Abstract

The problem studied in this study is how to improve learning achievement on with the Demonstarsi method in class II students of SDN 2 Ngandong ,Gantiwarno, Klaten The discussion of the description of this research is how the teacher increases the students' ability to carry out demonstrations. The research method used was action research by determining the steps: planning, implementing, collecting data, and reflecting on each step using two cycles. The results of the study from the first cycle only 81.57% or 16 students who scored above the KKM while 18.43% or 5 students got grades below the KKM. Because it has not yet reached the KKM, the researchers proceed to cycle II. In cycle 2 there was a significant increase in which 89.47% of students had mastered the competencies that had been set. Out of the 21 students, 19 students have met the specified KKM. From the results of the implementation of the first cycle and second cycle, it can be concluded that using the demonstration method can improve the learning achievement of the theme "My family" grade II students at SDN 2 Ngandong, Gantiwarno, Klaten.

Abstract

There are many students who have not been able to count and perform arithmetic operations well. This study aims to improve students' numeracy skills by using number sticks. A number stick is a stick-shaped tool that is modified in such a way that there are numbers on it as a tool for counting. This research is a classroom action research with the research subjects of grade 1 students of SDN 024 Munsalo Kopah, totaling 15 students with 8 boys and 7 girls. Research implementation in September - October 2019. The instrument used was the observation sheet. The results showed that students' numeracy skills after being given learning using number sticks in the first cycle in the first cycle were 57.22% with a sufficient category. In the second cycle it increased to 64.44% which is in the good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the numeracy skills of grade 1 students at SDN 024 Munsalo Kopah have increased with the use of number sticks.

Abstract

This paper describes the activity of yoga asana in optimizing children gross motoric skill. It is a qualitative descriptive study involving early age children in Buahan Village, Bali in Yoga Asana as an activity to improve physical activity in covid-19 pandemic. The data source used primary and secondary data sources. The primary data source was collected from the result of observation and interview regarding to Asana’s systematic and sequences. The secondary data was collected from yoga literature review and research review, especially yoga for the children. Data analysis used content analysis about child muscle activity in every Asana in every steps of Yoga Asana. The finding showed that Yoga Asana activity consisted of five steps namely asana stretching, the core of asana, relaxation, pranayama, and simple meditation. From these sequences, asana stretching and the core of asana could the most optimize the child gross motoric performance by (1) improving child movement range through joint movement, (2) improving physical activity performance by preparing muscle, train muscular flexibility behind the knee, strengthening muscles of arms, back, stomach, shoulders and legs, (3) improving flexibility and align the spinal nerves, (4) improving movement coordination of the child body.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of understanding  students have in working on graph theory material problems due to differences in students' thinking processes, and  student learning styles when studying discrete mathematics, which requires different thinking with Boolean algebra material. Each student has a different way of thinking skills and learning style. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods so that this study has the objective to find out how the students' mathematical thinking processes in working on graph theory material problems and what obstacles are experienced by students in terms of their learning styles. The focus of research in this study, namely to analyze mathematical thinking processes on graph theory material in terms of student learning styles. The instruments in this study were researchers and also graph theory test questions that were used to view students' thought processes. The research subjects were 5 semester students, as many as 3 people with visual, auditory and kinesnetik learning styles. Then given the problem of graph theory as much as 2 questions, one question in the form of text and another in the form of images. The results show that students with visual learning styles tend to be included in students who have a conceptual thinking process, students with auditory learning styles tend to be included in students who have semi-conceptual thinking processes, while students with kinesthetic learning styles, including students who have computational thinking process . Barriers experienced by students include the lack of understanding of the basic concepts of graph theory and the trajectories and trajectories of Euler and Hamilton.

Abstract

Learning Natural Sciences in the  Kepanjen II Elementary School Jombang District in class IV on the material Effect of Style on the shape and direction of motion of objects, experiencing problems in the form of the difficulty of understanding the material by students. From the results of the evaluation of learning shows that only 55% of 30 students scored above the specified KKM of 75.0. Based on problems occur, the researchers planned improvement of learning 2 cycles. At the planning stage the analysis is done by KI and KD making indicators and learning objectives continued Developing learning implementation plans and Developing learning assessment instruments and making learning media namely Augmented reality applications. At the Implementation stage of learning has increased both the activities of teachers and student activities. Overall the increase in teacher activity increased from 70% to 80%. Medium student activity increased from 72% to 90%. Learning outcomes before using the media card Augmented Reality 55% completeness classic. Student learning outcomes in classical learning cycle completeness 63% and cycle II increased to 84%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' responses to learning to read narrative text comprehension using the KWLA strategy (What I Already Know, What I Want to Know, What I Learned, and The Affect of the Story). A collecting data in this study used a questionnaire in the form Unstructured questionnaires and interviews The results of the data were obtained and analyzed quantitatively qualitatively The data generated in the form of numbers were then described Based on the results of the study, it was found that aspects 1 to 5 that contained responses of students' interest in learning thus obtained by 90.4% included in the category very good.In aspects 6 to 10 which contain student responses to ease in understanding and learning the material obtained a percentage of 89.1% included in the very good category. In aspects 11 to 13 which contain student responses in the activity and courage to express opinions in the learning process a percentage of 87 is obtained , 9% in the category of very good, and aspects 14 to 15 which contain responses to the ease of students in concluding learning activities get an average percentage of 90.2% included in the very good category. This shows that the KWLA strategy is able to increase student interest in efforts to improve reading comprehension skills.
