Abstract

This research is a kind of quasi-experimental research which aims to know the effectof Learning Method and Parent’s Education Background on English Speaking Ability.This research uses post test only for control group design. The population of this study isall student of class X private Madrasah Aliyah in Kabupaten Indramayu term 2018/2019in even semester taken with purposive sampling technique that takes two classes from theexisting population to be used as a sample. Research data is in a quantitative data formatwhich is reflected by the result of post test score of English speaking ability. Based on thehypothesis test, we got the results as follow: (1), There is a significant effect of learningmethod on student’s English speaking ability in private Madrasah Aliyah in KabupatenIndramayu. It is proved by Sig.value = 0.005 < 0.05 and F count = 8.236; (2) There is asignificant effect of Parent’s Education Background on student’s English speakingability. It is proved by Sig.value = 0.039 < 0.05 and F count = 4.398; (3) There is asignificant interactive effect of learning method and Parent’s Education Background onstudent’s English speaking ability in private Madrasah Aliyah in Kabupaten Indramayu. Itis proved by Sig.value 0.023 < 0.05 and F count = 5.373

Abstract

This article aims to determine the relationship between fathering and emotional maturitywith intimacy in having a romantic relationship with female students at the Faculty ofPsychology, X University. The subjects in this study were 104 female students aged 18 to25 years in which the data collection method was using accidental sampling technique.Measuring instruments used were intimacy scale (14 items, α = 0.814), fathering scale (16items, α = 0.924), and emotional maturity scale (22 items, α = 0.760). Based on the resultsof data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 22 with bivariate correlation techniques, thereis a no significant relationship between fathering with intimacy in having a romanticrelationship of r = 0.090 and p = 0.362; (p) > 0.05, and there is a significant positiverelationship between emotional maturity with intimacy in having a romantic relationshipof r = 0.354 and p = 0.000; (p) < 0.05. Furthermore, the results of data analysis withmultivariate correlation techniques obtained correlation coefficient R = 0.361, R2 = 0.130,and p = 0.001; (p) < 0.05 . This states that there is a relationship between fathering andemotional maturity with intimacy in having a romantic relationship with female studentsat the Faculty of Psychology, X University

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study that aims to examine the relationship of confidence and anxietywith cheating behavior during national examinations in class XII students of SMAN 8 Bekasi. Thesubjects in this study were 191 students in class XII of SMAN 8 Bekasi as a sample using a proportionalsampling technique random sampling. This study uses 3 scales, namely: the Cheating Behavior scale,the Confidence scale, and the HARS scale to measure anxiety. The results of this study indicate thatthere is a significant relationship between Confidence and Cheating Behavior at SMAN 8 Bekasi withr = 0.750 and p = 0.000 <0.05. There was a significant relationship of anxiety support with cheatingbehavior r = 0.627 and p = 0.000 <0.05. There is a significant relationship of Confidence and Anxietywith Cheating Behavior R = 0.762 and p = 0.000 <0.05. From the results of the study it can beconcluded that the higher the confidence the lower the cheating behavior and vice versa, the lower theconfidence the higher the cheating behavior, then the lower the anxiety the lower the cheating behavior,so the higher the anxiety the higher the higher the anxiety cheating behavior

Abstract

Writing is one of the productive skills that require precision and perseverance. In thelearning process, students often find it difficult to learn to write. Experiential Learning is astudent-centered learning method that emphasizes learning experience. The purpose of this studywas to determine the effect of the use of Experiential Learning model on English students' writingskills in the fourth semester of Teacher Elementary Education of University of MuhammadiyahTangerang. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental designmethod. The instrument used in this study was a descriptive essay writing test. The resultsshowed: (1) the results of the pretest t-count 2,319> t-table 2,000 or H1 were accepted, namelythere were differences in writing skills between the control class and the experimental class, (2)the results of the posttest t-count 2,319> t-table 2,000 or H1 were accepted or there weredifferences in writing skills between control classes and experimental class after being given theExperiential Learning model. It can be concluded that by employing the Experiential Learningmodel, students can get maximum writing results because though this learning model, studentscan reflect the knowledge they have during the learning process of writing

