP non test and test instrument in the form of a multiple choice test is valid. The results obtained from this study: (1). Student worksheet (LKS) redox developed already meet the standards set by the National Education Standards Beureau. (2) The results of the student learning outcomes of senior high school students that learned using innovative worksheets on the redox reaction is higher than using an existing worksheet. (3). Affective percentage of students that learned using innovative worksheets on the redox reaction is higher than using existing worksheets. (4). Psychomotor percentage of students that learned using innovative worksheets on the material and the redox reaction is higher than using existing worksheets. Abstract

Abstract. Guava is one type of fruit that has not received special attention in Indonesia. Guava fruit in unfavorable environmental conditions will cause damage guava fruit, both in appearance, texture, aroma and nutritional value. One way to overcome this problem is by low temperature processing such as Velva. To obtain good results Velva with a soft texture and smooth to use stabilizers with the right amount. Objective: To determine the effect of various concentrations of adding cornstarch to receive power Velva guava. This study is an experimental test using a hedonic liking organoleptic test. Conducted at the Laboratory of Food Technology Nutrition Department Banda Aceh, on the 29th until August 31, 2012 with the number of panelists somewhat trained 25 students from the Department of Nutrition Level III. The research design uses completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial, processing and analyzing data using Analysis Fingerprint Car (ANSIRA) and continued with Duncan test to see some real treatment effect. From the test results mean organoleptic guava Velva Velva acquired taste panelists are most preferred in treatment B (1%), the most preferred color Velva panelist is in treatment C (1.5%), the most preferred scents Velva panelist is on C treatment (1.5%), and the texture of the most preferred Velva panelist is in treatment B (1%). The addition of cornstarch concentration significantly affect flavor and texture, but did not significantly affect the color and aroma of guava Velva. Keywords: velva, guava, meizena

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui angka peroksida dan asam lemak bebas (FFA = free fatty acid) minyak goreng curah dan kemasan merek A, B, dan C yang dipakai masyarakat menggoreng secara berulang menggunakan metode titrasi alkalimetri dan iodometri. Populasi penelitian adalah minyak goreng curah dan kemasan dan sampel diambil secara  acak 2 kg minyak curah,dan 2 kg masing-masing minyak kemasan merek A, B, dan C yang dijual di pasar tradisional di Medan. Metode penelitian menggunakan titrasi alkalimetri dan iodometri. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan cara membandingkan angka peroksida dan FFA minyak goreng yang dipakai menggoreng secara berulang (minyak jelanta) terhadap minyak goreng control (sebelum digunakan menggoreng) dan standar mutu minyak goreng SNI 01-3741-2013. Dari analisis data diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: Angka peroksida sebelum dipakai menggoreng (mek O2/kg); minyak curah: 2,718; minyak kemasan merek A: 2,039; merek B: 2,039; merek C: 2,039; setelah penggorengan I - IV (150-200oC): minyak curah: 6,796; 9,588; 13,659; 17,669: merek-A: 4,757; 8,835; 10,873; 14,951; merek-B: 5,437; 8,834; 11,553; 14,951; merek-C:  4,757; 8,155; 12,912; 15,696. Angka FFA sebelum dipakai menggoreng (mg KOH/gr): minyak curah: 0,0686; minyak kemasan merek A: 0,0480; merek B: 0,0480; merek C: 0,0412; setelah penggorengan I-IV: minyak curah: 0,3981; 0,5215; 0,7007; 1,1262; minyak kemasan merek-A:  0,3294; 0,4187; 0,6451; 0,9540; merek-B: 0,3562; 0,4392; 0,6931; 0,8853; merek-C: 0,3232; 0,3843; 0,6958; 0,8586. Ambang batas standar mutu minyak goreng yang layak dipakai menurutSNI 01-3741-2013: angka peroksida 10 mek O2/kg; FFA. 0,6 mg KOH/g. Dari  analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Minyak goreng curah dan kemasan merek A, B, C yang dijual di pasartradisional di Medan memenuhi standar kualitas SNI 01-3741-2013 sebelum digunakan untuk menggoreng, dan bila digunakan maka hanya dua kali layak dipakai untuk menggoreng bahan pangan. Disarankan kepada masyarakat khususnya di kota Medan agar pemakaian minyak goreng curah dan kemasan merek A, B, dan C yang dijual di pasar tradisional di Medan cukup hanya dua kali dipakai untuk menggoreng bahan pangan demi menjaga kesehatan masyarakat  yang menggunakannya. Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar kimia terintegrasi nilai-nilai spiritual untuk kelas XI SMA/MA Semester 1 dan melihat kelayakannya berdasarkan standar kelayakan BSNP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang dimodifikasi dari model pengembangan Borg & Gall. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 buku ajar kimia untuk kelas XI SMA/MA berdasarkan kurikulum 2013, 2 orang dosen program pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Medan dan 20 orang guru kimia kelas XI SMA/MA di Kota Medan sebagai validator ahli. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah angket dengan skala 5, yaitu angket penilaian terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berdasarkan BSNP yang terdiri dari empat standar kelayakan, yaitu standar kelayakan isi, standar kelayakan bahasa, standar kelayakan penyajian, dan standar kelayakan kegrafikaan. Hasil standarisasi menunjukkan standar kelayakan isi memiliki rata-rata = 4,26 adalah valid, artinya sangat layak dan tidak perlu revisi, standar kelayakan bahasa memiliki rata-rata = 4,31 adalah valid, artinya sangat layak dan tidak perlu revisi, standar kelayakan penyajian memiliki rata-rata =  4,39 adalah valid, artinya sangat layak dan tidak perlu revisi, dan standar kelayakan kegrafikaan memiliki rata-rata = 4,37 adalah valid, artinya sangat layak dan tidak perlu revisi. Dari hasil standarisasi didapatkan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai-nilai spiritual tidak mengurangi tingkat keilmiahan bahan ajar kimia yang dikembangkan, sehingga diharapkan kepada guru kimia khususnya kelas XI SMA/MA dapat menggunakan bahan ajar terintegrasi nilai-nilai spiritual untuk membantu siswa dalam pencapaian KI 1 dan membantu guru dalam menerapkan KI 1 dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci: standarisasi, bahan ajar, pendidikan karakter, nilai-nilai spritual