Abstract

Psychological well-being is the condition of an individual who is prosperous and able toachieve optimal psychological potential. Emotional quotient is the ability to control yourself,to withstand frustration and to motivate yourself, and to use your emotions positively in dealingwith others. Coping stress is the individual's ability to deal with and adapt to stressfulsituations, as well as being able to choose appropriate problem solutions. The purpose of thisstudy was to determine the relationship between emotional quotient and coping stress onpsychological well-being in the eldest child in Sub-district X Bogor. The sample in this studywere 115 subjects with data collection methods using accidental sampling techniques. Themeasuring instruments used were psychological well-being scale (27 items, α = 0.886),emotional quotient scale (29 items, α = 0.883) and coping stress scale (29 items, α = 0.930).The results showed that there was a positive relationship between psychological well-beingand emotional quotient of 0.293 and there was a positive relationship between psychologicalwell-being and coping stress of 0.608. Furthermore, the results of data analysis with multivariate correlation obtained the correlation coefficient Rx1x2y = 0.627 and p = 0.000 (p<0.05). This states that Ho3 is rejected and Ha3 "There is a relationship between emotionalquotient and coping stress on psychological well-being in the eldest child in Sub-district XBogor" accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Self-Esteem and StresLevel with Psychological Well Being in adolescents at the Tanjung BaratOrphanage. The sampling method uses the total sampling technique. The numberof samples used in this study were 50 people with the characteristics of boys andgirls aged 13 years - 17 years. The data collection method itself consists of apsychological well being scale, a self-esteem scale, and a stres level scale. Theresults of data analysis with bivariate correlation showed that there was asignificant relationship between self-esteem and psychological well being with acorrelation coefficient of r = 0.404 with p = 0.004 (p <0.05), there was arelationship between stres and psychological well being with a correlationcoefficient of r = -0.431 with p = 0.002 (p <0.05). The results of data analysis withmultivariate correlation showed r = 0.583 with p = 0.000 (p <0.05), so there is asignificant relationship between self-esteem and stres with psychological wellbeing among adolescents at the Tanjung Barat Orphanage. The coefficient ofdetermination or R Square is 0.340, which means the contribution of self-esteemalong with stres levels with psychological well being. Based on the output of theStepwise Method, self-esteem contributes to psychological well being by 15.4% (RSquare Change 0.154). Meanwhile, the stres contribution to psychological wellbeing was 18.5% (R Square Change 0.185).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the implementation andimpact the program of the ToT Nilai-nilai Kebangsaan Lemhannas RI forteachers and lecturers in West Java Province. Some previous researchesexplained that radicalism growth in the world of schooling in West Java. Fromthe internalization of national values carried out by teachers towards students, itwas formed as an effective strategy as well as a model of deradicalization inschooling. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Interviewsand observations were chosen as data collection techniques to obtain deepresults. The results of this research were that the teachers who were alumni of theToT Nilai-nilai Kebangsaan Lemhannas RI generally participate in socializingnational values in learning through varied methods in accordance with thesubjects they are taught. There were differences way or method in implementingnilai-nilai kebangsaan into the course, even though student’s respond wasenthusiast.

Abstract

Ideology actually comes from a philosophical system, and is the implementation of aphilosophical system. Communism originated in the philosophy of materialism, gave birth toatheism and class struggle and the dictatorship of the proletariat. Pancasila originates fromthe philosophy of the Indonesian nation itself since time immemorial in the 'triprakoro'(Notonagoro term), namely customs, culture, and religion. Then with deep thought the'founding fathers' made Pancasila the state ideology. Pancasila as the ideology of theIndonesian nation is the work of the Indonesian nation itself, which is parallel to the othermajor ideologies in the world, it even has advantages over other ideologies.This research method is based on literature research, so the data collected isqualitative data that is processed by reflective method, equipped with the 'verstehen' method.The results showed that the Pancasila ideology had advantages over the ideology ofcommunism, liberalism and fascism. The Pancasila ideology also has resilience not onlybecause of the internal factors of the ideology itself, namely its amazing unanimity andintegrity, but also because of the support of external factors, namely the guardians of thePancasila ideology, both formal and informal.

Abstract

The significant increase in the number of child sexual abuse in Indonesia from 2016 to 2019requires serious attention and handling. The most common negative effect felt by victims ofsexual abuse is psychological damage. This damage can have both short and long term negativeimpacts. Several factors that can strengthen the long-term effects of sexual abuse are the factorsof the perpetrator of sexual abuse, the type of sexual abuse experienced, how sexual abuse iscarried out, the openness of the victim after sexual abuse, and the social support the victimreceives. Respondents of this study were 300 adults who had experienced sexual abuse duringchildhood, using accidental sampling technique. Data collection uses google form which isdistributed via WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, and email. Data analysis used are IndependentSample T-Test and Oneway Anova. The results of the analysis show that there are significantdifferences in the long-term psychological impact of victims of child sexual abuse in terms of thefactors of the perpetrator of the abuse, the type of abuse, the way the abuse was carried out, theopenness of the victim and the social support received by the victim.

Abstract

The participation of young people in the Creative Economy Sector is needed. Amid the effects of thepandemic, which is the effect of the global economic downturn, the results of a recent survey on May 14-202020 of American teenagers showed that teenagers remain open to becoming entrepreneurs and startingbusinesses. The question is about how the intention to become entrepreneurial in Indonesian youth,especially in DKI Jakarta. In this case, we focus on research on how the influence of personality, religiosity,and spirituality as well as entrepreneurial self-efficacy affects entrepreneurial intentions. Data from asample of 215 adolescents from schools in Central Jakarta and West Jakarta were then processed using theStructure Equation Model (SEM) technique through the use of SmartPLS3 software. The results show thatMachiavellianism does not have a significant effect, in contrast to narcissism which has a positive effect,and psychopathy which has a greater negative effect on entrepreneurial intentions than the positiveinfluence of religious activity and faith-based coping on entrepreneurial intentions. This study concludedthat psychopathic personality has a direct negative effect on entrepreneurial intention. Meanwhile,narcissism, religious activities, and faith-based coping have a positive effect on entrepreneurial intentions,but entrepreneurial self-efficacy is needed as a mediator for religious activities to have a better effect on theentrepreneurial intention of adolescents in DKI Jakarta