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to obtain a chemistry text book of SMA/MA Class XI second semester internalized character values of student. Populasi student learning outcomes of this study were (1) all existing chemistry teacher in Kisaran categorized expert teacher and chemistry lecturer of Universitas Negeri Medan in Medan. (2) all eleventh grade students the second semester of school year 2015/2016 SMA Muhammadiyah 8 in Kisaran. The entire sample was selected by purposive sampling. Samples were determined in this study were (1) a chemistry teacher with a minimum of formal education criteria S1 and teaching experience in schools, a chemistry lecturer of Universitas Negeri Medan with the criteria of formal education S2 at least 5 years, is being actively teach and master the basic chemical materials that are relevant to the material high school chemistry (2) Class XI IPA 1 was given treatment using chemical text book SMA/MA Class XI second semester internalized character values of student based on curriculum 2013. Based on test data analysis requirements the results showed that (1) The results of due diligence analysis chemistry textbook that is based on the standard BSNP amounted to 3.69 visits of criterion validity textbook is quite valid but need to be revised (2) based on the opinions of teachers and lecturers to test the feasibility of chemistry textbook produced in research this meets the standards required by the National Education standards in the amount of 4.41 means that valid and do not need to be revised. (3) based on the opinions of teachers and lecturers to test the feasibility of textbook internalized character values ​​of students in this study meet the standards of assessment rubrics of 4.43 categorized character very well. (4) based on the opinions of students to test the feasibility of textbook internalized character values ​​of students in this study meet the standards of assessment rubrics character is of 4.42 which is considered very good. (5) Improved student learning outcomes using chemistry textbook produced in this study were of 0.69 or 69% were categorized as moderate. (6) Based on data obtained learning outcomes sign value <0.05 (0.002 <0.05) the use of high school chemistry textbook / MA class XI internalized second semester student of character values ​​higher than the KKM.
